The Dog Spot's Training was an answered prayer. The Dog Spots’ (re) potty training of my puppy and me for that matter was an answer to a desperate prayer. A stray puppy showed up on my doorstep in Chicago on October 17th 2021. I searched for the puppy’s family for weeks but to no avail. Within a few days of fostering the puppy whom we eventually named Safari because she was on a journey when she found my boyfriend and me, we discovered that she was probably set free/abandoned because she had a severe urination problem. She urinated everywhere ALL THE TIME. When I say every everywhere all the time I mean everywhere all the time; in the house, the car, her crate and anywhere and everywhere outside; the stairs, sidewalk, garage, grass etc. It felt like I was cleaning up urine from the time I woke up until the time I went to bed. I would keep her outside for an hour or more and she would come in the house and immediately urinate. It was stressful for me, her, my senior dog and it put a strain on my relationship. I was an emotional wreck.I consulted several veterinarians and specialists. After expensive exams including ultrasounds and bloodwork the doctors concluded that nothing was wrong with her physiologically but suggested a medicine that might help her but could possible cause her to have hypertension not to mention it cost $55 per month. In the meantime I resorted to putting her in diapers which kept me from having to clean the house but I was washing reusable diaper every day. Some people suggested that the problem was psychological so I consulted a trainer before leaving Chicago. Fast forward to February 2021 moved to Grayson, GA into my brand new, just built dream house. The fresh paint and new carpet smell was heavenly but didn’t last long. Safari was still peeing everywhere! I was at my wits end and had made the difficult decision to rehome her. I was hoping to find a loving home where she could live outdoors and her constant urination wouldn’t be an issue. I searched high and low for a rescue or someone to adopt her but to no avail. In the meantime I came across an ad for The Dog Spot. I consulted with them in a last ditch effort resolve Safari’s urinating issue and to keep her because I didn’t want to re-home her.The training conducted by The Dog Spot was a literal miracle. It was tough but worth it. I say tough because the training was as much about me as much as it was about Safari. After several weeks of consistently following their plan, Safari was no longer peeing anywhere and everywhere! It was a miracle. Fast forward to a year later, she still has accidents but most of the time it’s is my fault for not being consistent with her. I do believe that her bladder is smaller than normal or she does not have normal urinary control however the problem is nowhere near what it used to be. The Dog Spot’s Training taught her that pee peeing outside is better than inside. I would give The Dog Spot 10 stars if I could. I can’t thank them enough for helping to keep my fur family together. Little Miss Safari is a happy girl now and so am I.

Tina and the staff at The Dog Spot are so awesome! My corgi, Woodrow has been going there since he had his last puppy shots 3 years ago. He loves his “Aunt Tina “ and starts barking the moment we turn onto Diversified Drive. I know if my dog gets that excited to be somewhere, then they must treat him really well. It’s his home away from home, and he loves the trainer and staff. He is currently going through rehab for a lower back injury, and they have been giving him activities to help strengthen his rear legs and improve his coordination. In fact, Tina is the one who told me where to go for help when the neurologists at the UGA vet school couldn’t find the cause of his issue. Only one week into treatment and he is already running and walking better, and his friends at TDS have helped a lot. We are both truly grateful to Tina, Hillary and and the rest of the team.

This place has always been phenomenal. We used to take our Shepherd/Collie mix here several years ago and our dog always came back happy and healthy. When we would show up, he would pull to get in. Then, they raised the prices I think almost double to what they used to be. So, as being on a budget, we had to shop elsewhere. For years we had been trying other locations trying to find a spot that was cheap but that our dog loved and it wasn't possible. When trying to go to a location a second time, our dog would not want to get out of the van and would really drag his feet trying to get him into a place. The last time we took him to one of this subpar places, he came back with a gigantic hot spot on his hip. So, alas, we are back at The Dog Spot when we can't find a family friend to care for him and he comes home happy and healthy! It is worth the price knowing he will come back as we brought him in. He gets to play with other dogs and they do enrichment with him if you pay the extra $10 which is worth it for us. So if you have a social dog who needs that extra attention and interaction, bring him here. He will be happy!

I'm a helicopter dog-mom & I feel very comfortable putting Mason in their care. Tina & the staff are kind, helpful and knowledgeable. They gave me a tour when we had our meet & greet. They also give a report at the end of the day which I think is really cute!

My now 6 month old puppy Remington has been attending playcare 2-3x weekly for just about 3 months and started puppy training with Joyce about a month ago. He suffers from general anxiety but is very comfortable with Tina and the staff, and I can tell they take very good care of him. My 4 month old puppy Riley started play care 1-2x weekly about a month ago and it is going well for him as well. I have no complaints about the facility or the program. I do wish that there were cameras, so that I could check in on/watch them periodically throughout the day, but that is just me being a neurotic dog mom ?

We found the Dog Spot when we were looking for puppy programs for our little husky, Mika, and we're glad we did! Like all huskies Mika is a little wild, but Brandy has worked with her through the puppy program and enrichment and we're very pleased with how our dog has progressed. Brandy and the folks at the Dog Spot have been available to answer all of our questions and give us guidance. We'll continue bringing Mika to the Dog Spot and we highly recommend it to others!

I'm looking for a place for boarding. Their advertisements look like the dogs are playing all day and being trained and having fun. But the reality is not the same. Unfortunately I did not go there first without my dogs, otherwise I would not have brought them there for daycare. My husband dropped my 2 dogs off at 9am and he said dogs were in pens and they put my 2 in pens as well. So no one was playing at 9am. Then when I picked them up at 4pm I asked for a tour, and same thing, dogs in pens, no one playing. Only 2 staff members. I asked how my dogs did and they said ok. I asked if they played with other dogs and they said yes. But with only two staff members I don't see how they can have one person manning the front desk and the other taking care of the 10 or more dogs in their care. My dogs also had to really pee when we left, so not sure how often they were taken out for potty breaks. Also, the place was not clean or tidy. Just an overall bad impression of the place. Definitely not going back again.

Up til now DS has been 5stars but they apparently have come under new ownership. My dog was left there and suffered an injury resulting in an expensive vet bill. I no longer feel safe leaving him in there care.

My dogs absolutely love the Dog Spot! They are super excited to go there and always come home so happy! The Dog Spot truly goes above and beyond to make sure that while in their care your furbaby gets the absolute best treatment and has a great day while there.
