AAMCO TRANSMISSION delivers great service to my family. The environment is people friendly. The service is detailed with excellent quality. If you need costly service for your transmission, etc, reasonable resources are available to make your problems less costly. You will be highly pleased.Ms. Hall

I arrived on 9-25-23 with my transmission slipping badly, and was told that they could not locate a unit to just swap it our (36,000 warranty) but they could rebuild my unit for just under $6400 but I would only receive a 12,000 mile warranty. Since I needed my van for work I agreed to move forward. A month later to the day 10-25-23 I returned with the transmission making a vibration. They tried to tell me it was not the trans but I disagreed and they proceeded to dump some no slip fluid in my trans and it did seem to help for a while. Now I drive a lot so the miles add up quick but at this point I was well under my 12K warranty. Just under a month later I was in Michigan helping a friend move to SC and the van started acting up and I decided to take it to another Aamco shop to have them take a look. They dropped the pan and found metal flakes in the fluid and told me I need yet another transmission installed. I called down to the GA shop and since the shop I was at did not do rebuilds they wanted me to take it to another Aamco location that was over an hour and a half drive away. I called that shop and was told that it would be a week to ten days before they could even look at it since Thanksgiving was the following week and I really did'nt think the van would make it that far. At this point I asked the shop I was at how long it would take for them to find and install a new unit. They told me a few days and sure enough they were able to locate a unit, remember they GA shop said they could not get one, not only did they get it done in a few days they installed a brand new unit and gave me a 100K mile warranty for less money than I was charged the first time. I was hundreds of miles away from home and the GA shop expected me to pay for a hotel and rental car for over a week plus the additional time for the other shop to repair. I proceeded to dispute the charge on my Visa card and the response from the GA shop on the first claim was they would not issue a credit. The first claim was for my deposit, the second one was for the balance I gave at the time I picked my van up. On the second claim the GA shop said if I brought back my transmission they would issue a credit so which is it? They are well aware that they have no right to my old transmission since I had to leave it with the shop that installed my new unit. They also have failed to mention when replying to the bank investigation telling them that I was out of warranty. I WAS NOT I HAD IT TO THEM ON 10-25-23, and have a google maps timeline to prove it! All they did was make so they could get me off their back and get me out of warranty. The bank put one of the charges back on my card last week however they have reopened the case when I gave them new information about how many horrible reviews and explained that they have no right to a transmission that they rebuilt poorly. Stay tuned I will let you know how the drama ends but unless you want to go through the crap that I have I would suggest looking for anyone but these people to handle your repair needs.

I brought a running car for unknown drive train issues and was told they fixed the misfires by replacing the coils and rusted spark plugs and the ride would be a little "rough" from needing new motor mounts but when I drove my car home I almost didn't make it. Now I have a non running car that sounds like a chugging go-kart that sometimes can't go over 15 mph! I already had a rude interaction after I was told a time line from another employee and it was not met and now I have an undrivable car. Beyond livid I wasted my time, The shocks were rusted so that did need to be fixed but it had nothing to do with the drive train and somehow made everything worse. I'm out over $600 and have to find a new LEGITIMATE shop to pay for another diagnostic fee to see what the REAL issue is and fix it. Bottom Line, Just avoid this place. I learned my lesson not paying attention to bad reviews.

Took my ML350 in for transmission service. I was quoted $135 for a diag. fee and was fine with that. After speaking with the tech and explaining the repair I had already attempted, he was willing to look into the problem further. A few days later the tech tells me they don't see anything wrong and did NOT charge me the diagnostic fee. Turns out the repair I did actually fixed the issue but the TCM code needed to be cleared. This is an honest company! And that's hard to find.

I had car trouble last week and took my car to the wonderful mechanics at AAMCO. My problem wasn’t serious as I thought. I only needed a new battery. They didn’t charge me a thing and also put my new battery in at no cost. Chirsty was a pleasure and provided excellent customer service. I recommend AAMo in McDonough for all you car needs.

I have used Aron since he was running the Aamco in Newnan and now I have brought my car from Newnan to McDonough because he is the only person I trust to get the job done right. The McDonough location is family owned and operated and they are phenomenal honest individuals. They will give you the shirts off their back and bend over backwards to make things right for you! I will continue to make the drive from Newnan to McDonough Aamco for as long as they are there and if they move locations I will follow! Thank you for always taking care of me and my family!

I have been using Aamco in McDonough since Shane and Aron took over business. One of my cars in 2014 busted a coolant hose on the way to work and I was able to limp it in and have them swap it same day and I was able to drive the car home that night. A few years later, I blew a head gasket in my truck. I called Aron and they came and picked me up off the side of I-75 in their rollback. They fixed the truck for me several times from head gaskets, a complete motor swap, and then transmission issues. They were fair and affordable with all of my issues and worked with me during economical hardships. My whole family takes their vehicle issues to Aamco in McDonough because Shane, Aron, and all the staff are good, honest, hardworking people. I like supporting American owned, local businesses and I believe that Aamco in McDonough is just that. I fully support this business and what they have done for me and my family.

WARNING!!!… BEWARE OF HIGH RATINGS ON THIS BUSINESS. IT IS ALL A LIE! PEOPLE CAN PAY FOR HIGH REVIEWS ON THEIR BUSINESS. THIS WAS ON THE NEWS ABOUT THIS TYPE OF DOING. If I could give less than 1 star I would. But just to express how I feel about this company 1 is the lowest you can go on the star scale. I took my vehicle to AAMCO at 796 Hampton Rd in McDonough on 9/26/23 to repair the rear main seal. There ratings was 3.5 so I thought that was decent. I fail to read through the reviews, otherwise I would have Never came here. I called for pricing & was initially told $1800 & it would take 3 days but they called me in 2 days for pickup on 9/28. The price suddenly turned into $1854 because I was using a cc instead of paying cash. Never pay cash for large repairs, you will not have much recourse. I went to get my car but no one could find the keys. They realized that my keys was locked inside my car so they grabbed a slim Jim to put through my window without asking me. I stopped them & asked for someone to take me to get my extra key at home. Okay later the next month, a friend & I was in the garage & they noticed oil leaking under my car & said I thought you got this repaired. This is when I noticed that they never fixed my car. I called them to complain & the owner’s son tells me to bring it in & if it’s something else they will let me know what the price will be. I told him it should not be anything because it is the exact same issue they supposed to have repaired. At that particular time I had started a new job assignment & could not take off until 3 weeks but after hearing him say what he said, I was apprehensive because I felt like they were going to make it be something else. I did not feel comfortable taking my car back there. I ended up going to another shop just to get a 2nd opinion. I did not let them know I had anything done because I wanted them to assessed based on their expertise. They told me the rear main seal needed replaced. BINGO! I then told them I took it to a shop for repair. I asked them if it looked like it had been taken off or if the part looked new, they said it doesn’t look like anything has been done to it. I am having to add oil to my car every few days to make sure the engine doesn’t blow up. These people are so crooked & they could care less about the position they have put me in. Then to add injury to insult, they placed unauthorized charges on my cc. They changed the price to $1918.89. I disputed with my bank & they did a temporary credit but ended up taking it off based on info they sent to the investigators. Upon receiving the information they sent. I discovered they changed the amount on the receipt & forged my signature to make it look like they are not unauthorized charges. This goes to show you just how far this company is willing to go to defraud you out of your money. They want me to bring my car back to them for repairs but I don’t trust them anymore. They had my car for 2 days just basically sitting there. And took money from me & forged my signature! I will never take my car back there. There is more but I will stop here. I just wanted to warn you…DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE! YOU WILL HAVE MUCH REGRET.

This place is absolutely HORRIBLE! PLEASE RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN FROM HERE! They will keep your vehicle for 2+ days and when you get it back absolutely nothing will be done to it. All they do is waste your time & charge you for it. I went in for a rear main seal that was quoted over the phone to me $1800. 2 days later upon picking up my car I'm told $1854 because I'm using a card. Later I find my card charged for $1918.89. They went a step further as to forge my name on a reproduced receipt to make it look like I approved additional charges. Not only that they didn't repair my car & refuse to refund my money. They want me to trust them again to bring my car back so they can really fix it now after less than a month of going there for the first time. NO WAY! The trust is completely broken. I now have to continue every few days to add oil to my car so my engine can stay in tact. These people didn't care whatsoever about the position they put me in. If a friend didn't see the oil running out my car in the garage after they supposedly had repaired it I wouldn't have known sooner than I did. This could have brought great harm to me & my vehicle. I took it in for a 2nd opinion somewhere without telling them that AAMCO said they fixed the problem, how about they tell me the same repair need to be done. I asked if it looked like something was replaced or repaired, they said no. AAMCO HAVE SOME TREACHEROUS PEOPLE HERE. PLEASE DON'T TAKE YOUR CAR TO AAMCO AT 796 HWY 20/81 MCDONOUGH, GA. YOU WILL BE SORRY! I will continue to warn people of this place. I'm working on getting my money back because I will never go back there again. So much for trying to patronize your neighborhood businesses. All I wanted was my car repaired, that's it! Even the customer service rep is rude! You never get a 2nd chance to make a first impression.

Absolutely phenomenal place. My first time was back in October and needed a transmission. They were on top of it and did a great job in a timely manner. Just took it in this week for two other issues and they fixed it right on time for me so I can see my family for Xmas in Virginia. Thank you for taking great care of me.
