The owner of this shop is very egotistical and does not know his pricing. It’s fine when you’re not interested in purchasing something, but telling a COMPLETELY wrong price on something and making you feel bad for even owning it… Preaches about how long they’ve been in the business and then says your product is worth nothing when it’s actually worth over $100.

Let me preface this by saying I am a real estate agent - and I have a pretty good understanding of how negotiations work. I would give a 0 star review for this shop if I could. Owner is egotistical and rude. The shop is extremely disorganized/dirty and I wouldn't be surprised if carpet beetles have ate half of his inventory. The owner will continually try to negatively affirm / USE FEAR TACTICS to tell you you the cards aren't worth as much as they actually are. He probably told me 30 times the cards had bad centering - like yeah dude they're old cards cut by hand - isn't it YOUR JOB to know some cards could be poorly cut? The owner irritated other customers trying to sell - all while delaying our selling order - likely to try to get us to sell lower out of impatience. Clearly doesn't know the market value for cards - or is willfully ignorant. We took our cards to On Deck Sports Cards instead and they treated us with respect and paid us what we knew the cards were worth all along. Totally worth the extra gas money! Blue Gray shop is clearly disorganized and I could only imagine what their finances look like. The only way I could see a shop like this making profit is by scamming sellers for absurdly low card values. Their profits certainly not in diligence or accurate record keeping. Avoid this place if you value your time and money!

I was super excited when I saw a local baseball card shop in the area when I first moved to Marietta. It's rare you see them nowadays. However, I hadn't really collected cards for a number of years so I didn't have much of a reason to stop in and visit. A little while back I stopped in to check it out, and the owner is super friendly and nice to talk to. I learned he used to live near where I grew up so we spoke for a little while about living in the north. Overall I wasn't in the market to buy or sell any cards, but it was nice to walk in, get to know the owner, and get that special feeling one has when they walk into a baseball card shop. Hopefully I'll have a reason to return.
