This is the convenience store with an Exxon branded gas station on the main road in Nashville, GA. Went there as it’s just down the block, the product purchased and handed to us out of the case by the clerk/owner had a sticker price of $12.00, however was charged $15.00 per the receipt. Didn’t notice the difference until we got back home so my b/f went back with the item to the store where he was told by the clerk/owner well, “look all the others are marked $15.00” but the one given to him was clearly labeled with the same yellow price sticker for $12.00. The man refused to honor the price that was clearly marked with THEIR sticker. I’ll now be advising both the BBB & my bank, so I’m hopeful this will be corrected. Honorable stores DO NOT operate this way. Perhaps we were given an older one that’s been on the shelf longer and they used to sell them for $12 or it was an error where someone didn’t update this one by removing the old sticker, or just human error by an employee when tagging them, etc. BUT it wasn’t our error as the consumer and it’s a gross practice on their part or in general for any business NOT TO HONOR the sticker price that is clearly on an item. Needless to say, BUYER BEWARE and take a moment to check the sticker price vs. what they ring up and charge you on your receipt. Places like this give small businesses a bad reputation for their shady practices.
