Story on the Square is a fantastic independent bookstore on the McDonough square. It is a beautiful, very cute little place, well kept and organized, with plenty of book choices and unique toys, gifts, and games. Inside, the Rough Draft bar offers a great selection of beer and wine, with a surprisingly extensive and diverse list, as well as coffee. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and awesome, creating a welcoming, "Cheers"-like atmosphere. It is a great place to sit and relax with a drink, featuring several places to sit. They host different events throughout the month, including book clubs, story times for kids, and beer tastings. It is the absolute favorite place for many, a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon or a lovely evening, and highly recommended for the local community.
This is my teenager's new favorite place to spend time. A lot of things to find. And he was happy to know that they could order books for him. And they called him as SOON AS it came in! Great service!

Very cute little bookstore. Everything was well kept and organized. The staff all seemed very friendly and there were several places to sit and relax, including a small bar. They have several book clubs and it definitely seems like a great place to spend a Saturday afternoon with a small group.

This is a fantastic book store and a great place to sit and drink a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. I wish something like this existed closer to me. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and everyone wants to welcome you into this great space.
