Large well stocked store with friendly and helpful employees. Found everything I needed (and then some)! Large deli selection. Clean and well stocked. This store has gas pumps. Save $.10 a gallon with your Ingles points!

Worst grocery store and grocery store chain I have ever been to. The produce is terrible, the food in the deli makes me sick looking at it. Every Ingles across the state should be shutdown for poor quality. I would recommend the owner and managers go up north to a Hy-Vee or Festival, or swing by a local Publix and get schooled on how worthless your stores are. I would be embarrassed to say I worked at one. Madison, please welcome a new grocery store, beg and plead for someone else to open one in town, we need you to be better than this.

Without any hesitation I can say this grocery store has the worst customer service of any grocery store in all Georgia , from the customer service manger to the store manager they need either to be retrained to really understand what customer service means !! or not work with people at all .

A small town with a chain grocery store. They do have some organic and specialty items, but most of the products are basic and fit the needs of the community. Do not come here to find good produce or something unique. Meat section has some meat cutters on staff. If they are there when you shop they will cut a roast into steaks for you. All the chicken comes to them frozen, and prepackaged. Never enough checkers and the self service area is small. Do not attempt to do a cart full through there. The shelves are stocked sometimes. They do not have night stockers, so the day people try to stock while the store is open, often causing backups in the aisles. They do have a Starbucks in house and a deli. Typical southern fried foods, with a small array of prepared salads. With Covid the salad bar has been shut down. It did have a fresh feel to it. You can get wipes to clean your cart, but there is no other Covid precautions in the store.

the pharmacist was rude and seems like she hates her job/ life... tried to take my prescription that I had already paid for because I asked her to explain the issue and lose the attitude.

The store is fine. But their extremely relaxed enforcement of the mask policy is abysmal. Last time I checked there was a global pandemic going on. Yes they have a sign when you walk in, but this means nothing if you don't enforce it. I was truly shocked by how many people were NOT wearing masks yesterday or just not wearing them properly. If you can't commit to the rules, why even be open? You're putting the people who do listen at risk. Really really disappointed and would not return because of this, which is sad because I like this store otherwise.

Ingles generally has a great store, products, and service. Whomever is managing the Ingles IN Madison, GA is hurting Ingles brand. I have been going to Ingles for year in Atlanta and we love it. However, the Ingles in Madison, GA #444 is retains old bakery goods and meats - we have purchased more goods from this Ingles that when we got to open and attempt to eat it - it was spoiled and outdated. Today, we went to the Deli to get a Boars Head italian sub - first the employee told us if we wanted Boars Head we had to go get it cut in a different area of the deli; then even though it isn't Boars Head they wrap all their sandwiches with Boars Head paper. Worst part, the role was so dry it crumbled and the edges were to hard to even bite. Horribly run store and if Publix or Kroger wanted to pick up Madison and shut Ingles down - it would have to try very hard. Worst customer experience in a grocery store ever.

I have lived in LA, Seattle and also in smaller cities Savannah and NC. I think that the Ingles is clean and well stocked. I would like to see more organic produce and well sourced meats but overall I cannot complain.

Lived n Madison for 11 yrs. Forced to shop @ Ingles or Walmart unless l choose to drive 21 miles to Publix. Repeatedly I have politely voiced my concerns re nasty floors...front doors that do not operate correctly. Outside entrance is unkept w nasty trash containers overflowing. But the most concerns is the ongoing chronic refrigerated products that are not rotated- updated and out of date items REMAIN on shelves for weeks after expiration has occurred. Who purchases old milk-yogurts-eggs, sour cream etc. Now l simply place all outdated items away from products as many shoppers don't look for DATES. It's welcoming to see new floors, new products and STARBUCKS and patrons will appreciate all these bells and whistles. However, if management cannot incorporate a stocking system to provide safe and current products; these cosmetic improvements are meaningless. Again- product rotation has been an ongoing health hazard. Last week- l pulled 7 containers of Outdated Creamer dated 12/31. I continue to shop but l look at dates on everything n the store.

Leaving 5 to balance some of the negative reviews. They carry a lot of Bob's red mill products and other natural/organic stuff that I wouldn't expect to find at a small town store like this. It's a welcome surprise and I look forward to seeing them expand these categories even more in the near future. I make a point to save a lot of my shopping for this place, even though I live closer to Watkinsville and Athens, because it's NOT WALMART. After witnessing WM run many grocery stores out of several towns until they are the last one standing and then jacking up the prices because there is no other choice, I'm more than happy to support local business and end the monopolies we've all come to know and hate. You want them to have even better selection and fresher produce? Try encouraging other people to shop there, yeah?

Look, it's a grocery store. It is extremely clean and well stocked with many varieties of things. Large produce section with an olive bar which is quite nice. The deli is great and serves some of the best breakfast in town. Seriously, stop by in the morning and get some cheese eggs, cheese grits, soft bacon, and a biscuit. It might surprise you to find it is less than running to a fast food place and get will get a much heartier meal with a lot more food. They also have one of the largest Monster Energy displays around. If you go to up too late for breakfast, but need a pick me up, check the energy drinks here.

This INGLES GAS EXPRESS is a nice, clean, well-stocked location for fueling up quickly while traveling on the road. Clean restrooms in the store, too, if you need them.
