DO NOT LIVE HERE they are unprofessional they don’t help with nothing . Ever since I moved in here everything has been going left my fridge doesn’t work my back door doesn’t work and the damn remote for the ceiling doesn’t even work and they have not yet came and fixed it they are liars and I do not recommend this apartment at all do not live here

I came to visit my son and my car was stolen from what’s supposed to be a gated community….. I have yet to hear from anyone about any compensation for my loss…. Although I did have my gps company find my car the tow fee the impound fees or the cost to fix my car are through the roof ….

Melbra is a nice person she treat me very nice. I just move in and she is an every nice person I recommend everyone to go to her if your planning on moving in the cavalier !

I have been living over here for two years now. The old management was a lottttt better! I would give two and a half stars for the leasing offices terrible communication, non-responsiveness and clear lack of interest to effectively do their job… BUT I did four stars because the maintenance men have always been great! Rent is too high for the neighborhood to be so ghetto. Side gate hasn’t worked in over a year, cars getting stolen, nice pool & gym tho.

This is the 2nd time that my post has been taken down. What's wrong American Landmark, you don't want others to know the truth? Seems as though Google allows companies to control their reviews. I have lived at this community for the past 7 years. American Landmark was the 3rd management company that I went through. They were the worse of all three. I am going to be fair in this review and remove all emotions. The purpose of my review is to give potential residents my experience. I have never been late on my rent not even in the pandemic. However, I was very vocal about the customer service with their manager A. Sanders. I had corporate staff emails and I complained/wrote emails to them only when necessary. The problem is their overall management style from what I can see. D. Edwards seemed to me to be the only genuine and professional person in that office. I lived on the bottom floor and my unit used to always have bugs coming from under the door. My utility/water heat closest flooded my kitchen often and the maintenance supervisor seemed to have the attitude that he was waiting to just retire and only there for a paycheck. He seldomly followed up. Let's not talk about the trash valet. I literally had to call the trash company myself to get my trash picked up before S. Brooks finally stepped in. The apartments are not worth the price they charge. When they took over the community they did some upgrades and in my opinion, it was just to have a reason to justify increasing your rent when it came around for renewals. But the icing on the cake for me that I chose to move and break my lease was the mandatory Technology Package. My unit was not set up with pre-equipment and I had my own internet provider. I had a higher internet speed than what they were offering and they wanted me to pay 99.00 for the internet. I had my own cable so I did not want to switch. You had an option to keep what you had but they will charge you for their service - even if you did not have it. These programs won't work for everyone but they are not concerned. Please look up the new law that was passed by the FCC in regards to bulk billing (revenue share agreements). When I questioned the staff and contacted J.Lubeck (the owner of American Landmark directly) they sucked their attorney on me. Little did they know that I deal with liars - oops ( I mean ) attorneys all the time...that it did not intimidate me at all. During the course of my moving out - they changed the locks on my unit and I was unable to get back in the unit even though I paid my rent on time and in full ... (last month). Retaliation is real...just know that - as sutle, as they do it - just keep track of all phone calls and send things via email if you can. American Landmark in my opinion is solely for profit while they can get it from you. They don't have great retention skills. They seem to have hidden fees to me as well. I just reviewed a ledger they gave to me and charges were added to my account that are not a part of the lease. I know it's hard out here at this time to find an apartment. Truly pay attention to reviews - we are trying to provide sound information. ( I am not referring to reviews that they can alter on their actual website). Cavalier at 100 is manipulating the views by asking applicants to rate them. By doing this it does not give accurate reviews of the living experience at Cavalier @ 100, but rather the mere application process. This company needs to strategize in this manner because they are well aware of how unprofessional they truly are. If you see a site that has all good reviews and not an ounce of a bad one...that should tell you something. I waited until I departed to write my review. Always remember the level of customer service that we receive in our neighborhoods doesn't happen everywhere else. This community use to be very good but I guess some companies make sure we don't have a good thing for that long. Many are moving out of the complex from what I observed..

The dynamics of the complex has changed drastically. Last year The complex was an overall great and safe place to live however, I noticed since Mckinley left , it seems to have went downhill immediately . (Many of the residents agree as well) . This is my first time ever writing a review . But with the rate of the decrease in the property & safety, I believe it was necessary. The complex went from a 10/10 to a 5/10 due to safety, car theft, and miscellaneous factors. While the building & apartments are relatively cleanly, be mindful that other things are JUST AS IMPORTANT, if not more especially if you are younger and live alone.

Ever since Mr . Mckenly left the manager we have now lord whoever is running the leasing office the young lady who looks like she just graduated high school she is completely unprofessional, always has an attitude . Never answers the phone . They are never in the leasing office . Please do better

It's embarrassing how incompetent the staff in leasing office is. It's been a turnover of staff about 4 times in the 3yrs I've lived here & each time it gets worse. Every time the new batch swears they will he better but it's just nastier attitudes (especially the girl that's in there now!) & less answering of calls & more excuses. They definitely ask the new residents to add a good review to increase ratings because I was told by my new neighbor they asked her several times but if u ask someone that's lived here as long as me u will get an honest review

Visited this apartment last Wednesday as a walk in and Twanda was able to assist us right away. She was very kind and had so much professionalism. She showed my family and I different apartments that I was interested in and had great conversation throughout the whole visit. This complex looks amazing and I hope to become a resident soon.

I've been living here over a year and in the beginning things were great. Now, living here is not safe at all! The care for the people who live here is not shown. My car was stolen out of this gated community. NEVER not once have they contacted me about this and it's camera available. This is the worst by far. They lack awareness in this complex .JUST STAY AWAY! Oh and not to mention keep record of your money orders! They have lost money orders supposedly , It's just a complete mess!!!

My experience with the Supervisor of Maintenance Andre has been stellar. My kitchen sink overflowed and he called a company to extricate the water and dry the carpet. Now the padding in the area that flooded has been replaced and the carpeting nailed down.He gets 6 stars for responsiveness.
