I have been in partnership with Sheltering Grace for 12 years most of which was a volunteer. I am blessed to be able to join the team and serve as the Program Manager. The success of our program is a result of it remaining a Christ Centered Program. We extend the love and grace of Christ to mothers in crisis. Many of these mothers have established their own personal relationships with Jesus. They have moved on to head their households , start businesses, complete certificate and / or degree programs and purchase homes.

Don't rely on reviews from outsiders and males. This is a shelter for FEMALES. The residents are poorly treated and mishandled. It is a shame the amount of hurt, pain and stress I have witnessed them put every female through - to the point where a few opted to leave and risk being homeless. Do not donate to this facility. Find someplace else to go.

Sheltering Grace is such a tremendous organization. The staff is wonderful and it was truly a pleasure meeting and talking with Dr. Bell. You can tell he really cares about making a difference in these women's lives. I wish this organization nothing but the best as they continue to do God's work

Ruined my life..I had a job and a car before I came to SGM and I lost everything. I was 4 mos pregnant when I got there but I was living in my car.In order to stay at the facility I had to get rid of both my job and car with the promise that I would be provided with everything Id need plus the tools for a better life for my unborn child and I...BOY was I wrong...The conditions of the shelter were like that of prison..You were not allowed to leave EVER...Some staff members took us to the movies once and the cook told Dr.Bell and he was pissed..Speaking of the cook she was the nastiest woman I had ever met.. She didn't practice food safety. They had to FORCE her to wear gloves. She would eat while she cooked and once split her lip and spit the blood right in the kitchen sink...just a nasty nasty woman who complained about everything and was filled with negativity... She even told other staff members not to be nice to us because we didn't deserve compassion...There were other things that were severe red flags but the WORSE thing that happened was after FOUR MONTHS of opening this place ALL THE WOMEN were kicked out because Dr.Bell said he could no longer afford to house us. He told us this in May 2017 and said that by August he would have the place up and running again and we will be ok... WELL it is now November and I've called and called and left message after message and no one will answer not return my calls and if you show up to the office no one is ever there...Dr.Bell doesn't give one care about he lives he has ruined or the babies he put in danger with his false promises... He should be persecuted for his actions.Sheltering DISgrace is more like it...Thank God I was able to give birth to a beautiful and healthy baby girl in June and we are ok but still homeless. I am looking for work now. One day I will overcome this MAJOR setback.

This Was the worst place ever. I would not recommend this place to no one, I was mistreated and taken advantage of while in this place. The staff are rude and unprofessional, tell your business to other staff and the women in the program. The cook food is horrible and she does not wear clothes nor wash her hands. Dr Bell helps who he wants to help and mistreats and will put u out for no reason. This place needs to be shut down and also not to mention I almost lost mybaby while staying here
