Great experience! I have been searching for help with my extremely anxious dog. Dr Hopper was amazing! She listened to my concerns and gave me easy strategies for helping my dog. My dog does NOT like going to the vet, but she was calm and at ease the whole time with Dr Hopper. I highly recommend seeing her.

Best place ever!! I wouldn’t take my dog to anyone else! The staff is attentive and friendly. They truly care about my dog. I’ve been a client for over 30 years. The doctors are the best! They explain everything and give you options for care. I drive almost an hour to see them because I wouldn’t trust anyone else!

Awful people! If I could give them "0" stars, I would. Took my pet in for a rash. Was told on the phone by Beth that the charge will be $54 for the vet exam. The vet decided to go ahead and do the anal gland expression (though we never asked for it and she didn't tell us she'll do it before having done it) - fine, no problem, they charged extra for it but we didn't say anything about that. However, Beth wanted to charge me $75 for the vet exam, so I asked why?....her explanation, b/c they didn't have our pet's rabies vaccine update record - ok, so why not ask me for it and I immediately provided that to her. But even after that, she had a very bad attitude towards me, kept arguing that I didn't tell her, and I kept saying 'if you're going to charge a customer extra money for something, why don't YOU ask them for an updated vaccine record before assuming the pet is not updated and just charging them more?' Then we asked to get couple of other vaccines done on that same visit; Beth said 'no, it'll take more time so we'll have to reschedule for the vaccines AND there will be another vet exam charge of $54'. I said that's ridiculous for us to have to pay another vet exam 2 to 3 days later for vaccines only. She said she'll ask the vet and get back with me on this via email. Days passed, but she never got back. I called several times, they kept saying Beth is busy and she'll call me back - no call back. Finally I sent them an email inquiring what's the issue, why isn't Beth replying back to me - some anonymous person replied back via email that Dr. Hopper had posted a letter in the mail, stating that they'll no longer provide us with vet care.....all b/c I questioned their erroneous charges!Absolutely disgusting and unpleasant experience we had. Beware, once you go there, they will try to sneak in 'extra costs' .... and be more beware, that if you question them on their sneakiness, they'll be very offended and will get rid of you.

Killian Hill declined to do my dogs dental without explanation. I don't know if it was some political view they assigned to me and for which they disagreed or because I sought a second opinion. Without an explanation, the only factor that is fact is my getting a second opinion. I found another vet that had an oxygen cage. Alas, upon my visit, they told me they also do not have an oxygen cage so I turned back to Killian Hill due to their proximity to my house. It's a shame that a vet practice could not be professional and understand a client's wanting the best for her dogs.

I brought my 2 year old shepherd mix in for his first visit the other day. I was super nervous because he is terrified of new people (especially the vet). He is usually very hard to deal with but the vet tech did an amazing job with him. She had no problems restraining him to give him his shots & he actually took treats from her hand which is very rare of him! Highly recommended this place.

Refused to give an estimate or ask the vet for a rough cost of procedure. Only offered to schedule me for a visit to then give a price when I already specified the condition/service needed. Seemed taken aback when I told them I didn't want to pay to get an estimate and would be calling other vets who can give at least an estimate before I pay for an appointment.

I really like this vet. They obviously take pride in what they do and are not there just to take your money. The staff are professional and knowledgeable, and it reflects in their service and care for animals. Five stars!

My 12 y.o. dog was in desperate need of a procedure to fix a tooth abscess, but on the day of the procedure, they refused to treat him. It started with the tech, dragging him across the floor, because his ailing hips wouldn’t get him up fast enough for her. Then because that didn’t get the most positive reaction (and by that I mean, simply requesting they not do that) the vet comes storming out, refusing to treat him. If somebody did that to an elderly human, they would lose their license and be sanctioned for malpractice. This is not the first bad experience we’ve had with one of their vets being cavalier with our dogs. These people need to be shut down.

We became the unexpected parents of a little starving stray kitten in October, about three months ago. We knew we had the means to give her a good life, which was an important part of our decision to keep her. It was a certainty that she'd never had a vaccine or veterinary care because she was still so young and neglected, and I wanted to know the cost of getting her fully immunized when getting her scheduled for her first appointment.I called and made an appointment at a well-reviewed vet nearby, who was touted for the "red carpet treatment" they give to pets. When I asked what the cost of the appointment might be, and how many appointments would be needed, the receptionist became distinctly frigid and told me she'd have to work up a quote to email over to me at a later time. She did send me a quote, but I knew when I hung up that this wasn't the vet for us. Tension over simply asking for pricing up front is unacceptable. On a friend's recommendation, I called Killian Hill Animal Hospital. I presented the same information, was given a kind and honest response about the first appointment, and the receptionist then quoted estimates for all the needed appointments. She did a great job, too, as we've now happily paid for each one. We've really enjoyed the experience of bringing our kitten here; they are kind, practical and thoughtful. They focus on what's needed and give gentle recommendations instead of judgmental mandates. We trust them with our kitten, and they've given us great advice during a time that's very rewarding with our pet, but also very demanding! The experience of giving a home to our kitten has been tremendous, and Killian Hill Animal Hospital has been an instrumental part. We're grateful to do business with a straight-forward practice and establish a relationship for the years ahead.
