First time getting my hair done here..only 1 stylist and more than 1 customer..and so it wasn't that bad..the thing that got me was I didn't know the price was going to be over $200..the lady took 1inch off my hair..I thought the haircut come with it..ha I wasn't expecting a $60 haircut..anyway I want be going to the salon anymore..it's box from now on..prices should be discussed before hand..what would have happened if I didn't have that much money?

I went to the store today for my hair appointment and it ended up being a horrible experience. I originally booked with a young lady who has done my hair before, but on Friday it updated to the name Paulette. I arrived at 11:42 for my 12pm appointment. After standing at the desk for six minutes(I looked at the time), Paulette(an older black lady with a very short cut) walked up from behind and said "what's your name". I told her my name and then she said "Okay come with me"- I sat down and then turned to her and said "Hello, are you Paulette?" she said "yes"- I said "Great. Nice to meet you, I was scheduled with Selena, but I guess she must be off today" She paused and said "oh yea" I then reviewed what I booked with her and asked her if she was comfortable cutting curly hair or if I needed to do a silk press instead. (I know a lot of older women are not used to cutting curly hair.)She said she cuts curly hair. She then begin to separate my hair as I selected my color. Then in the middle of reviewing and sectioning my hair,she goes BACK to the computer behind us to review the appointment I booked and said that I was suppose to select the signature curly cut. I told her that no curly cut option was available, which is why I added the curl and define service as well as the cut and all over color. I said that's no problem, and then asked her what the protein treatment was- she said it wouldn't be a protein treatment. I then pointed to the booklet that listed prices (that she provided) that stated it would be a protein treatment. But then right above was a regular curly cut with no protein treatment. So I asked did she mean I'd get that one? She kind of stuttered and said we can do the regular curly cut at the price of the signature and then asked what color I wanted again. She then left and went to the back. I waited for ten minutes, and then a manager came out to ask if I would be more comfortable coming back tomorrow when the original stylist I booked would be available. I was confused and extremely upset. I was so mad, I cried because I honestly wanted to curse her out. She explained that Paulette was not comfortable doing my hair because I used another stylist before and most likely because I have so much hair.Paulette then hid out in the back until I moved from the salon. I was treated horribly, like she was afraid of me. She was so uncomfortable talking to me that when I continued to shop in Ulta, she ran to the back again. She never acknowledged me. I don't have a problem with her being uncomfortable, I have long beautiful hair that I don't want an unskilled worker to ruin. The issue is that she couldn't effectively communicate and hid like a toddler. This lady should not be in this industry. If you see Paulette on any service, please cancel or request a new stylist. I was able to get my eyebrows done by a very nice lady (Kiara) who also recommended a perfume for me. She made me feel much better. I'm still an Ulta girl(for products)but I will tell everyone I know that Paulette is clearly unhinged. The manager (Nia I think), I do believe cared that I had a bad experience it was just really nothing she could do, but maybe recommend Paulette retire. Like now.

Went for a haircut and did not get what I asked for. Showed 3 pictures including one of myself. She just couldn't get the bangs right. She tried several times to get the cut right but after the 3rd time i just accepted it was not going ro work and i was in faar of too short bangs. For the price I expected more. I did enjoy the scalp treatment and she was super friendly. To be honest they were all really nice.
ALso side note. While getting my hair done costumers kept approaching the stylist with questions to find products. I find that rude on the consumers end. Hair stylist need to focus on clients in the chair. This one lady kept approaching to the point the lady had to stop what she was doing to walk her to the products she was asking for. I just feel it's not fair for the client and the stylist while working on hair.

This rating is for Cash, the wonderful lady who helped me. Cash was the only person working cosmetics but she helped me and another customer simultaneously, with a smile. She gave me excellent recommendations on products that would help hydrate my sensitive skin. Thank you Cash ?.

If I could rate this location a zero I would! The manager constantly follows shoppers around even if you have no bag or purse and is using THEIR shopping carts! Once the manger tried to sneakily peek in my cart. Im not sure if they judge off of appearance and decide who to follow and watch but roughly to say the manager is the same color as me. I’ve worked in the area since January and I enjoy my time in Ulta when I’m off, however I’m tempted to stop shopping at this location. Also don’t take too long deciding on what to buy because the employees will attempt to watch you over the shelves and the manger will circle constantly. It took for me to look her dead in the eyes to go away because I am no longer playing this game.

Yesterday, my best friend and I visited Ulta Beauty with the intention of purchasing skincare products. However, we were disappointed by the lack of customer service we received from both the floor associate, who was dressed in a gray outfit and had blonde hair, and the cashier associate, who was wearing a black outfit or jacket and had a ponytail. Due to the insufficient knowledge, service, and assistance provided by these associates, we decided to go to Sephora instead, where we were treated with exceptional customer service. Not only did we make several purchases, but we also gained valuable knowledge about products and skincare treatments from the knowledgeable staff. It is regrettable that we had to seek an alternative store when we had initially intended to make our purchases at Ulta Beauty.

I give this location a one star when I first walked in I was never greeted the staff members acted like they didn’t want to assist me the lady from Clinique was the only helpful person other than that none of the staff members that was on the floor acknowledge me at all…. I will never return to this location ever again !

So disheartening that I had to ask for each and every fragrance from a locked display. I wasn’t even able to test them on my skin. Heck I didn’t even spray them myself. The employee sprayed them on the card for me to smell. I won’t be back to this location again.
