I was able to book an appointment with Eddene, and my experience was not good. I waited 45 minutes for my scheduled appointment. And the appointment itself took about 3.5 hours. (I only got a semi-permanent color and blowout) there was no consultation/input about my hair, and the salon was gross. Hair all over the floor. I came there looking for a luxe experience and it was definitely not that. This has taught me to not always believe what’s posted on social media. My experience was janky at best. That stylist was only worried about her $135.00 and cares nothing about the customer/client. And, to top it off the stylists in the salon look at you crazy when you come in instead of giving you a friendly greeting.

My experience was great! Semaj did a great job on my hair under the circumstances. Also, the owner Zee is very knowledgeable and she provides great guidance. Thank you Semaj for taking me on short notice!

This was my first visit here. The atmosphere was very soothing and inviting. The staff was very nice and pleasant. I had the best shampoo ever! The young lady had a great attitude. Zee was very informative, caring, also had a great personality. I will definitely be going back. Prayfully numerous of times. Great salon!

My experience with Gayla, which was my first there at ZMahogany was great. I was acknowledged when I entered and told to sign in. She was working with another client, but was always walking me through the what was happening and this made me feel that she cared about my time. Gayla cared for my hair as if it was her own and this is what I wanted. She let me know about the condition of my hair and how to best take care of it. Gayla was very friendly and I look forward to my future appointments with her.

I love getting my hair done here! So my my stylist name is semaj and I love being greeted by the employees, and a beautiful salon. She slays on the styles I've asked for but I really love the part when she shampoo. The feeling of my scalp when she rinses it out I just know she got every speck of dust and dandfruff .You won't be disappointed because they really care about you and your hair journey. I'm happy to say I've seen a couple inches of hair growth after following her advice from our consultation.

I had my first experience today with the salon and my stylist Semaj. I’ve been natural since 2018 and haven’t had any heat in my hair besides blow drying. I was very pleased with the salon very nice and professional I was definitely greeted as soon as I walked in. Great vibes my whole visit. My stylist Semaj did a wonderful job on my silk press. I called the day before inquiring about color and a silk press. The lady told me I could walk in and definitely get the silk press but needed a consult for color. Ok cool.I arrive the next day the lady that opened up was not pleasant at all. Told her about my call, showed her a color I liked and she asked was my hair relaxed I tell her yes. She replies oh you won’t be getting color here, you won’t be getting color here! I ask did they not color relaxed her. She reply unless you want it to fall out! My response is that’s why I’m asking.I’m coming to you as a hair care professional to advise me what is needed not keep replying with smart comments. I take care of my hair so if I can’t do color then that’s fine. She walk away and return and say your hair looks black. I reply yes I’ve used a rinse before. Again, oh you won’t be getting color here! You can wait for another stylist to come help she’s on the way.Ok that’s fine but the condescending and smart comments aren’t necessary. I proceed to sign in because by now 2 ladies have come in after me and signed in. She tells me I don’t need to sign in. I came to spend money not be talked down upon when I just want to receive the knowledge for my hair and get it done. I left. They were not about to get a dime of my hard earned money. I have a family of 5 ladies looking for a stylist since we are new to the area. This place is not it. She was rude and needs a class on customer service! No matter how well you do hair, learn how to talk to people.

Gayla is definitely my favorite! She’s always nice and greeting me at the door no matter how busy they are. She’s quick yet still able to give quality work and that’s something i truly admire about her not to mention she’s able to multi task. i love going to Gayla for my silk press cause she really takes the “silk” in silk press to another level!!! I had a graduation to attend. I came in for a feather silk press. I was not greeted, instead stared at and told to sign in. After waiting about 5 mins to be serviced , my stylist started to make MULTIPLE comments about my hair , it’s not like I’m bald or have horribly damaged hair ( I booked her services in hopes of having her be some my new hairstylist to better my hair journey)After my wash , I was then pressed I communicated I wanted a feathered cut due to how my hair isn’t thick all the way thru in the front … as we were half way done . She insisted I’d be fine with just straight hair . Which I did not like at all. I didn’t have a smile on my face which is important when your client leaves your chair . She had two other clients after me , who did NOT book an appointment. I’m sure their hair came out great, I feel for 110$ , my hair should NOT frizz up the NEXT day! I wasn’t able to take any pictures due to my hair. I feel horrible for my mother who paid as that money could have went elsewhere .Unless I am offered a fix , I am not interested in coming back unfortunately

So I came in for a silk press over the weekend. When I came in it was a really nice and clean environment. Nobody really greeted me when I came inside, but I signed in and waited until someone got w me. They were working so I didn’t want to interrupt either. But I came in 5 minutes early to my appointment to avoid any issues , It was like 9:10ish a girl asked me what I came in for I let her kno my reason. My appointment was 9am-10am I scheduled it in October, but nobody started on my hair til 10am. Jus the wash by 1 girl and she sat me under the dryer for like 15 maybe 20 minutes. Then a stylist came to me to sit in her chair to use the handheld one to finish that way, I don’t want to list her name but it felt like she was in a rush w me because she had 2 people ahead of me. It felt like she was being an rough with my hair too and It was addressed that it was making my head feel tinder. She finished at ab 10:45 but then she sat me to the side bc of the 2 people ahead of me getting the same style…. I was being patient the whole time bc I get it the stylist life but the wait time was jus crazy to me. She didn’t start pressing my hair til 11:20. I left alittle before 12 I also included that I wanted a trim in my comments when I booked. & she did say I needed one too. But I told her that I thought it was included in the silk press she told me it wasn’t. I understand I didn’t book the works which is the one that includes that but I didn’t kno it wasn’t for the silk press as well. I kno every business isn’t the same but I assumed that a trim would b included in a silk press service, regardless of me commenting wanting a trim. But I had commented in my booking that I wanted one so I thought it was going to be done too. She noticed at the end of my appointment when I was paying that I commented but it was already almost 12 so I just left it alone. I was satisfied w my overall results but not service that is why I rate it a 3.

Let me first start out saying my experience today was awesome. I have not had the greatest experience here in Georgia with salons since I’ve moved here. However, let me thank Gayla for such great customer service experience and hair that feels and look great/healthy. I booked the works and with every step Gayla explained what she was going to be doing. She was able to answer all my questions and concerns in addition to giving me advice of what I should do moving forward. The ladies worked together great and helped move the process along when there was a wait. I am a very picky person when it comes to my hair and who I let do it which is why it took me weeks to really look into this salon before booking but, I am already booking my next visit and it has only been a hour since I left.Service: Hairstyling
