Meridian Park is a popular outdoor and indoor recreation spot that offers a variety of activities for visitors of all ages. The outdoor area features a kids' playground with plenty of space for children to play, as well as a concrete walking path that extends around a pond and toward nearby baseball fields. One of the park’s highlights is its natural wooded trails behind the gym, which are softer and offer a pleasant experience for walking or running. The trails vary in difficulty, with some covered in straw from pine trees and others more dirt-based with roots to watch out for. Dogs are welcome on the outdoor trails, and waste bags are provided near the pond, making it a dog-friendly environment. Inside the recreational center, there are basketball courts and a weight gym upstairs, which includes a walking area encircling the courts. The center's bathrooms are open when the gym is open, although they close at 5 pm on weekdays and are unavailable on Sundays. The park also boasts a well-maintained paved trail, about a mile long, suitable for walking, running, or biking, along with non-paved trails in the woods for more scenic routes. Visitors enjoy the community atmosphere, friendly members, and the presence of ducks and geese in the pond. Picnic areas with covered tables are available for gatherings. Overall, Meridian Park is a versatile place that combines nature, fitness, and community activities, making it a favorite spot for locals seeking outdoor recreation and relaxation.
This park is my favorite park to go to. I go far distances to go to it and I love it

Nice 1.2 mile trail. Mostly flat with the exception of a slight incline. Wen there for a ran and ran 5 miles between Meridian and West Walton Park. It was a nice view and well kept path in the unpaved section of the trail.

I really love the Community Center and the park. The Community Center members are so friendly. I also love seeing all the ducks and geese in the pond. I also enjoy walking my dogs on the new dirt trail through the woods behind the Community Center.
