Pep Boys diagnosed my auto as requiring front brake repair immediately & rear brakes needing repair soon. I took my auto to another repair shop for a second opinion and they advised that there was nothing wrong with the front brakes however the rear brakes had a broken bolt in one of the calipers that caused damage to the rotor. The rear brakes had been repaired only 3 years ago by Pep Boys. I have been a customer for many years but will NEVER take my car to them again. Not only does it appear that they are dishonest in diagnosing issues but they caused damage to my vehicle from the last repair that they performed.

I walked in on last Saturday their was two staff there one was on the phone the other was on his cell phone neither worker greeted me nor said give us a sec they just let me stand there like I wasn't standing there a 3rd worker older guy walks out look at me and he never said anything They showed me that they my business with them didn't matter It was very disrespectful not to acknowledge me I would give give a zero star if I could I dont recommend this pep boys either they have a problem with servicing a woman or African american people just terrible customer service To just act as if I wasn't standing there.

I've used the Pep Boys in Whitlock Ave for several years and have had good service. That is no longer the case, the last two times I've tried to have my tires rotated the wait has been over two days. I was told they only have techs working to try and service this shop. looks as though Pep Boys corporate is not willing to fix an issue. Never again to take my car to any Pep Boy.

I contemplated whether to write a review, or just turn a deaf ear of how I was treated by one individual. After given a weekend to reflect, I think it is best to be frank about my recent experience at a local Pep Boys (Marietta - Whitlock location). For years my family has had vehicle repair and maintenance performed at this location. Unfortunately, it's time to take our business elsewhere.On Saturday September 13th I arrived 10-minutes late for a 9:00AM appointment. At the time of my arrival the supervisor (I assume, or maybe the owner) was on the phone. At 09:15AM he ended his call and asked how he could help me. I apologized and told him I was late for my 09:00AM appointment. He stared at me and asked if I planned to keep my vehicle there for the day, as though I was putting him out. I told him that I was not able to keep my vehicle there. I was hoping he could take my vehicle in for a quick tire rotation, since there were no other vehicles in their bays at the time. With a sense of superiority he responded, “your appointment was at 09:00AM. It is now 09:15 AM. We’ve moved on”. I was taken aback. To say he was impudent would be an understatement. I told him I totally understood and apologized for being late. I turned a blind eye, assuming he was having a bad morning. While extending him some grace, I rescheduled the work for Friday January 19th. In turn I received (and have saved) an email calendar and text confirmation / reminder. On January 19th I arrived approximately15-minutes early. The same supervisor (or maybe the owner) asked if he could help me. I told him that I was early for a 10:00AM appointment. He said, “are you Mr. XXXXXXXX”? I told him I was not. He said, “then I do not have you scheduled”. I tried to show him the appointment confirmation on my phone, but instead of confirming it he stared straight at me, while turning his computer screen for me to read. He condescendingly said, “Do you see your name here”? I said "no", and his response was, "then you are not on the schedule". I kick myself for giving grace. Lessons learned.GOOD LUCK! Pep Boys, you have a serious issue at your Whitlock store. You may want to investigate my experience, or not. It’s your reputation, not mine. Check your cameras and interview the other 2 employees that witnessed this guy’s actions. I am not a firm believer that customers are always right, but in this case, you decide. It's not a matter of right -or-wrong, it's a matter of integrity, customer service, pride, and business ethic.My family will be taking our business elsewhere. Sincere regards.

Made an appointment for my wife to get a wheel alignment on her car. The staff made her feel like garbage for being 15 minutes late. Left without any services completed. We’ll take our business to someone who actually wants it.

No good. Paid for a oil change. Got home and checked the oil. It was still dirty black. Took it to the place I usually take it and they said the oil was dirty and the filter was the one they put on from the last change. So I know the filter had not been changed. Contacted pep boys and they said the oil was changed but they forgot to change the filter. (Right) Had my free tire rotation done and upon leaving my check tire light was still on. I had my place check all the tires to take care of that All in all. Very poor service! Also would like to add. I asked them to replace the cabin air filter. I was told it would not be justified to change it and charge me because it was in such good shape. I then brought the car home and went through the process to do it myself and the old filter was solid black and full of leaves I suspect they never looked at it. I understand if you really don’t want to mess with a particular job. But DONT lie to the customer!!

I took in my wife's 2005 Lexus ES 330 for a routine oil change for her birthday. Workorder# 2092079 This shop was already busy with their scheduled appointments, but they were able to still service the vehicle for same day convenience according to cashier # 463350. I was given an estimate of 2- 2 1/2 hours for the car to be ready. An hour after dropping off the car, I was called by the same cashier to alert me that both the engine and cabin air filters needed to be replaced. He provided me with a quote for the extra work and I agreed to the service. The car, however, was not ready to be picked up at the designated time and I didn't hold that against the shop since they were busy. I had already agreed to pick up the vehicle after hours and that's what I did. Here is the reason for why I am giving this shop only 1 star. When I left the vehicle to be serviced, there were three $20 bills in the glove box that my wife had placed there in case of emergencies. After the Lexus was serviced, we discovered that the bills were missing. We looked for the money elsewhere, but neither my wife nor I remember moving the cash around after the vehicle was picked back up from this shop. I phoned the shop and asked if it was possible for the loose cash to have fallen behind the dashboard or the glove box. The person taking my call put me on hold. The technician who worked on the car came on the phone and told me that it was possible that it could have happened as I was suggesting but that no cash was seen in the glove compartment prior to the service. He also named a few items from memory that were in the glove box, which my wife and I confirmed as he was speaking. Today, though, I took the car back to this location to see if the money had indeed fallen behind the boards. No cash was found by the technician. Thus, I am left with the sad fact that this business had taken an extra $60 of untraceable money from our glove box. I don't come to this conclusion solely because money is missing after a service, however. While at the shop today, I was very aware of who had worked on the vehicle and who was responsible for entering in all of the charges. One of those people was at the cashier's desk and he couldn't make or maintain eye contact with the customer that was looking for cash that was lost while their vehicle was in the service bay. I'm also acutely aware that service shops have policies that don't protect property inside of the vehicle and that there is nothing that I can do about this outside of writing this review. The cash is gone after this service and I believe I gave this business enough benefit of the doubt (and opportunity to make this right). Their reputation after the service provided isn't worth more than $60 to my wife and I and we will not be returning to this shop.

Friendly and quick service. I stopped in with a temporary spare on my car due to unexpected flat tire. The young man in charge was so helpful in replacing my two front tires and getting me on my way very promptly.

I really can't say enough good things about this location and the people who work here. I was from out of town and broke down in Marietta over the summer. Pep Boys took such good care of me. They diagnosed the issue immediately (even though it was Sunday and they were extremely busy) and recommended a nearby muffler shop to make the repair.If this wasn't enough, Tyler called me as I was driving back to New Jersey to make sure everything had been taken care of. Who does that??! I'm beyond grateful for the way I was treated.There are so many auto shops in and around Atlanta, but I can't recommend this Pep Boys location enough. I am a lifelong fan.

Had a weird problem, they stuck with it to get it fixed, didn't try to gouge me, and even paid for my Lyft ride home while they fixed it. Very friendly, great service. I'll be back.

Carlissa was so nice and pleasant. Very helpful with an issue another tire shop could not figure out. Also got an oil change on our other vehicle while we were there. Very attentive and very helpful. Thanks Carlissa!
