We had to surrender a stray pregnant cat which was a difficult decision to begin with. The employees tried to guilt us into keeping the cat by saying they would euthanize the mother and kittens. (This was a few years ago) If you want people to make responsible decisions support them instead of making them feel bad about their decision. We have adopted a cat from the facility which went smoothly.

This rescue was wonderful to deal with. Allene screened me thoroughly to make sure I was a responsible owner and that her animals go to forever homes. They take such good care of their animals and I appreciate the love and care they gave my Fiona until she was adopted. Would highly recommend this rescue.

ARF is such a fantastic shelter that genuinely cares about their animals. I volunteer there often and watch some of these animals spend 6 months to a year there, every animal they take in is so sweet and loving. Definitely adopt from here if you can!

I’ve been volunteering with ARF for a couple of years now and have grown close to the President of the rescue. She and the rest of the volunteers/staff truly care about the animals and work really hard every day (while also working full time jobs) to give these animals the best possible chance! All of the animals are well taken care of while at the facility and immediately seen by a vet if anything is wrong. Being a small rescue in a small town, a lot of the animals spend 6 months to a year waiting for a home. Some of the animals wait even longer! But ARF takes care of those “less adoptable” animals until great homes are found.

The people at ARF are truly caring and compassionate. Bless each of you for all that you do and have done for these animals.

Great animal shelter with compassionate volunteers. They work hard to find homes for these cats and dogs while also taking good care of them and running solely on donations
