My doctor ordered an MRI of my lumbar spine. If I had done my imaging through Wellstar my copay would have been $700 dollars. I chose American Health Imaging and didn’t have to pay a penny of a copay and my insurance company paid the rest.

Staff and technician was very personable and professional. Be aware, however, the building is a little difficult to find as it is behind another building and GPS wasn’t very helpful.

Ok, so the techs the first I went were so rude, wouldn't tell me anything and my leg kept moving so they had to redo the entire scan after they had to rework me in due to insurance crap where they wanted me to pay out of pocket!!! It took them 4 months to figure this out And 3 appointments cancelled on the day of bc they would not check the insurance the day before so each time I had to drive over there only to find out they had to cancel my appointment. Finally they got one scan okayed and the most important one for my accident was delayed 6 months bc of them not wanting to wait till I got my settlement and do a lien. This complicated my case and bc I was getting care the entire time my back didn't look nearly as bad as the time I had the accident. Complete waste of time. Finally after I had the images completed after 6 appointments for the low back, it showed nothing bc they didn't have my previous mris. Just so ridiculous. The radiologists missed the most important parts of my MRIs and I had to go and take my MRIs to the other place to have them reread. And the other place only charged 50$ to read them. And would have charged only 250$ for the entire MRI scan. I suggest going to the other place I went to on Jimmy Carter Blvd. U can't miss them bc they are "SPECIALISTS" LOL.

I had a wonderful experience from the moment I checked in. The receptionist, Jessica, was warn and welcoming. Then the tech conducting the scan and bloodwork was kind and friendly. Everything was smooth and easy.

Excellent service and experience. My technologist, Heather, made sure I was comfortable. She put on my favorite music, gave me a blanket, earplugs and a wash cloth to cover my eyes (I'm claustrophobic and it helps!) Procedure was about 20 minutes.
