We have been using Old Dominion off and on for a few years and this year very heavy. We spend at least $1000 a week give or take. Which since the freight industry is in such demand that may seem like small pennies to a big Corporate company, but its a lot for a small business. As well, they are not the only carrier we use weekly and trust me we spend 4 to 5 times that a week on just shipping. We are in the business of shipping solid steel fire pits and accessories. Recently, someone at this location decided that our shipping class needed to be changed reflecting in massive over charges on our billing. We saw shipments that we were quoted almost double due to someone reclassifying our product. Shipping classes are very subjective. So, when I received our latest weekly bill we discovered $1,100 and change over charges from what we were quoted. So, my question for you Old Dominion is this. Why did you not take the time to call us, work with us or explain that you thought we were using the wrong shipping class. Instead you just changed it and billed us. I believe this has happened for the last 3 or 4 billing cycles. That is terrible business. I can assure you now you will not get any of our business. We work with a multitude of carriers not just you and they all understand how hard it is for small businesses to compete and with LTL shipping being so high these days they also don't take it upon themselves to change our shipping class that we have been using for the last 11 years without professionally letting us know. I know we are peanuts to you, but given the times if the tables were turned and there was not a huge demand for your services I am sure you wouldn't have pulled that on a customer. We actually liked your service, but we won't use you again. Thanks and here's to Corporate Greed, go stick it.
