I’m all about supporting small businesses but this one — seriously save your time and your money. Bloated prices / above and Beyond the cost of convenience.. Their prices are marked up by 90%- not kidding. Even compared to the Ace down the street. But the real horror is the customer service. Save your time and go anywhere but here.

Bad customer service. Bought something online. And it said I can return to any Ace Hardware, drove out if my way to stop by here. These guys said nope, can't make the return. Sometimes it's just better to shop at the big stores like Home Depot or Lowes I guess. So much for helping out the smaller shops... I was about to make a couple of big purchases in store too...

Great location, great customer service!I was in there looking for a leather cleaner, worked with an associate (Josh) who was above and beyond very helpful! Was able to find everything I needed as well as he gave good customer support and information on the grills they carry as we are interested in getting one. Highly recommend this location!

Lack of service, lack of communication, no refund on products being left with them to be fixed- no sense of urgency here. Left products (2 chain saws) here in good faith that they would get them working. Again, No refund of $199.00 given on a diagnostic check on 2 power tools left here for 2 months. Parts are on order but Never produced order on parts and never produced working chain saw. Find another local to do business with.10/1/23 in response to your follow up remark- with all due respect I was charged $199-under the impression from you that it would be put towards having the dinosaur chainsaws fixed. You can’t fix them so I am out $199. As far as followup calls, store visits etc with you several phone calls were made, one I spoke with the technician himself-that’s how I know the parts for one had to be ordered-I made many phones calls after that - either, I never received a phone call back or got word from him again that the parts were on order but no proof to me that they were. If you couldn’t fix a dinosaur chainsaw to begin with- be up front. On 9/28/23, I Waited around your store for 20+ mins, (had been told technician was putting it back together)-after waiting to take them with me I gave up, I ask you to call when they were ready- I made a call TO YOU at 4:00 and was told they’re not ready bc your technician got busy helping other customers and they’re not together yet-so here we are again- lack of communication on YOUR part and no chain saws for me to pick up. Have yet to receive a call from you saying they’ve been out back together for me to pick up- it’s been 3 days - so again where does ‘non communication’ land- the balls in your court… thanks.

I love this store and equally enjoy the staff. Having needed 2 separate repairs on equipment, they solved one right at the counter in 15 minutes (no charge) and taught me how to address the issue in the future.My second repair was turned around in 2 days with a nominal charge - I was kept fully informed along the way.Sure, they're going to be a little more expensive than big box, but it's a small business with a wonderful team. I encourage you to get to know them and enjoy browsing our neighborhood hardware store. Outside of hardware, the unique gifts and other products are super interesting.

Since they’re independently owned, Ace can refuse returns for stock they don’t carry, very inconvenient - especially when it’s an item all other Ace’s carry. Poorly run “franchise” if you even want to call it that. Home Depot and Lowe’s from now on; better selection, just as close, cheaper prices, and most importantly better return policies.

I HAVE STUCK A LOVE AFFAIR WITH (ALL) ACE HARDWARE STORES BUT I MUST ADMIT THIS SHALLOWFORD & JOHNSON FERRY LOCATION IS MY ABSOLUTE BEST. YOU ALL ARE SO PERSONABLE & FRIENDLY BUT VERY PROFESSIONAL & HELPFUL. THANK YOU*****IMPORTANT*****I AM LEAVING A PICTURE OF AN ANT KILLER SOLD AT OTHER ACES THAT YOUR BRANCH MUST PROVIDE???? THIS PRODUCT "LITERALLY" KILLS "EVERY STUBBORN" CRAWLING, SLINKING, & SOME FLYING CRITTERS NOT BELONGING IN OUR HOUSES or yards!!!!!
