Actually was trying to find the listing for another store and saw this one listed. This used to be ONE notorious place around town and I'm not sure it's improved much with age. Anytime that a whole store is surrounded by a metal cage that can prevent bottles or rocks, not to mention people from breaking in, you know something's up. But, it was said that their prices were rock bottom! I assume you just had to get back out to your car... safely... unwounded... avoiding fire... alive... That was then when rules applied to who went where and to what stores and all that silly stuff really mattered to people. We've come a long way since then. We're talking maybe 10 years ago, or maybe last month or possibly last week. Not so long ago, it was common to drive past this store day or night and see upwards of 50 or more men just standing around in the empty lot next door drinking. I wonder where they got their booze? I assume the city cleaned all that up, eventually, through the years, or maybe since it's been so rainy lately, everyone's just staying home. Who knows? I do remember a woman telling me some man asked her out on a date and the suggested location was this lot. She turned him down or so she said. I never was really sure on that gal. Buy her a bag of pork rind skins that would last her ten minutes and she was putty in your hands. You were also likely out the price of a fifty-pound bag of skins, had thrown your back out toting them out out to her and would soon need to replace the shocks on the passenger side of the car. There was a maintenance man at the business I worked at that walked past this store to and from work everyday. I have no reason to doubt what he told next. He said he noticed some guy laying on the ground and assumed was dead-drunk, passed out sleeping. He was partly right. It was the second day he walked passed when he realized that the guy on the ground wasn't sleeping.
