I always have a wonderful experience at Ivette’s Dominican Salon! The staff was incredibly skilled and attentive,. The salon's ambiance is relaxing, clean and organized making my visits even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this salon for anyone looking for great hair services superb blow out, deep condition etc. in a lovely environment!

African American sisters- Be aware- Went in to get color touch up $100. Six days later I noticed the color was gone in spots. Called the salon owner, she asked me to come in, I did. She reviewed it and said new growth, WRONG answer. She also told me I would have to pay for a shampoo to get the color redone. WRONG answer again, bad business. Color should last longer than 6 days. They also get upset when you tell them the blow dryer is too hot, can’t use rat tail combs on African American hair. Our hair is too thick for the rat tail.
We work hard for our money & we want healthy hair. Don’t take us for granted.

I would absolutely never recommend any black woman goes to this salon. For starters, they do not know how to do black hair or care to learn. My hair is down my back right at my hips, they constantly tried to comb my hair with a skinny rat tail comb so expect some breakage and pain. Secondly, do not think that you can skip going under the dryer for an hour and a half.. they will be highly uncomfortable and offended due to them obviously not knowing how to handle black hair and being lazy. So you sit under the dryer for an hour and some change then guess what? They take another 40 minutes to blow dry your hair on the hottest setting then guess what next? You guessed it, they flat iron your hair and do at least 6/7 passes on one piece of hair. It is absolutely way too much heat on the hair, when you speak up about it they swear it’s healthy and makes the process “faster” … it’s laziness. Whole process takes 4/5 hours to leave even if you have an appointment. I personally will never be returning, find somewhere else it’s not worth it.

When they ask you if you want to sit under the dryer or get a head massage with your deep conditioning. Choose sitting under the dryer. The head massage felt like a regular conditioner.

When I lived in ATL I went to Gina and the customer service and professionalism was impeccable. The salon is a walk in salon which makes it even better. The hombre color she did made me look and feel amazing! Thanks Gina!

So I came here to get a normal wash and set in deep conditioner. I have mix curly natural hair. Long story short they put perm or some type of perm solution in their products because my hair has the smell and now my hair texture has changed as if I had a relaxer my curls don’t even look the same. I tried to wash it out many times but Nothing ?
