Poor customer service. Appointment day and time was rescheduled 2x at the last minute without any apology or consideration of my time. The rep made a very condescending comment to me on the phone. Very unprofessional and not stellar service. After years of being a patient, I will take my coins elsewhere. Treat people right or you will loose business. I don’t think they are owned by the same company any longer either.

If I could give this place (Mcdonough location) a zero star for complete lack of professionalism and empathy, I would. My daughter had a 4pm appointment today for an eye exam. I checked her out of school at 3pm and fought traffic from Locust Grove to Mcdonough to make sure she arrived on time. We walked in at almost 4 on the dot only to be told that her appointment had been given away and she could not be seen that day. They said they tried to call to confirm the appointment and because it wasn't confirmed it was given a way. I asked how it could have happened. Turns out they called a number that doesn't even belong to me to confirm. Again, a number that doesn't even belong to me. Then when I told them I needed a school excuse for her checking out early they were reluctant to give it to me and they were reluctant to reschedule her appointment as well. I honestly expected more from this location as I transferred here because I did not like my daughter's old Optometrist. Now it looks as I will be switching doctors again. This is completely unacceptable.

I went to this location yesterday 12/1/22 after finding them on google. The staff was super amazing and very accommodating with it being a same day walk in appointment. I don’t not want to ruin the doctor that seen me name but she was awesome and very friendly. I only did a eye exam but I would recommend them just based on customer service, great place.

I Brought my boys here for an eye exam. Both of my boys were checked in at the same time but they were called back about an hour and 15 minutes apart. I will not return. Beautiful building tho.

I own a pair of glasses that are not made anymore, and I love them! After I got my new prescription, the lab that puts in the new lenses accidentally broke part of the frames. Initially, I was told I would get a significant discount on a new set of frames, but I didn't want a new set of fames: I wanted my old ones! Well, they tracked down the manufacturer of my frames (yes, they had been discontinued), and the manufacturer was able to provide the part needed replace the broken part and let me continue to use the frames I love. In fact, they improved the frames, because the new part (the bridge) holds the silicon nose pads firmly, whereas with my old frames, the nose pads would sometimes come out, which was a significant (if only occasional) problem. Plus, they replaced a broken nose pad on the spare pair I had been using while waiting for my main pair. I love the people at McDonough Family Eye Care (now part of My Eye Doctor)!

I ordered glasses in early August. They told me that it would be 4-6 weeks. So, after 8 weeks still no glasses. I called them and they said that they didn't have my glasses because the lab discontinued the frames I wanted. So instead of contacting me by email, phone or snail mail. They did nothing. They charged my insurance $1000 and me $440. They have yet to return my money or offer any resolution. I'm probably going to have to take them to court to get my money back.I highly recommend that you avoid this place at all costs. DO NOT GO HERE!

Unfortunately I did not get a chance to have a visit due to the very rude conversation and approach that was given to me by a very rude young lady. While I was attempting to schedule an appointment while standing outside. a gentleman came out and was very friendly and helpful. I was very optimistic and looking forward to the visit. However the scenario changed very quickly when a young lady who worked there became involved she was very rude and nasty with no customer service or professionalism at all. I decided that I would care not to schedule an appointment if that would be the treatment that my daughter would receive. Maybe they should consider doing some more training on customer service because I would not recommend anyone here if they have to be treated rudely.

At first glance, McDonough Family Eye Care seems ok beyond being limited on their eyeglass selection. I found they had issues in communication. I spoke to the same rep over the phone a week before my appointment as who received me at the door. I had no Covid-19 front door instructions during my call and after providing all my personal information including my desire for a particular kind of frame, they wasted my drive all the way to their office just to have to repeat my information a second time, and even worse, they didn't carry my desired frame in the first place. Get it together guys!

I'm really impressed by this place. First time in for an eye exam, didn't have to fill out any paperwork, they had all my info already prepared before I ever got there. Didn't really have to wait, they got me in and out super fast. No eye dilation required for the exam, they have some new tech in there that images your retinas and it was covered by my insurance. They're extremely efficient, I actually enjoyed the experience. The person that handled ordering my contacts was able to find me a price match online and got me a good deal plus they give out a free pair of sunglasses when you order. Also, they were very careful about sanitizing everything and following COVID protocol.

My experience isn’t the same. (And No it’s not due to COVID-19, that every company likes to blame poor service on) . I’ve notice the last couple of years, that great customer service experience has declined. Three stars because the doctors are very friendly but front desk assistants and especially the associates that helps with your orders are not the same at all! Either pushy or a really don’t care personality.

Dr Martin, Cassandra and Frederick were awesome! An excellent exam! I’ve had a difficult time with my vision since failed Lasik surgery. Dr Martin’s experience, Cassandra’s patience and Frederick’s kindness together make an impressive team. I’m so grateful to now have a solution after many years of frustration. Thank you!

All of the staff was extremely nice and professional! Katherine helped my husband and I pick out glasses and went over everything with us, no matter how many questions we asked. She was super nice and patient! 10/10 recommend this place!

I experienced the same as Jeffrey Dodd regarding my vision and still having issues, only an additional $400 later and I am unable to see out of the glasses that I paid for and the contacts are still giving my problems. I am scheduled to see an eye specialist and hopefully they can resolve it. This is crazy as my vision is very important. If this is not your field of expertise why play with people's vision, this is very important my eyes. I am struggling everyday to see better after a year I was like wait a minute, why can I see out of these glasses and was told as well my vision had changed. This is the worst. Are they licensed Optometrist or Opthamologist or just looking through a machine and that's it to test someone's eyes. I am writing corporate because I paid for glasses I am not able to wear at all since I got them back. This is the worst place ever! Mrs. Ruby is very nice lady, but she is not the doctor. I am very disappointed and hope its not too late to correct considering my right eye is already my weakest and now I am having issues with the left one very blurry even with the glasses and contact.
