This past weekend, 12 women rolled up our sleeves and dove heart-first into a meaningful day of volunteer work at the inspiring Comfort Farms.
?? Founded by the incredible Jon Jackson, this sanctuary not only nurtures the land but also supports the healing of veterans through agricultural therapy.
It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and love for mother earth! Each of us came away with not just dirty boots, but also a deeper connection to our community and an even bigger commitment to supporting local heroes. ??
We're proud to carry forward Jon Jackson’s vision and to give back to a place that gives so much to those who have served our country. Here’s to more growth, both in the fields and within ourselves!

We bought boiled peanuts, brats, steak, and chorizo. Knowledgeable staff and friendly environment. Dress for a farm environment. Challenging for very young children or wheelchairs.

John Jackson is continuing to serve his county by helping his brothers and sisters readjust to civilian life, all the while helping preserve the foods of the past by bringing back heirloom breeds fruits and vegetables and making them available to the public via specialist restaurants and butchers. I've never met John in person, but we've had long discussions about agriculture small farms large farms farming in the desert things like drip irrigation and other innovations in the field. I support John and his family and his brothers and sisters that are involved with comfort farms in all their endeavors. For veterans this is a place to go even if you're not hurting, cuz we know you all know somebody that is. Support the cause 22 to none. I just wish some of his stuff was kosher so I could enjoy it.

We went for the Pumpkin Patch and it was a lot of fun! Everything was meticulously planned out and you could tell how much work they put into the event.
