My contractor and subs have used them in the restoration of my historic home over the last 2.5 years. They have been incredibly helpful and have a wide range of products and knowledge. Thank you Marshall Lumber!Update - We have been out on our own now for the last 5 years and Mr. Buddy and Mr. Robert have been just as great now as they were then. Whether it is doors, molding, lumber, etc. they either have it or can get it. Add in super fast delivery and competitive prices, there is absolutely no reason no go anywhere else.

Last week I ask for recommendations for a non big box store to go to for a new door. One of my former neighbors in NC, whose husband is a builder, suggested I go to a lumber company. So...I went to Marshall Lumber here in Macon, and they were so helpful, and wonderful in helping this poor unknowledgeable woman on such things. The owner, Buddy, even had one of his guys come out to see exactly what I needed. I could have bought a new door, but all I needed was the framing (which is what I thought) around the custom glass. The two frames lock together (exterior & interior). Lowes had told me on four different occasions that they couldn't order just the frame. To be honest, the people working there, looked like "deer in headlights" when I discussed with them. They also told me that my door was a Lowe's custom door. Well, while looking in several catalogs at Marshall's, I saw "MY" door, which is called "Elan", same door, same demensions (I had original paperwork from when we bought from Lowe's). Another great thing Marshall's did, they even called their painter, and he will paint the new framing, my door, and side lights, for me. They asked him, without me having to say "who will I get to paint it?" Long story short, if you have any needs that Marshall's Lumber can help you with, I certainly hope you will give them a call. They have gone above and beyond for me!! Thanks so much Buddy & Robert!!

Just so y'all know - it was right at this spot by Marshall's where Duane Allman hit a truck on his motorcycle and died in 1971 right at Bartley street before you get to Marshall's. Just need to put some historic content on this block.

Buddy Marshall and company are a Macon institution. Good old fashioned courteous service and quality products. Anderson windows and someone to 'actually help you load your truck!' That's unheard of nowadays!

Great selection, open to the public, frnt desk guy waa very cordial. I was a bit disappointed that i couldnt get help as quickly as I liked. Unfortunately, I don't think they cut lumber, but I am not certain. I wanted 5/8" plywood strips for an attic with a small fold out stair entrance. They had 4 x8 sheets, but I would gladly pay extra to have these cut for specific applications.
