Very disappointed. My bourbon club and I have been going to Whitlock Package for years due to the good selection and we all live in the neighborhood. They keep the allocated stuff behind the register and they had a bottle of Stagg Jr. this past Sunday for $70 and told the cashier, "I'll take it" thinking this was my lucky day. The cashier then pulled out a laundry list of crappy liquor that I don't need and told me that I needed to buy $170 of that stuff to be able to buy the Stagg Jr. ($240 total). When I politely asked why they play these games (and he recognized me as a regular), his response with a smirk was, "You gotta play the allocated game, man!" You gotta be kidding me! My club and I are frequent customers, but no more. That was the last straw because they've been doing this bait and switch junk taking advantage of the bourbon craze to unload their unpopular liquor. Go to Big A Bottle Shop on the South Loop instead. Great selection and the owner actually appreciates the business. He does not mark up his allocated bourbon when he's lucky enough to get some. Rather, he celebrates his customers and appreciates their love for bourbon. He also knows his stuff, gives knowledgeable recommendations and often has great store picks. FYI, I scored a bottle of Stagg Jr. at Big A Bottle Shop last year for $65. No questions asked. No additional purchase necessary. In short, they do it the right and ethical way. Big A is located at 957 South Marietta Pkwy SE, Marietta, GA 30060, by the way. Giving Whitlock Package 2 stars because they really do have a great selection at decent prices. However, know what you're getting into and prepare to spend a bunch of extra money when you see something you've been hunting for.

Kind of a hole in the wall place and wouldn't go there looking for wine. But great selection of whiskey and beer and friendly staff who are willing to help.
