Bethany is a phenomenal dog trainer! Our adult rescue dogs, Biscuit and Buddy, are currently benefiting tremendously from her science-based, positive reinforcement approach. She has a deep understanding of canine behavior, which helps her quickly identify and address the specific challenges our pups face. We're working on obedience, overcoming anxieties and problems stemming from their past as abandoned pups, as well as reactivity, fear, and leash behavior. Bethany skillfully personalizes her methods for each dog's unique personality, making the training not only effective but also a bonding experience. Her compassionate demeanor puts Biscuit and Buddy at ease, creating a safe and encouraging learning environment. They get SO excited when they hear Bethany arrive. They also feel safe and happy when they board with Bethany, which gives us incredible peace of mind. We're so grateful for Bethany's expertise and dedication. Our dogs are blossoming into happy, confident, relaxed and playful doggos now able to live their best lives!! This 5-star review is absolutely deserved – we couldn't recommend her more highly!Training is a journey, it does not happen overnight. Trust Bethany's science-backed techniques. You'll be glad you did. Your pupper even more so :)

100% recommend. I interact with all of my animals on a much better level than I have previously. Learning how to read my animals body language and how to handle their training needs has been a blast.

Bethany is amazing!! Bethany has had a solution for every issue we have had with our pit bull! She is extremely knowledgeable and kind. Not only does she train out of love and respect to the dog, she also teaches you how to continue training with your dog as well. Our dog is a completely different dog thanks to Bethany’s training. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars!!

Bethany has a high level of expertise with behavioral problems as well as the basic training pets need. Her background in vet medicine and insight into the psychology of canines and felines is very impressive. I highly recommend her services.

Bethany is absolutely AMAZING! About a year ago a stray bully mix showed up at my house. I knew that if she was taken to the pound or shelter she would be put down within weeks. At first she got along with my other two dogs ok, but a few months in (after gaining her strength) she started to bully my senior dog. After a couple fights we had to keep her separated 100% of the time. My house was chaos and exhausting. With Bethany's help my house has returned to normal and all of the dogs get along without any issues now. I could not recommend her enough!!

We are forever grateful to Bethany for helping our anxious rescue, Maxwell, learn to calm down, focus, and build confidence! Maxwell is a different dog than the one we brought home from a local shelter on New Year’s Eve of 2020. Maxwell was about 14 months then, had been through several shelters, foster groups, and a failed adoption; along the way, he got separated from two siblings. (He now has an older, adoring mate.) Within his first weeks at our house, he had broken and escaped two Kong metal crates and eaten through multiple leashes and collars. When we walked him at our favorite parks, he was reactive to other dogs—so much so that I refused to ever take him to a park again after he nearly got away from me one day. Every walk was a miserable, stressful experience—even the walks on our street. Bethany started working with him in August of that year. Having had cats most of my life, I never understood the power of the simple commands of sit, stay, relax, place, etc., until I met Bethany and watched her begin to transform Maxwell. I now marvel at how these simple commands help our boy calm down when he’s stressed, how he is becoming less reactive to external stressors, and how fast he calms down now when he’s excited, vs. how long it took him last year and the year before. Last year, we got 2 new sets of neighbors with dogs, and Maxwell was stressed much of the year, but thanks to some training sessions with one of the neighbors he has calmed down and we have been enjoying calm, fun, long walks on our street and nearby road. This spring, he doesn’t bark and go nuts when he hears the other dogs. We are now back to training at a busy park, and we look forward to more progress in the months ahead. Our sessions are always fun and rewarding experiences for Maxwell and for all. He absolutely loves every session!

Bethany is the best! Her training, experience, and insight into dog behavior is invaluable. We love her positive approach. She has taught us so much and helped our two rescues, who had rough starts in life, become happy, well adjusted dogs. She truly cares about her clients, and about helping dogs have their best life.

My puppy and I had a wonderful first class! We learned a ton so quickly. The philosophy, style and delivery of the instructor was phenomenal! We can’t wait for our next class. We are hoping to do a few private sessions as well! Our puppy even enjoyed watching Bethany on her YouTube channel! So so funny!

We have a dog that kept getting aggressive because he was anxious and scared, but we didn't know that at the time. When we reached out to Bethany, she worked with him and was able to read him like a book. She taught us how to train him as well, letting us know the proper technique. The trust those two developed is something special. He is 100 times better now, and we keep working on different aspects with him with Bethany's help. When we keep coming up with problems our dog faces, Bethany always has a way to train. Scared of kids? Bethany has dolls to train with. Scared of feet or being stepped on? Bethany has tons of different ways of training with feet. Scared of the apocalypse? I'm sure Bethany has a plan for your dog.Bethany is a genius when it comes to dog behavior, and I can't recommend her enough!

Our heeler-terrier mix was delighted when we adopted a puppy, and played with him enthusiastically until he outgrew her, still as puppy hyper as ever. He eventually got past her last nerve, and the resulting fight was expensive. We separated them, but several subsequent encounters resulted in further fights. We did not want to euthanize the heeler (clearly the aggressor), and reluctantly decided to rehome the puppy we had become very attached to.Fortunately our folks at Winterville Animal talked us into trying behavioral training. We scouted the web and polled our acquaintances, and decided to give Bethany Jordan at Rocket Science a try. It's taken a few months, and we've had to learn every bit as much as the dogs have, but they're playing joyfully together and sleeping in a pile again. Bethany's commitment to positive training and consistent progress are outstanding, and her determination to work with humans and dogs as a community is exactly the ticket. It has been a rewarding journey. We highly recommend Bethany to any owner(s) who are willing to work, to learn, and to train with firmness, joy, and love. You will be rewarded. We would NOT recommend Bethany if you already know everything there is to know about dogs. And she would not do if you expect to have the trainer come in and work a miracle without much effort on your part.In other words, she's the real deal: a knowledgeable, experienced trainer who will show you how to modify your own behavior and that of your dogs to produce outstanding relationships. And given what you'll learn, you'll likely find your encounters with every dog you meet more enjoyable than ever before.

We started training with Bethany when our Jack Russell puppy was four months old. We were struggling with aggression, mouthing and controlling his high energy. After completing six weeks of training, Hunter is absolutely an adorable puppy. We have learned the foundational skills necessary to have that enjoyable pet that we wanted! We have definitive plans to continue training with her as Hunter grows into an adult dog. We are utterly amazed by Bethany‘s contagious passion and knowledge of the science behind correctly training a pet. We highly recommend Bethany and are so very thankful for what she has done for us and our fur baby!

If you're looking for a dog trainer for anything, look no further! Bethany is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and hard working. She's truly an expert in her field; and since our first meeting, it was very clear that her career is her calling. My dog, after suffering a dog attack and harsh discipline at daycare, became very reactive and insecure. In our first session, Bethany diagnosed the problem and developed a treatment plan on the spot. Each one of our subsequent sessions has been nothing but steps forward, and my dog is now confident and calm.As an owner working with Bethany, I feel empowered to better handle and care for my dog. Bethany is an incredible teacher and helped me to understand what was happening with my dog so that I could easily implement her interventions between sessions. She's encouraging, easy to talk to, and fun to work with; and my dog LOVES her :)She's respectful of both time and money, and her services are worth every penny. I'm soon moving to ~5 hours away and plan to make trips back to the area for training sessions.
