I absolutely love Sheltering Arms! The Buford Drive location in Lawrenceville is relatively new, I believe, and I anticipate that soon they will be like many other Sheltering Arms centers with waiting lists for neary every age, The administrative staff and childcare providers are friendly, warm, and professional. They go out of their way to address any concern and see that any issue is resolved. The center itself is colorful and inviting. The curriculum encourages creativity in addition to providing an educational and social foundation. I enrolled my now 3 year old nearly 7 months ago but could not get my 4 year old in for Pre K because it was full, so I enrolled him around the corner at Primrose of Lawrenceville North. No comparison and a bad experience which i will disclose on my review of their school. In a nutshell, I found it overall to be cold, ridgid, and at times, judgemental. They treat their GA Pre-K students like the step children of the center - for example no breakfast just lunch and snack which they charge $150 a month for. Not so at Sheltering Arms. I was so happy when they opened a new GA PreK class and I was thankfully able to transfer my son. This review has become more long winded than I intended but I believe every parent should have as much information as possible when searching for childcare. It can be very difficult to find one where you feel completely comfortable. Sheltering Arms is a must see! Ms. Louisa, Mr. Jason, and Ms Felicia are wonderful! I have not met all of the teachers, but Ms. Sheryl, Ms. Rickia, & Ms. Cynthia are terrific! I feel good about my children being in a safe, loving environment and also very important - my kids love being there too.
