Walton athletic 24 have a great family atmosphere and ambiance. Great rates, very clean, friendly and helpful service with endless options to work out, tan, one-on-one training, spin classes aerobics sauna, and indoor pool all convenient at once disposal. The owner William Berry is unique in his personal friendly touch One must experience him for their self.

Lot of good equipment but as others have said it is nearly all old and showing it’s age. It does get the job done however and there is not much else in the Monroe area.The layout of the gym is very poor and makes it feel crowded. Machines and equipment filling every single inch to the point there is barely any room to walk around. Lot of the machines are repeats and not used much so are not even needed. The gym as a whole is just dirty. The locker rooms and bathrooms are especially bad. The tile, paint, and carpentry work is awful and looks very unprofessional. I honestly think my 5 year old nephew could have done a better job. I will be joining the new YMCA a few miles away as soon as it opens and I know several other members feel the same way.

This gym was not the best. It was never really clean and the equipment is out of date. They do have plenty of weights and squat racks instead of a bunch of random cardio machines which is good. The staff was super friendly and they have 24 hour access which is great. But the I just don’t like how everything seems a little bit dirty like the locker rooms and showers and other parts of the gym.

Fantastic gym, overall everything is great. My biggest concern is the quality of the barbells. Several are bent and others have loose sleeves. Some new Rogue or Texas power bars would make a huge difference.

A humble gym of wonderful people. For exercise enthusiastically, elderly, young, disabled, people that are looking to lose hundreds of pounds. Which is me. I’m over weight and disabled. Perfect place for myself and my husband.

Best decision I've ever made was to join Walton Fitness 24. I take the Arthritis Water Aerobics class. Every Tuesday and Thursday. At 2:00p.m. And it's Loads of Fun and Amazing the way it makes your Body feel is Amazing. I wish I would have joined that class a long long time. ?

Cannot sing Mr. Berry's praises enough! He has single handedly kept high school competitive swimming alive and well in Social Circle, Monroe & Walnut Grove! He cares about his customers, his employees and his community! Gym is always clean, I always feel safe there and he is constantly updating his equipment and classes offered!

I love this fitness center, It's always nice and clean! This gym has everything you would expect in a gym including an indoor pool. The equipment is up-to-date and is always operable. The owner, Mr. Berry, is the coolest. If you reside in or near Monroe you should definitely consider this gym.

The gym has a lot of free weights and a fair amount of cardio equipment. It's very bare bones, no TVs, nothing fancy, but fine. The reason for 3 stars, and I was thinking about 2 stars, is cleanliness. I won't use the ladies showers, there's black mold in the grout on the walls and floor. The locker room is severely lacking. It has some lockers, but no benches to sit on to change. I swim, dry off, and go home to shower so I don't have to touch things in the locker room. I would be hesitant to use weight machines without wiping off with a disenfectant first.

I have my piece of the fitness pie! I finally visited the gym, liked what I saw and I now have a membership. They especially won me over with the steam room and exercise access 24 hrs.

The gym is an old school gym where free weights dominate the floor which is great for my goals. It is nice to workout in a gym that is not dominated by a ton of cardo equipment that no one uses. The reason for the 3 stars is that they have as poor cleaning crew. I get to the gym at a very early time in the morning and the trash cans are over flowing with paper towels. There are empty and partially filled water bottles laying around. The showers are not cleaned daily for I have see garbage on top of the shower surrounds be up there for weeks before being removed. I have been known to take the sanitizer spray off the gym floor to spray on the shower walls to help feel better about taking a shower. Because I am getting to the gym very early this leads me to believe that the cleaning crew is either not doing their job or they are cleaning prior to the evening rush being over. Would love to give a higher rating but the cleanliness of the gym is what leads to my 3 star review.
