I have been coming to this VCA location since I got my fur child. Their prices are a little higher than other locations nearby, but I love how they treat my baby and approach my concerns.

Last week I had to make the decision to have my baby Snow put to sleep. It was the hardest thing I have ever had to do and I want to say thank you to everyone at VCA for your kindness, love and sincerity. You all were so gentle with me and my baby Snow. I am so glad I brought Snow here. I was not expecting so much love and support but you all went above and beyond, you followed up with phone calls while he was sick, I cannot thank you enough. I will never take my fur babies anywhere else.

I had to travel with my pup out of the country and the usda rep asked for some paperwork last minute. The staff at VCA was extremely helpful with coordinating what I needed. The person who was supposed to sign off on the documents wasn't available and another vet at this location stepped up to the plate and saved my trip! They made sure everything was done properly and up to the usda's specs. Thank you so much

I live in Decatur but I still drive to the Lilburn location because the staff and veterinary care here is so exceptional. I credit them with the fact that my dog lived as long and as comfortably as he did. They are also great about helping people find ways to pay and to operate within a budget.

I love this clinic! Before diving into everything great, I do want to preface this by saying VCA is a little more expensive than most places in the area, but I also want to say you 100% get what you pay for. I am fortunate enough to be in a situation where cost is not necessarily a primary concern for me, but if it is for you, just know that coming in. Moving forward though - I have never been to a clinic where I feel welcomed, and where my pet, even though very stressed, by the end of the visit, is calmed down enough to even explore the room a bit. This staff is excellent. I mean that. E X C E L L E N T. I have had every doctor I visited with follow up with me, call me, provide ways to contact them. I have had questions pop up when I couldnt get an appointment or that were quick questions, and they are always happy to lend a hand! Even the techs who come in to check the basics are extremely kind and knowledgeable.I really do appreciate this clinic, they are the best of the best, and I have no intentions of ever taking my cat anywhere else.I only wish I could take my ferrets to them as well :PThank you all for all you do! :)-Adam and Oni

Totally agree with Drew. The doctors and nurses are really great. The front office is the WORST. I had an appointment today for my puppy who I think has kennel cough. My appointment was at 2 pm. My puppy is literally coughing up a lung so I pull over and give him some water. I arrive at 2:09 pm. The young woman called at 2:06 and literally cancel my appointment as I am pulling in. She was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Please do not waste you time here. Go to Killian Hill Animal Hospital instead. They are friendly, professional and courteous.

Haven't been back since I had to put my forever furbaby down last October, but I couldn't find a groomer for my new baby so I decided to return to my vet of 14 years. As always everyone is super kind and informative. They were so excited to meet Jax. Anyway, I waited about 8 weeks to get an appointment with my favorite groomer which I didn't mind becauae Barbara is so good. However, prior to his groom Jax had to have a quick exam to get his flu vaccine and in true VCA form...the vet called to give me an update and chat about Mr. Jax which I really appreciate. Glad to be back.

Dr. Boudreau and her team have provided excellent care and straightforward advice in treating our cats and dogs for more than 2 decades. They've laughed with us and respectfully shared our sorrow. They build relationships with all their fur families. That's why we only use VCA Lilburn.

In early October 2022, we brought our cat, Max, in because he was gagging. In my 4 decades of being a dog owner, I have never had a vet refuse to give suggestions about the possible causes and recommend a test. The young vet said that we need tests, but kept her mouth shut on which test. We (husband and I )were made to feel scared. We were offered packages the highest of which was $700 and included fecal and urinalysis. We thought it may be digestive (having no input from vet) so we selected that package because it was the only one with a fecal and urinalysis. We were given a kit to collect the samples at homeAt $700, you would think they would keep the cat and collect the samples themsleves. We were unable to catch the urine and never turned in the sample because we are not experts at animal care as a vet should be. We received NO refund of a portion of the$700. We complained, but were scolded on social media. We were never contacted although they have our phone number. We complained to Twitter corporate and have never received a reply. The gagging resolved in a coufew days. We figure it was a hairball due to Max licking our kitten. So, we paid $700 for a hairball that a vet should have been able to spot in seconds. VCA is owned by Mars and appears to be a cash cow for unethical business practice. In my opinion

I’ve just moved to Lilburn about several months ago.I’ve had about 4 visits for my dogs, the Doctor are very sweet and helpful. My dogs got their shots and I always over hear them and staff helping make the pets comfortable by telling them what a great job they did which is super sweet. But my concern is I wish staff at the desk when you first walk in was a bit nicer. And before writing this I did look back at other people’s comments about VCA to see if maybe I was being critical but people have said the same about staff not being welcoming. When people come into a place of business I understand it’s okay to look a customer up and down but after you’ve assessed they are not a threat and polite and needing your help for their pet - shouldn’t you then give decent customer service vs making us customers feel stupid and unwelcome?I don’t understand how one side of the staff is nice and the other isn’t. I’ll continue my business for now with them but not did not enjoy past visits when entering, which were all appointments.

This review really upsets me to have to write. We loved our vet and the staff here, who genuinely seem to care and to want to help, but they are ruining their practice with the care club. They push it on you pretty aggressively at really vulnerable moments (i.e., when your pet is sick and you’re stressed out and worried about them) and make it seem like some kind of insurance, but ultimately it’s just an installment plan with bonus overhead for them. If it covered everything, or it was made clear in the beginning, that would make sense, but it only covers some things, and you still mostly pay out of pocket anyway, and then if, god forbid, your pet dies and you need to cancel, you are still on the hook for the entire amount anyway. It’s pointless and they know it. You really get the sense that they are told by management they need to push this awful program during your appointment. So we spent thousands of dollars along the way on top of the care club payments, with ultimately no diagnosis, and our cat had to be put to sleep anyway. They did everything they could, and if this review was for their care alone it would be a much higher rating. But a month later, I get notified that the payment is coming up, so I called the office to cancel the care club subscription and was told it would be $900 because the cat “used a lot of services.” I had to call a second number for a Los Angeles office and was told I owed $700 for early cancelation. It served no purpose for us, and ended up costing us more, and generally came across as dishonest, cruel and overall just upsetting. I feel like a s****** Also as a bonus, they opened a care credit inquiry in my name that I never requested. Hated that too.And now even though we really liked the people working there, I never want to work with this company again because of their terrible corporate policies.

This is an excellent clinic to take your pet. I've used them for several years now for my cat. The staff is consistently professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They take great care to be gentle with my cat, who can get aggressive in her visits. They are thorough when they check various ailments, and offer a range of testing/treatment options when they can at different price points. They are quick to refill and notify you about medications, and to schedule appointments that work for you.
