I cannot thank Westside enough for their care for my cat on a Friday night. I was met by very friendly and helpful staff members and Dr. Barnes. Being that my cat was a senior and had several health diagnoses throughout his life, they took everything into consideration when it came to assessing him. What I appreciated the most was the discussions with me about pricing, even though I was clear that I would do what it took. Dr. Barnes even changed course and re-worked up pricing when she could have just gone ahead and done all of the services then. I felt like we were in the best hands since such a caring doctor was not only looking out for her patient, but for the patient's family. They took great care of my cat overnight and were amazing when I picked up the next morning, keeping him stable so we could get to our regular vet at open. Extremely thorough and sweet medical notes were provided to me so that I could give a rundown of these to our DVM. I am convinced my cat was given the best chance that night because of their care and dedication to their patients. I wrote a thank you email as well to them, but I want them to know via this review that I will forever be grateful for all of their work. Thank you Dr. Barnes & staff for your love and care for my cat in the hardest of circumstances.

Very friendly, compassionate and were just explaining options for payments and alternatives. Hard to find that type of honesty nowadays

our fur baby was hit by a car on a Sunday night around 8:30,we were all screaming & my daughter had sense enough to call Westside Animal ER Clinic. The staff took us in immediately & was so comforting, the Vet came out to talk to us, she did the labs & X-rays & explained everything to us to calm us down.Clinic kept Benji overnight, called to give us updates on his condition. The next morning referred us to the Blue Pearl.I am convinced the excellent service & awesome Vet saved Benji's life. Thank you from my soul.

Our puppy seemed to us to be having episodes of seizures. Upon arrival our puppy was took straight back. They were very knowledgeable and caring which means alot when your freaked out in full anxiety bc something is wrong with your baby. The doc admitted her over night and updated us with videos to insure us she was OK. Our nurse was so great in reassuring us she would pull through. I hands down would pay any amount to keep my dogs here with us. They took great care of our puppy and got her every bit back to her normal punky self.Thank you WestSide

I took my very sick dog to Westside late on a Saturday night and was met by Dr. Myers immediately. She showed genuine concern and gave insightful feedback about the potential cause of my dog's serious symptoms. Dr. Myers realized how anxious I was and brought her frenchie in (looks the same as my baby ) to comfort me while they were getting labs. My dog had to stay overnight to be monitored, and the staff checked in with me regularly to tell me how he was doing. When I picked him up, Dr. Myers met with me again to tell me about his course of treatment. Dr. Myers and Vet Tech Franky and crew sent us home with his full medical record including his X-rays on DVDs. I will use this clinic again next time my dog has an emergency and recommend others do the same.

They are absolutely AMAZING!! They did an intial triage, and we waited another 20 minutes when the vet nurse or vet tech came in, who was very kind and answered all of our questions. It was busy, but I know ER's are busy anyway, and we didnt mind. After the vet did her exam we were given an estimate for what was recommended based on our fur babys condition and the exam which was performed. It was expensive, but as with ALL ER services its going to be expensive, so PLEASE plan accordingly. Its not there fault that emergency sevices are expensive, they are there away from family at night, weekends, and HOLIDAYS, so be thankful when your regular pet doctor is NOT THERE. I had a WONDERFUL experience and would recomend Westside Animal ER to everyone I know!!!!

Wonderful!!!! They were busy, but aren't all emergency services, human and animal alike? My poor little terrier got attacked and had some wounds that needed to be fixed, I had to wait a little bit, but they came and checked on me and made sure my little guy was okay while we waited in the exam room. The estimate was high, but I've seen the cost of verterinary services as well as grocerys go up, so I was prepared, the cost of emergency services is going to be expensive no matter the situation. I'm glad they were availible at 11pm on a Friday night, because I sure needed them!!! The Doctor was very nice and talked to me in a way that I understood what all was wrong with my little guy. The nurse was very empathic, and walked me through the entire estimate and why each item was needed, after me hesitating, he told me, "now if this isnt in your budget, I can talk with the Doctor and see what we can do for your baby, that you feel comfortable with doing tonight" I told him that was very considerate of him, but that my baby had to be fixed. He said " he does need those wounds repaired, but we want you to be comforable with what youre able to pay, and procceded to tell me about care credit and the other scratchpay. I actually decided to try the scratchpay and was approved, so I was happy to not come out of pocket all at once. My little Rufus is fully healed and doing so well! No more 11pm walks for him!!!!! Thank you Frank and Karen!

AVOID THIS ESTABLISHMENT!!. Opt for Blue Pearl instead the drive is worth your dogs safety. Read the reviews. Tonight, I brought my dog here due to severe issue in pooping and mucus in poop. The tech was helpful and attentive, but everything took a turn when Dr. Myers entered. Her demeanor was unwelcoming, and her questions were accompanied by eye rolls. Despite being the sole customer, I felt dismissed. When I tried to show her a picture, she snapped, "I did not ask you to show me anything, just answer my questions." I promptly requested my dog back, sensing the negative atmosphere. Spare yourself the disappointment—these recurring issues in service are echoed in numerous reviews. Note the common contact number shared in review responses, leads only to the main office. Save your time and choose Blue Pearl for better care.

I wanted to wait until I had a clear diagnosis for my pet and also to calm down before providing this feedback. It has now been 8 days, and I'm still disturbed about the experience and lack of care provided. Not to mention the $ I was charged.Customer Service/Staff: I called on the evening of 12/26 to see if I could bring my dog in to be seen. It was 10pm. We arrived and walked into the lobby, but there was no one at the front desk. After about 3-4 minutes, a lady walked out from the back. She didn't say hello or how can I help you? She just stared at us. So I said, "Hello, we just called a few minutes ago about bringing my pet in". She motioned for us to follow her into a room and gave me a clip board with a few papers to complete. When I returned to the front desk, she wasn't there. I stood at the desk for 5 mins, and again she walked up from the back room. I gave her the clipboard and she said nothing. After 15 mins I returned to the front desk to ask what could we expect? Would there be someone to see my dog? Is there a vet on duty, etc. She gave me the most condescending look & rudely told me, "yes- someone will see you" and that was it! So I returned to the room to 1- check on my dog, and 2- look up the reviews on this place, and they were bad. A few mins go by and the Tech comes in to ask what's going on w/my dog. She then took my dog to the back to be seen, then returned and tells me that it would be about $1,000 to see him, take blood, and do x-rays. I was more concerned about my dog at this point. Then she tells me that I must pay upfront before they will look at him. She said that people run out on their pets w/o paying. At this point, I feel like it was a really bad idea to bring him to this place. So, I make the pmt (which increased to $1200 at the counter) & was told that I couldn't get an itemized receipt until the pet was released. Interesting, I can make pmt before but couldn't get the receipt until after my pet was released. The Vet comes in and asks the same questions that the Tech asked but she was much less professional! She returns within about 15mins with this look of doom & tells us that our dog has CANCER & is bleeding internally. I asked her if she took a blood test & she said she didn't need to because it was seen on the x-ray. We follow her to the back to look at the x-ray screen & she shows us a pic with what she pointed out as a CANCER mass. She kept saying that she was so sorry and that our pet was 10yrs old & we really needed to think about his quality of life. I let her know that I've had pets all my life and would never let my pet suffer. I asked her if she had more pictures and what was her recommendation? She didn't have a recommendation! I asked her where my dog was, and she pointed to a kennel across the room. There he was chilling, just looking at us. He didn't visibly look incapacitated so I told her that I'd like to take him to my regular veterinarian in the morning and if she could provide the write up and x-rays to them. She agreed and told us that he was considered "critical" and should stay with them overnight, and I could pick him up in the morning on the way to the Vet. I told her no thank you, we'll take him home with us now. After about 10 mins, they bring my dog back to us. We go home. I called my vet the next morning. In the report it has no pet details (weight, age, etc.) Just that they explained that my dog had cancer, and offered to keep him over night, and that he looked depressed. I was so confused because my dog was running around and playing, and he certainly wasn't displaying "end of life" behavior. LONG STORY SHORT- my dog doesn't have cancer. I was charged $1200 for 2 x-ray photos (that didn't include a ventricular view) & a finger print on my dogs gums. The staff lacks customer service skills & clearly aren't happy in their roles. The vet didn't seem competent. On the website, it still says that t

Don't bother bringing your pet here. They wanted $4200 to keep my cat. I was sent home with amoxicillin, and a $500 bill. I still have to bring my pet to another vet. Wish I would of read the reviews here first. Still don't know what's wrong with my cat and they didn't know either. Waste of time and money
