We came from a wonderful Montessori preschool out of state and didn’t think we’d find another one we loved as much, but Guidepost Montessori at Deerfield has exceeded our expectations on every front. Two of our kids, ages 5 and 3, started in the Childrens House Spanish Classroom in Aug. 2023. The Lead Guide, Ms. Erika, is in tune with both of our kids’ personalities, emotional needs, and academic interests. My 5 year old became nervous when she first toured the classroom, and she started tearing up. Erika immediately got down to her level and asked her to help feed the fish. My daughter’s fear was gone in that moment, and it gave us a preview into Erika’s deep awareness and sensitivity. She is supported by two other wonderful guides who also know our kids very well. If my kids are having a hard time separating in the morning, every guide has stepped in on different occasions and offered an activity they know that kiddo loves, so they happily walk into the classroom. Both my kids are smiling and happy when I pick them up at the end of every day. One big highlight is when I pick them up after lunch (they do half-day), and see the class sitting and listening to one of the students lead story time, telling a story from their imagination. It’s a beautiful scene to observe. More things we love:- Outstanding teachers/guides to provide both emotional and academic support. They truly know and care about the kids.- Special events in the classroom on a regular basis, e.g. pumpkin carving, Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, parent-led story time.- Perfect amount of communications from the leadership team. Ms. Nikki and Ms. Jessica are highly responsive and professional.- A few daily photos from the classroom.- Huge variety of Montessori works to choose from, not to mention a robust outdoor playground.- Immaculate school and classrooms, especially during cold & flu season.- Ton of events/activities to build community with the other Guidepost families.

We have been extremely happy with our 3-year-old daughter attending Guidepost since she was 11 months. We have been through the staff turnover and had some tough times, but Miss Nikki and Miss Jessica have brought a sturdiness to the school's foundation that was missing. We have been amazed at the progression of our child. It is evident the care and love her guides show her are accelerating her development. Miss Aline is an exceptional Lead Guide and is a large part as to why our child runs into her classroom each morning. The school is clean, the community is so vibrant, and we will be fortunate to drop off our 2nd child starting in 2024.

I love, love, love Deerfield!!! In order to give you perspective I will first tell you about the first Montessori school we took our daughter to, and then contrast it with how Deerfield does things. My husband and I had found the Pinterest perfect Montessori school in Milton and we thought we had found the best place for my 3 month old daughter. Little did we know that as pretty as that place was, as much make up and well dressed every one there was, it was not, in fact, a Montessori school. They kept telling me that they didn’t have time to send photos or updates on my daughter. When we started introducing foods, we decided to go with the baby led weaning method. There cannot be a more “montessorian” way to introduce food to infants. I kept sending food to school and the food kept being sent back home looking untouched. I questioned the room guide several times and finally I set an appointment to talk to her in person. When I got there I was surprised by it being her and the director of the school. They had the gal to tell me that they would give my daughter the food I was sending, but if something happened to her it was on me because they were just too busy to watch her. To make it clear: they wanted me to send purées, instant oats and other processed baby food instead of the the home cooked meals prepared following the BLW guidelines. Even after that disastrous meeting, I still sent her to school one more day just to receive a video of the teacher banging on her table telling her to eat while she cried and then the teacher showing the other children eating and just my child crying in front of the food I had sent her. It broke my heart and blinded me in anger.I did not know where I would send her, but decided to remove her from school that same day. By coincidence I drove by Deerfield and decided to call. Jessica got me in the same day. When I told her my story she empathized with me, showed me around, assured me that BLW was not an issue and that my daughter would be welcomed there.Deerfield delivered on every single promise. My daughter has been at Deerfield for a couple of months now. She eats like a champ the food I send from home, and anything else you put in front of her lol. She is thriving. She loves her guides and her guides love her. She is all smiles in the morning and in the afternoon. And my husband and I are involved in her day to day. Different from that other place we get to drop her off and pick her up at the classroom door, we get to participate in school events with her, we get to see photos of what her days are like every day and we get reports on her progress daily. Her guides are open to discussion and to teach us how to continue the Montessori education at home. The director, Nikki, is the most proactive, present, and empathetic person I’ve encountered in this last year of navigating day care/school for the first time. Jessica is so helpful and so sweet. I simply cannot recommend Deerfield enough. For as fancy, high security, pretty the other place was, it has nothing on Deerfield’s competence, care, communication, commitment to the children and the parents.

We have been associated with guidepost Montessori at Deerfield for a little more than 3 years now. Our elder kid started at guidepost since he was 3 months old and he has been loving the daycare since he has started recognizing the place. There are weekends where he wants to goto "school" and the reason for this is because he gets so much love and care from the guides. All the guides that we have come across are super knowledgeable and always ready to help. Activity wise they offer kids a lot more exposure which helps in a kid's all round development. We had our 2nd born and he's been going to the guidepost at deerfield for over 6 months now and we are having the exact same experience. All I can say is if you are looking for a daycare do stop at guidepost and I'm sure you will love it!

Our son started with Guidepost Montessori in April of 2022. At first, there were a lot of changes with administration, and there seemed to be a lack of appreciation (stemming from leadership) for the guides. Despite this, we LOVED his guides and decided to hang in there.... and it was the best decision ever!!!Our Son's nido class was led by three of the best, most compassionate, loving women who treated our son like their own. I cannot say enough good things about Yennifer Berrueta, Greet Garczynski and Yinerssi Feliz. Putting your child in daycare is such a hard thing, but these women made it as painless as possible, and I am so grateful for the way they took care of our son. If you have to have your child in daycare, there is no better place than in their classroom!!The new head of school, Nikki Born, has just truly helped do a 180 there. They finally got it right with this hire. She's incredibly welcoming, cares a lot about the teachers and kids, always down to chat about your kid and how they are doing in daycare and just seems to have brought a lot of life back into Guidepost Montessori at Deerfield. Hoping they keep her around for the long term! Our son has now transitioned to Toddler, and he is with Isabel Rincon. We have gone from one classroom full of loving amazing women right into another. Isabel is wonderful and cares so deeply for our son. Changing a toddler's schedule is not easy, but she has done an amazing job with him and we are so excited for his time to come with her.We have several good day cares within a 5-10 min drive from our house, but we will gladly continue to make this 18 min drive every day if it means our son is surrounded by such incredible teachers and people.

We’ve been at the school since February 2023 and have been nothing short of satisfied with our son’s Nido experience. The guides have done tremendous work with him in such a short amount of time and we are looking forward to him joining the Spanish Immersion Toddler program in July.

I am a current parent with a child at Guidepost Deerfield. I am very sad to report that there have been countless changes in both the administration and teachers in the least 1 year. Multiple teachers have cited lack of appreciation for the reason of not staying more than six months. The new administrator has decided that it is appropriate to allow all the new grown men that have been hired to change little girls diapers… after we were told that men would not be doing changes. On another instance I observed my daughters arm stuck through a chainlink fence. I decided to time how long it would go unnoticed—three minutes passed before I called someone to help.

I highly recommend Guidepost at Deerfield. My son has attended this school now for 1.5 years, and I have been beyond pleased with the teachers and administration. They are very caring, attentive, and focus on development and independence. My son is in the Spanish immersion program and participates in the extracurricular soccer program. He enjoys going to school each day and talks about his teachers and friends at home. I have experienced many daycares through moving between CA, TX, GA with my oldest child. Communication and cleanliness stands out above most others. I am happy to have my son at Guidepost.

My husband and I absolutely love Guidepost Montessori! We toured at least a dozen daycares around Alpharetta back in 2019, when our son was 6 months old. The school is clean and organized and the staff is wonderful! Now over 2 years later, we are still here and now have baby girl who just starting going there! Both children love going and learn so much while they are there! I can't recommend this school enough!

This school is amazing! My daughter has been enrolled for a little over a year and we love it. It's something beautiful when you see your child loves to learn. The guides and faculty encourage and mold her enthusiasm beyond my expectation. I'm really happy we found them.

our daughter has been at Guidepost for 6 months and we love the school, teachers, staff and the head of school. Montessori is the way to go and specifically Guidepost in my opinion is the best in the area based on our search. Our daughter's vocabulary, independence, happiness, motor skills and active personality are attributes that this school has contributed to immensely.

My wife and I have looked at other Montessori schools within a 5 miles radius; this establishment is by far the CLEANEST around. Wonderful teaching staff who really care about our children! My child has been going here for years. Watching the Mental and Social growth has been truly astonishing. A solid choice for any parent(s) who seeks education, comprised with social development, while building independence.

I love this school. The teachers are fantastic and my kids are getting submerged in a new language and excelling in all subjects. I am so grateful for all the efforts of the staff because my children are excited to go to school every day! Shout out to Mrs. Elena who has been with both of my kids for years now and I have only seen them excel! I recommend the school to everyone that I know.

Guidepost is an extension of our home. Our children Agustin (3) and Virginia (2) are absolutely happy children every morning when they get ready to go to their school. That shows the love and attention that my children receive in Guidepost and it is the most important for me. But the most amazing thing is the great personality they are developing. They are independent, confident, eager for knowledge, and well educated children, who come home every day with fabulous stories to tell. The staff is very professional and friendly. Krysta, its director, is always willing to collaborate and keeps her office's door open. Ceci will always greet you with a smile and impressive energy. In addition, she will help and guide you when necessary. The guides of my children (Laura and Sarah - Children´s house; and Ana and Marissa - Toddler) are always very aware of the well-being of our children and give their best to respectfully allow them to discover the world, guiding them gently and affectionately. All this It is possible thanks to an outstanding facilities where everything is meticulously prepared and organized to stimulate children's desire for learning. In conclusion, Guidepost is the best Montessori school you can find in the area.
