The owner of this rescue was arrested and charged with 56 counts of felony abuse and neglect. DO NOT USE THIS RESCUE!!!!

Stay away from them the 2 long positive reviews sound like the owner wrote them. She is quite wordy. This is the situation as of yesterday...fox5atlanta.com/news/pol…

Stay away from them!!! No wonder they have such horrible reviews here, on google and everywhere else. I just found out that some or all of their animals have been seized and apparently their were 50 plus dogs, chickens and horses that were not being kept properly. I pray for the animals and hope they find a good home. I'm sure the volunteers must have been doing a good job and this review is not indicative of how they did their jobs but as has been my experience in the one time I applied for adoption, they either don't respond at all or tend to get extremely nasty in their response and god forbid if you leave them a negative review or try to reason with them. With numerous reviews where they criticize applicants for not meeting requirements, it seems strange that they were the ones hoarding and not taking care of animals. A friend from the neighborhood said that 1-2 days back cops and the Fulton County Animal Services showed up and stayed for hours. I believe Channel 2 has been covering the incident so should be on the news soon. My only hope is that the animals are okay and that this does not tarnish dog adoption in general because their are good adoption agencies out there that are doing a lot of good.

I recently adopted the sweetest boy from Georgia Poodle Rescue after reading his heartbreaking story. Georgia Poodle Rescue is run by a true animal lover and advocate. It was obvious during every step of the process that the owner puts the needs of her rescue animals first. She works tirelessly to care for them, train them, LOVE them, and find the right home for them. The extremely thorough vetting process shows how serious they are about making sure their dogs are properly placed. The application was extremely detailed and the meet and greet gives everyone the opportunity to ensure it’s a good fit. Thankfully, we all agreed that this sweet boy was meant to be part of our family for the rest of his precious life. Thank you to Debbie Blatchley and Georgia Poodle Rescue for rescuing him and bringing him into our life!

People bring their dogs to Georgia Poodle Rescue because they want the rescue to find homes who meet the policies. This rescue goes above and beyond other rescues and will not be bullied by people thinking they can bypass the policies. Any bad reviews is most likely from people who don't meet the policies and they retaliate. Now think about it.....do you really want those retaliating people around any dogs? Georgia Poodle Rescue does good work and receives many repeat adopters. These are live animals who deserve people who realize why they need to meet the policies. They deserve good people with good lives. Just go on the Facebook page and you will see all the wonderful reviews and comments.

So far very dissatisfied. My husband saw a dog that has been on the web site for a year and finally reached out to Poodle Rescue. Finally heard back but that was about the $20.00 to send and that was almost 3 weeks ago and still have not heard anything or that they received the money. All we wanted to do was go see the dog, see if he was a fit for us and then start the process to adopt the dog. Well, we have moved on, ate that $20.00 and looking at a Pyrenees that needs rescuing. This would not have been our first rescue dog and it won't be our last.

This place has lost all sense of reality. I spent 2 hours filling out an 11 page application and paid 20.00 on PayPal after sending application. I was told I could not "rescue"the 50lb dog I wanted because I had never owned a "large dog". Our dog that passed away was 30lbs. We live on 2 acres with a fence and my husband works out of the home. This is not a place that truly what's the best for a dog.

So after waiting and waiting, after two applications and three emails and one phone call I have not been contacted by Georgia Poodle Rescue about the dog I want to adopt. I am an at home, cage free, stress free dog groomer. I’ve been deeply involved in rescue for the last25 years. My vet was contacted and I know she had great things to say about me. I meet all the requirements of their rules. I even said I would cook their recipe to feed my dogs. I did receiv one answer to an email in which I was informed that I don’t qualify because I have a seven year old. I immediately corrected that and said no I don’t have a seven year old. Nothing. Leaving people in the dark is so disrespectful. I read a response from her saying,” if you don’t respect people you won’t respect dogs,” That works both ways. The last time I ran across a bad rescue that I was fostering for I shut them down. They will never get any more animals from any surrounding areas. I took the dogs, the paperwork and found homes for all but 4 unadoptables. So is this a 501c hoarder? Maybe the dept of ag, the HS and other organizations should look into this? I also know someone who told me when she was 55 she was told she was too old to adopt a dog. Is that it? At 66 I’m too old to adopt a senior poodle? Sad for those dogs waiting. Sad for the people who want them.

After submitting two application, numerous emails, and a voicemail the only response I received was telling me I didn't qualify because I have a seven year old. I immediately responded telling them no I do not have a seven year old. no response. I meet all their requirements. I want to adopt a senior toy poodle. I sent them an email explaining that I am a home based groomer. Cage free, stress free small dogs only dog groomer for 20 years. D so disrespectful to not let people know what's going on. If these doges actually exist or is she a 501c hoarder? time to find out.

They share many amazing poodles that deserve a home and as A dog lover like myself I really wanted to adopt one. Unfortunately, I submitted my application as well as updated my application when they asked for me to and sadly never heard back. I totally understand that emails get lost or businesses get busy, but I never received confirmation if I was accepted to meet the dog and or denied. Either way, I still wish nothing but the best for those pups and their new families!

I recently adopted a shih-poo from them and was impressed with how carefully they vet out their prospective adopters to ensure these precious rescue dogs go to a loving, forever, home. They also provided a lot of information about nutrition and other helpful tips. I love my new fur baby!

Just reading the requirements..... As a mom to 4 kids and also having a mini poodle that we rescued 3 years ago.... Y'all are excluding good, loving homes with some of the requirements. I have 2 kids under 10, we are excluded. My current rescue dog won't potty if I go out with him, so I let him out the door into a privacy fenced back yard. That would also exclude me. I actually found a couple of dogs that could be good fit, but y'all literally just denied them a loving forever home because of your ridiculousness. ✌?
