Guidepost Montessori at Marietta has been a grounding force in our family for over two years. My two children began at Guidepost in the Nido (infant) and Toddler classrooms. My family is making the transition to homeschool (we will be using the Guidepost curriculum!) and my kids recently said their farewells to this sweet community as they left their Children's House classrooms. It speaks volumes that my son (a momma's boy through and through) told me that on his last day he felt sad and wondered when he could visit his guides. My professional background is in child development and working with children/families who have experienced separation or other forms of trauma. As such, I have a borderline obsession with attachment theory and a personal passion for supporting emotional regulation in children. Having worked closely with DFCS/child welfare systems both domestically and internationally, I am also the "worst case scenario" mom. My first question for any organized group (sports team, school, etc) that will be interacting with my children is usually "What is your policy on sexual abuse? How often is it reviewed with your staff?"All that say - I'm a tough sell when it comes to childcare. But somehow Guidepost had me sold pretty early on. When touring the school, the guide who my children first interacted with (Ms. Enid) greeted them both before she greeted me, spoke to them at eye level (crouched down), and explained a few things about the classroom in a simple, easy to understand way. My children immediately felt safe, evidenced by the fact that they began to interact with the materials in the class while I spoke with the guide and asked to stay longer when it was time to go.Even when I've had questions or moments of pause throughout the last two years, my "concerns" have been addressed with the utmost transparency, urgency, and clear communication. There's not much else I could ask for.My family has adored this place and my children have absolutely thrived. My four year old is reading and finishes 300 piece jigsaw puzzles in his free time. My three year old is as independent and helpful as ever - sets the table for dinner, grabs a broom and sweeps when a room in the house is dirty, and can independently play for hours on end. Some of that is their natural tendencies, sure, but I credit much of their confidence and love of learning to their time at Guidepost.

We are so grateful to this school for how much they put children first. They really bring out the best in my child while also meeting him were he is and letting him be himself. I have confidence every day when I drop my child off in their care. The teaching and leadership staff are consistent and get to know your child. It's a truly caring community.Update November 2023: we are still very happy with this school and so excited that our youngest will be starting with them soon.

I am extremely impressed with Guidepost Montessori Marietta. My daughter has been attending this school, and the experience has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers, especially Ms. Kelsey, have been dedicated and nurturing, creating a wonderful learning environment for the children.Charlie, our Head of School, is the driving force behind our school's unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation. Her visionary leadership has transformed our educational community, setting new standards for academic and personal growth. Under her guidance, our school has become a place where children thrive, parents have unwavering trust, and teachers find inspiration in her dedication to providing the best possible education. The school's Montessori approach, coupled with the use of great materials, has allowed my daughter to flourish academically, socially, and emotionally. I've seen her develop a genuine love for learning and become more independent and confident. The environment is always clean and beautiful, providing a delightful setting for the children's growth and exploration. The facilities are well-maintained, and safety is a top priority, which puts my mind at ease. The communication between the school and parents is open and transparent.I can't express enough how grateful I am to have found Guidepost Montessori Marietta. It's more than a school; it's a supportive and caring community that truly values each child's growth and development. I highly recommend this school to any parent looking for an enriching and nurturing educational experience for their child.

My children have attended Guidepost Marietta since they were 2yrs old and I couldn’t be happier with how they have developed both socially and academically. They are now 4yrs old and come home with new ideas and information daily. They enjoy going to school and love their teachers even more.

Guidepost Marietta is an extension of our family. Our son has been attending since it opened 2 years ago, starting in the Nido (infant) classroom at 6months before transitioning to the Toddler classroom where he is now at 2.5. From the moment we toured Guidepost and met the head the head of school, Ms. Charlie, we were sold at the welcoming and warm vibes of her and all of the staff. My husband especially notes that he appreciates the aesthetics of the classrooms, which feel more calming compared to most color-splashed overwhelming daycare classrooms. The school provides many awesome extracurricular activities for the kids (my son especially loves soccer and Kidokinetics) and several events for family and friends as well (holiday festivals, movie nights, aunt & uncle day, etc). I’m very connected with the leadership staff as well as my son’s classroom guides who do a wonderful job of keeping parents updated on our child’s progress and day-to-day happenings. I love the community that myself and some of the other classroom moms have developed and can’t wait until our baby #2 (still baking) can attend one day.

Had a very bad experience when the staff described the deposit as refundable repeatedly in conversation and emails, then two days after submitting it, when we withdrew our application, explained to us that it would not be refunded. To be fair the fine print does explain this, but we trusted them and didn't read it. I feel referencing the very large deposit as refundable repeatedly, when it isn't, and then refusing to refund it two days later is predatory. There is no justification for charging almost $2000 for two days of reserving a spot. Purely a money grab. So those are the kind of people operating this place. We decided not to go to this school because we found ones right nearby with better student teacher ratios, better philosophies, at much lower rates. I suggest you look elsewhere, and do so before putting down a deposit.
