Standing on a golf course at Canterbury Golf Club in Marietta, Jim Anderson purchased a small business that evolved into one of Georgia's oldest and largest pawnshops. Jim, a Marietta native who was a real estate agent prior to owning pawn shop, bought County Line Pawnshop from a friend and former business partner in 1986.“He wouldn’t take care of customers the way I wanted to take care of them,” he said,” He would take advantage of customers and I couldn't cope with that,” Jim emphasized customer service and said he always expected his employees to respect their customers.
