let me start by saying this is my first, and will be only every time in store with this company. Will not be back. I was made to feel very uncomfortable from the very beginning. I am an independent shopper who does not need assistance. The pushy Sales pitch makes me feel unwelcome and extremely uncomfortable, if you see me independently shopping and not asking questions please leave me alone unless I ask for help. As if that wasn't bad enough for me, I get to the register with my one purchase, and it automatically assumed and the pressured to give up my own personal phone number. Upon saying NO which I had to do four times for the lady to stop trying to force this. I was able to check out. This is one of the worst experiences I've ever had.

This is my second experience with the Ulta salons (I went to the one in Kennesaw previously) and honestly just go elsewhere. They're run extremely poorly, the stylists are either stretched way too thin or they just don't care bc they're not getting paid enough. I went to one of the most well reviewed stylists in this review section for a standard haircut. The manager informed me that she had an appointment for a longer service at the same time with a processing time during which I could have my haircut. Cool, no problem, I can understand and I just needed a trim, nothing crazy.
I get there and wait 1hr to even be seen by the stylist who then rushes to wash my hair, and leaves me with a conditioning treatment for 45 mins (that she said was included in my haircut), and when I told her I needed to leave in an hour, she was annoyed and said her manager should've told me that I'd be in between another appointment. I understand it's difficult to work with two people at once, especially when one is working with a potentially time-sensitive process, but I ended up being there for 3 hours for a haircut? Just tell me you can't do it and reschedule me.
My other experience with the one in Kennesaw, I got a keratin treatment with no aftercare instructions or advice on what products to use, and it ended up frying my ends which is why I needed this cut in the first place.
Just Google up an actual salon.

Some items were scare in sections, reps on floor helpful. However, experience went left when a my turn to pay for items was met by a unfriendly call from cashier name Buchana store #1226. When you're a customer you don't expect your turn in line to be announced by a unfriendly greeting. Why be a cashier, work on floor away from encounters with customer? Definitely will not be returning to this location.

Hello I went to Ulta today at 550 o'clock after a whole busy day. I went in just to get some quick items, and I actually left with a terrible story, I was not helped throughout the floor while there were two ladies talking in the back. I went to the registers and I was originally behind one other women so I was the second one in line to be there I make a note of that because it does matter. there was also a pregnant woman in this line and she went the opposite side of me, and I understand that the columns of the registers can be confusing which does need to be fixed!
So I was in line and in second place, but due to the confusion of the lines, the pregnant women went before me, which I didn’t mind and I wasn’t gonna say anything because I imagine that she had a busy day as well. So Reagan was at the register, after willow came to assist with the first woman(unscabble item)
Willow came to assist her because something wasn’t scanning. So I decided to continue to stand there and wait as she attended this pregnant woman, but after the pregnant woman had purchased her order. she went to the next white women that was in line. I also want to state that behind me, and next to were two African-American woman which we were attended to last. But we were there before the two white woman.
And to add onto it Willow finished with the woman in front of me with the unscanable item, she completely closed the register, when there were three women in line. STILL BUSY. Reagan was also by herself so I don’t understand why willow didn’t assist. I also heard where Reagan asked her if she was busy thru the ear-WalkieTalkie. it was clearly a busy time and because that unscannable item did take up a couple minutes- it was busier. Is this really how you guys treat your members? Is this really the staff that you hire? If it is, you have just lost a customer and hopefully the other ones that see this. I’ll be telling everyone I know too.
This behavior I’ve never experienced prior, with previous staff members. This Ulta is like a revolving door with aterrible turn over rate! The two women’s names were Willow and Reagan and I would like to hear an update soon, I also invite management to look thru the camera footage, around 540-6. I’ll be giving you guys a call tomorrow to speak to Cindy, the GM.
*there is another review of a racist experience, 2 weeks prior. Disgusting!

I can not say enough good things about this Ulta. I came here 2 weeks before my wedding ceremony to buy makeup and set up a hair appointment as the girl who was going to do my hair and makeup no longer could. Melanie informed me that no stylists were available the day of my ceremony, but she went above and beyond to help me out. I left happy with my purchase and a hair appointment.
I came back for my appointment and when Melanie was almost done with my hair, the friend I asked to do my makeup got to the venue, and had forgotten the makeup I purchased (we had done a trial run and she took it with her) at home, 45 min away and the ceremony was supposed to start in an hour.
Melanie again went above and beyond by asking her manager, Courtney, to see what they could do for me. Courtney and Leslie P tagged teamed and did my makeup while Melanie finished my hair. They worked quickly, but did not lack in quality! I am super happy with how my look turned out and brought my vision to life. These fantastic ladies saved my day!!!
My makeup and hair lasted all day without any smearing, and my my tiara stayed in place all night!!
