workers were extremely uncomfortable while standing I asked why they couldn’t sit down and they said they weren’t allowed to who tells a grown person they can’t sit down one worker kept complaining about her knee hurting and not being able to sit down due to no chairs

FitCo is a fantastic gym for anyone in the area especially if you reside around the south Macon or Byron area. It's open 24 hours a day clean, safe, and the staff is very friendly.FitCo also has personal training classes each month such as Zumba and other classes for those interested. FitCo maintains updated equipment. I would recommend bringing your own water there isn't any free water on the gym floor.

Ditto on Hartley Bridge is a great gym with everything you need to exercise and stay in shape. It is very clean and the staff is very friendly. Riley is a fairly new addition and always greets you with a smile.

I've been going here for 5 months now. There was recently a new addition by the name of Riley. Her customer service is to be applauded as well as rewarded.

I've been a member here four years now, it's been well kept until the recent change of hands.- the gym has zero cell service prior to the new owners we was able to use the wifi not anymore.- repairs have been non existant. One of the leg machines was down a month or two just to have a pad replace or recovered. I recently noticed another leg machine needs the same piece it was wrapped with a shoulder pad that really did nothing, then someone slid the old pad back on that flops around. One of the main things I use is the sauna. It's been down nearly two months or more "waiting on parts" is what I was told.- cleanliness men's locker room has Cobb webs in the ceiling, bathrooms aren't clean. Paper towels are never on the tables by the cable machines to wipe equipment down with. I've notice to there isn't many or any towels at all anymore to wipe the equipment down with either. Sometimes they just need to folded the girls at the desk just sit there and kick it. The younger guy had to fold some one day just so there would be some.-The other old crew did a great job staying on top of things and keeping the gym straight and picked up. the people there now don't seem to care much at all. I've been a member here four years and usually work out a min of 4 days a week. I've went to other gyms and came back due to friends I've made there it's always felt like family most have left to go somewhere else. I really hope things get back to how it was.

Ending a month to month contract should not be as hard as they make it...because they ensure youre still going to pay another month regardless. I would advise everyone to stay far away

Update: Unfortunately, the old owners left. Those owners took care of the customers and employees. In turn we took care of them. The newest owners took their place and its starting to look like it's going downhill due to that. The newest owners cut many of the old employees. In my opinion that was a mistake as the old employees cared about the gym and actually took care of everybody. I'm not saying the new employees dont care about the gym. In fact, the new employees want it to work, but the way the old employees were done honestly left a sour patch in my mouth. That alone is not the only reason I changed my review from a 5 star to a 1 star review. It just seems like a number of things have changed for the worse. I would go into detail buuuut, I got better things to do atm, like find a new gym. Instead, heres a list:- Gym stays a little dirtier, old staff cleaned sacrilegiously.- Atmosphere of the gym changed.- Swapped from the cleaning chemicals they were using to a chemical that just smells like vinegar.- paying for a membership that had two tanning beds, they recently got rid of one. Then, I was told that our membership could go up on a different day before that tanning bed was sold, even though no new equipment was brought in. This information was given to us while the district manager was sitting right there. This second detail tells me everything I need to know about the current predicament.There's probably some other stuff I'm not thinking of atm, but that's just of the top of my head.
