We spent a sunny fall morning here with our kids. It was nice and peaceful, just a few people were walking their dogs. It is a beautiful lake, we liked it in the summer as well. The kids had fun rearranging rocks on the beach, collecting fall leaves. It was a little bit muddy, but we wore hiking boots. It is an amazing place, even in the fall. It has a few picnic tables, where we ate our snacks. The restrooms were closed.

We loved bringing a little picnic lunch to the lake sitting in a beautifully shaded area overlooking the crystal clear lake. The water in lake blue ridge is fantastic and clear. The swim area is well marked. There was ample parking and several picnic tables, but room to bring your own as well. The best part is that the park is dog friendly. The water’s edge is very rocky underfoot in a wide swath despite the sand, absolutely very much requiring soled water shoes or at least some secure flip flopping slides.

A wonderful national park on lake Blue Ridge with a campground. You can camp, swim from & play on the beach. Launch kayaks, & SUPS. Has showers & bathrooms Excellent location to watch sunset. Has boat ramps. The grandkids love going there. It earns 5 stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited July 2023. The entrance fee is $5/person 16 or older. Kayaks can be rented for $20/hour and you also have to leave your car keys or your whole wallet for security. I guess they had issues last year of people not coming back for their credit card.Staff was very helpful, snack bar prices were reasonable. Staff blows up tubes for you if you buy one.Lots of picnic tables in the shade.

Perfect place for our family get-together! Water is cool and clear, and you can NOT beat the view!!Restrooms: Large, clean bathrooms. There is also a separate area for changing and a shower for rinsing off.Dog-friendliness: I didn't see any signs that were dog prohibitive.Picnic area: There was plenty of space and tables for the multiple family/friend outings going on around us.

Price is now per person instead of per car. Nice area with bath house and gift shop. Has water shoes for kids, but not adults. Beach is rocky not sandy and you would benefit from water shoes.

Nice beach, only good thing I can mention. Admission fee is $5 per person cash only to be deposited on an envelope, no one to assist if no cash. No lifeguard on duty. Beach rentals (kayak, paddle boards, etc) closed by 5. No vending machines, just restrooms. No pets allowed. Too many no’s. Very disappointing.

Good swimming in spite of rocky sand beach. Nice bathhouse and changing area. Paddle board and kayak rentals are available. Picnic tables. Well worth the admittance fee as it is well maintained.

The worse experience camping. Not generator friendly even if needed after storms. Unfriendly "Boss Manager" she wouldn't give her name. Approached aggressively, screaming about our generator. Then when I asked why are you being aggressive? She stated ill show you aggressive. Then came closer to me with my dogs, screaming craziness. Unacceptable behavior. Dirty restroom except the main one. Road needs repairs. Deep holes. The best part was the beach at the lake. Seems to be 3 camphor for a very small campground. Dont brother getting the pay envelope. They will be in your site in under 5 minutes. Looks like more workers living in the campground then campers. I cant say enough how horrible of an experience we had with the "Boss Manager" just do better. She needs anger management.

Went in the afternoon and really wasn’t very busy. There were people there but not crowded. There are lots and lots of rocks on the bottom so make sure to have water shoes. You can see into the water for a little ways out, but then it’s too dark/deep. Water was cold but bearable. If I had to guess probably around 70 degrees. You pay by deposit box.
