Turned my hair (a root touch up) an orangey color and my hair is breaking off. I’ve called Mel (the owner) several times with no response. She is definitely not a colorist. She knew my mom had just passed away and took advantage of the fact that I just wasn’t myself. She kept telling me “just come in, I got you”! Just remember Karma

I booked with Maggie stylez because of her work on her IG page , I thought she did a great job. But I booked an appointment on a Wednesday and she canceled on me asking if I can come the next day , which my husband switched work days so I can go, this was for my birthday hair. So I got to my appointment and she wasn't even there , I got there at 4pm my appointment time and sat there for 40 mins , I was about to leave but then the shops assistant said they can start me....? So she washed my hair extra heavy handed and aggressive, it wasn't relaxing it was painful and then she blow dried my hair and started braiding me up for my sew-in. I was confused because I booked with Maggie and not the assistant. And I had no communication with Maggie about this happening, I asked the assistant where Maggie was and she said she was just going to put in my hair. By this point I was almost done with the braids so I let it go, but then the assistant left to go help someone else's client ! So I was getting irritated, I told her I have postpartum balding on my hairline so be careful and she still was rough and heavy handed. I tried remaining nice , Maggie eventually got there and I learned she wasn't there because she took a nap at home ! And the day before she canceled me but only had 2 clients that day! By her talking to her co-workers. When she put the sew-in she was rough handed herself and I told her it was tight and hurt , she responded with "oh it's tight" and kept on doing what she was doing. No consideration of her clients or maybe the ones not paying what she wants idk. But I'm not going back to her , she didn't apply a protective net or scalp oil. The back of my hair at the bottom has bumps and redness from Being tight, you can see my skin lifted from how tight it is ... not going back to her period lol DONT DO IT ! And I drove almost an hour for this treatment ! Not worth it. Shes not friendly or welcoming at all. SCAM!!!! Buyer Beware- Stylist Teiaira Taylor (MaggieStylez) is a scam artist she no called no showed for our appointment. She never called back after we left several messages. No where to be found please do yourself a favor an never do business with her or her salon! She will take your money and run. You have been warned.

First off, I wasnt even going to do a review on @maggiestylez I was just going to take my L in silence but after burning my self 5+ times trying to wand curl my hair at 1am I got pissed off. I would advise you to really take this review into consideration if you haven't already booked with her and are thinking about it or just chalk up the lil 20 dollar deposit. I made my appointment for 12 May , 7pm around 30 April for my bday Photoshoot & trip to vegas on 13 May & Paid my deposit on the site. I was just coming from Germany and I don't know about the ATL area like that but I had seen her instagram years and thought about her for the particular look I Was trying to do, her work looks fire. I was supposed to drop my wig off as her site said but I didn't have the address a phone number or nothing (should've took that into consideration before booking) but I assumed since she's active on IG getting in contact with her wouldn't be a problem. The site also says your appointment will be canceled if you don't bring it in a head of time. 3 days before my appointment I messaged her on IG, commented on her post, and tagged her in a post. No response. I would have just cancelled but my card was on file from the deposit & I couldn't get a hold of her. So Then I googled her IG name & found her address & #. Reached out to her explaining the situation & she was dry & unresponsive even then, so when she didn't reply with address I waited til next morning, now we are day of and my appointment is at 7pm, & I text her the address I found and ask her to confirm. At this point I'm like whatever I can deal with the attitude I need my hair done for this shoot, because who am I gone find on such short notice, then I'll just be on my way. She then calls me at 335pm asking if I could "come any earlier" but since she was already dry and unresponsive I was just wanted to get my hair done as soon as possible and be done. I arrive to the address. She could've explained about how the entrance to her building. With a building like that Most stylists know their customers have issues finding the actual entrance, but maybe she don't talk to her customers just her friends while doing they hair.. you have to walk around (3min or so) the actual building to get To the salon & somebody has to Let you in. She let me in around 5, took my wig and didn't get start until after 6, she didn't have a braid my hair which she expressed excitement about so she could leave early for the day. She only asked me about the part but I figure she the professional and know how lay a wig so I Don't need to tell her where the wig should go. She laid the wig right to left vs middle and sides instead of middle to sides but ok whatever. She didn't even use alcohol to clean the space before applying the glue but cool. She then starts to do the wand curl after blow drying hair and says that the hair won't curl and it's bad hair So after a while I'm like ok then we won't do it, When I look in mirror it looks as if my eddy monster is sticking out my hair line, she said it wasn't and my eddy monster was behind the wig, she said she don't put wigs on foreheads because it will look crazy then she said she don't put wigs on the hair line. So where does the wig go? It's behind my eddy monster LOL, the eddy monster is out, after convo she asked if I just wanted her to take it off, but she wouldn't be able to reapply it because she has to get her son from school (7pm). This was for my birthday shoot. She didn't charge me for the waves she said she couldn't do but now for the main reason I'm doing to this review, I got home and used my own wand curlers and it curled so that's what pissed me off because she was so ready to get out of there she said she couldn't do what probably would've added another 40 min to the appointment... She is heavy-handed, inconsiderate, not friendly or welcoming. Who

Run! Run! Run! If I can give Maggie Stylez zero stars I would! I scheduled my daughter appointment 3 weeks ago. Maggie Stylez sent a text on the day of asking to reschedule. I told her I could not because this is for my daughter graduation pictures. Maggie Stylez NEVER replied back nor refunded my deposit! MY daughter was in tears! I was so hurt for my child. She's ghetto, unprofessional and disrespectful! Go to somebody else she will disappoint you at the last minute! There are too many hair stylist in Atlanta! RUN! RUN! RUN!

My daughter had an appointment at 10:30 am, paid the deposit and hoped for a pleasant experience ,she was so excited about a photo shoot she had for 6:30 pm in her new dress and her homecoming dance at 8:00 pm. The owner told her she had a hangover and needed to leave. It was heartbreaking watching my daughter hold herself together knowing she missed all the fun she looked forward to. Another stylist Jaden finished up my daughter hair last night I thank her for that. Nice salon but very poor experience.

Maggiestylez at this location is very unprofessional. I had an appointment scheduled for Monday at 1:30 and she texted me asking to reschedule. I rescheduled to Tuesday at 3 and she then texted me that morning saying the power was out and she needed me to reschedule Wednesday. I explained to her I couldn't and could I come at a later time. She told me I could come at 5 and when I arrived at 4:45 the salon door was locked so I called her twice and texted her with me response. Very unprofessional and disappointing.

Maggiestylez is a beautician in this shop and she is completely unprofessional. I made an appointment for the day before a wedding and she cancelled a hour before my appointment and rescheduled for the next morning at 10:00. I arrived 20 minutes early to a dark salon. I texted her and let her know I arrived, no response . At 10:00 I texted her " please let me know if you aren't coming so I can make other arrangements and I still received no response. By 11:00 am I left in tears from frustration. How can you do this to a client?
