Expensive! They seem to be all about the money and will use guilt and manipulation tactics to get it. Okay for shots but not much else... and be very careful... My breeder gave my puppy most of her shots, but I still took her to this vet for other shots that my breeder could not give. Upon making an appointment for one of these visits ... well... it went like this... I called to make the appointment and indicated what specifically for, certain shots. I had my puppy's shot record in my hand. I was told I was wrong... that she needed other shots even though I knew my puppy had already had them. The tone of the person I was speaking to was very condescending. She seemed to not believe me when I explained that they must not be looking at the most recent copy of my puppy's shot record, that I provided to them when I was there last. My dog had the shots and was up to date. She insisted I was putting my puppy in danger by not getting the appropriate shots. My puppy had those shots... but she didn't seem to want to even acknowledge me. It was their mistake that they did not have a copy or it was not in their computer. Yet... they made it sound as if I didn't care about my puppy at all since I didn't schedule for those shots... which I love my puppy dearly. So, this really made me angry. Next issue... I got my puppy's first heart worm and flea prevention medicine from them. Well, my puppy had a slight reaction to it so I let them know and the next time around requested a different one which works for my puppy and other dogs. Every time now, they come out with the original medication that caused the reaction, even though I specifically say "the one she had last time I was here". It's like they are pushing that other specific brand or something. So I have to make certain, each time, which they give for my dog. I have to be VERY careful with this vet. They will give me the wrong medication or things my dog does not need... it could be disastrous for my dog otherwise, that I am sure of. I would never leave my dog in the care of this vet for the reason that they do not pay attention to their own records and they do not want to listen. They seem to really be about the money. The only reason I go to this vet for some things is because they are closer to me. I prefer to go to Dockery in Albany, but I really don't like going to Albany these days. If it were something severe, I'd go to Dockery in Albany regardless.
