Front office staff can do a much better job of maintaining safety and order here. Gates are never fixed and fines are far too steep for issues. Maintenance staff however are great for the most part and very responsive. Neighbors have all been nice too. Upgraded units are nice for apartment living.Pool is an issue however: too many parties and too many people from outside of the complex using it. That must be addressed by the front office staff, but they don’t really seem to be doing anything.

I have lived at this complex for 5 years. The management and crew(Adriana and Jessica) have been wonderful. They are very attentive to the residents. They have helped me at every problem that I have. The maintenance crew always show up on time and solve every problem in a timely fashion. Management always keeps us informed on everything that is going on in our neighborhood whether it be good or bad. I appreciate them.

I had the pleasure of speaking with Adriana. She went through all the apartments for me and showed me the ones that best suited my needs. She was so nice and very detailed with helping me. 10/10 experience thanks to her!

I called last Thursday to potentially rent one of their apartments. Talking to the staff that day was quite an unpleasant experience, as they explained instructions in a complicated manner not fully explaining precisely what I was paying for. After my fiancé decided to stay at her aunts for a bit I tried to cancel my application. Although, when I tried to cancel I was told to contact corporate, however when I asked for corporate’s contact information to share this exciting experience, I was told I was unable to do so; by the same staff member who literally told me to do it. After an in depth phone call today with the assistant manager I found out the front desk last week was in training. I also found out the trainee and trainer were the only people on shift at the time. As somebody who was in charge of managing my peers inside the United States military, in my opinion this is completely irresponsible. A lot of this mess could’ve been easily avoided if their chain of command was present that day.Thank You again to Jessica.

Looking at the apartments online can be deceiving. At first the communication with Jessica was good. She showed me an apartment size like the one I was interested in even though the apartment wasn't ready. She told me I would have black appliances in my apartment. My apartment wasn't going to be ready to view until around June 24th I was told. I did the application/lease, etc. My move in date was July 1st. I sent a follow-up text on July 22nd asking was everything ok, was I still good to move on the 1st. I asked if I could come and view the apartment since I hadn't seen it. I did not know where the apartment was located. Instead of letting me come see it, she sends me 4 pictures and everything was far away except the floors, no pics of the bedroom. She assured me that the apartment looked nice. I come the day before to pick up the keys and she gives me an envelope that had "Move Out" on it with old apartment keys inside. So the locks weren't changed which is a safety issue. Inside the welcome folder was a valet trash flyer that was only in Spanish and I'm black, can't read Spanish. When I started driving to the apartment, I noticed how dirty the garages and balconies were starting from building 400-900, nothing like buildings 1000-2000, those are nice! I was praying my building was going to be nice, but nope....dirty and dingy. The walkway going down to my apartment was FULL of cobwebs and bugs! The front door to my apartment and surrounding area was full of cobwebs and very dirty. When I got inside it was spiders and spider webs on the walls, millipedes crawling in the bathroom and bedroom, the light panel in the kitchen was popped out, holes/crack in ceiling, spider webs inside the kitchen and all of the living room windows. The back door was filthy with dirt, spider webs and bugs, the balcony was filthy. I texted Jessica immediately to tell her and her response was she was very busy and would send a maintenance man over for the light panel. He then told me to submit maintenance requests for anything else. the blinds in the bedroom don't work. Communication with Jessica ceased. She's always too busy. I'm a communicator and I don't like living any type of way. And, I don't like to be ignored or dismissed. So, I'm assuming they're nice until you sign the lease. I literally spent 3 days cleaning and scrubbing this apartment from top to bottom, including the front and back doors/balcony before I could rest in this place. Whatever happened to power washing? Why is this area so dingy and dirty compared to the other areas? Do they hire a cleaning company and if so, do they inspect what they do? Pictures attached!

Do not move in here you would not like it here the rent is affordable but the apartment is trash they have ppl hanging out on the stairs at 3am. Breezeway dirty for long extended time trash collection don’t come on time sometimes not being picked up in the gym. None of the equipment works. This apartment is a really nasty apartment. Please do not move here the regional office, nor the leasing office really cares about you all they care is that you pay your rent on time and they will get to you when they get to you and as you can see when you walking in to the breezeway there’s a sign that says you have to call the cops if anything is wrong they’re not reliable, trust and believe when they say that because that’s exactly what’s gonna it’s not safe here.

I’ve been living here for 2 years and I must say that the people in your rent office are important when moving in somewhere. Jessica has been at our complex the longest and I can definitely understand why. She is more than helpful and actually cares about her tenants. The other 2 middle aged ladies… not so much and there’s a younger lady but I’m neutral on her. I think she’s ok, seems nice. One specific lady in the office right beside Jessica’s has a nasty disposition radiating through her snide looks and body language. 5 stars for Jessica!!!

Andrea was very helpful, she explained everything so well, she was very patient and she made all the process to go very smooth! All the staff was very nice and welcoming ! I definitely recommend Halston Riverside ?

My mom just moved in and she loves it! Nice, friendly staff and beautiful pools. Really cool layout to the property! So far so good on response time from maintenance. The entire staff has been amazing! Sincere thanks Halston for taking such good care of mom! We are extremely thankful!

I absolutely love living here. The leasing staff are very welcoming and always here ready to assist as needed. Maintenance is great, they have completed my maintenance requests or issues the same day or day after and grounds are usually clean. People here complaining about trash and placing pictures of the dumpster when obviously the compactor is not working at the moment and that is not anyone one's fault, things get damaged and sometimes they cannot be fixed the same day. Cheers to maintainance who do their best to keep the community clean!!

I wish zero stars were an option. This place is a dressed up dump.Do not move here. The staff are unreasonable and will try their best to nickel and dime every penny out of you. They refuse to answer or return calls. Terrible, terrible customer service. This place also has bugs, roaches, water bugs and worms outside and inside the carpet. The units smell like mold and have mold in them. This place is a dressed up piece of you know what!!!Run Please!!!! $1750 for a one bed apartment in the condition of this place is insane. More like $750.00 and the monthly Orkin man.

This is definitely the worst apartment complex in Gwinnett hands down. You get charge for valet trash and they come Monday through Thursday. If you leave trash out one day they will charge an additional 150 on your rent. Maintenance request takes forever l. You call the front office they are never available. It’s a gated community and the gates is always broke. And you still see that on your monthly charge. They are also over priced.

1 star is a compliment. DON’T DO IT!!! Trust me! I was not allowed to see the apartment until the day of move in. There’s no way I would have signed this lease if I’d seen this beforehand. My apartment smells like mold and the walls are warping along with drywall cracks. They ignored my request for mold inspection and you can clearly smell mold in the apartment. The property management company NEVER responded to me after I’ve sent emails and called. It’s dirty here from the time you start at the trash compactor near that gate. Roaches, leaking windows and doors, they bill you to bill you for water and sewage. They will NEVER return your call unless you’re a potential renter. I was told I would get one thing, I was shown one thing but I was not allowed to see this until I was here to move in, and ended up with this. It’s actually embarrassing having company. The first thing they notice is the smell of mold or mildew. I have no idea where we stand on the complaint and issues because you can’t get the property manager and the management company, Birchstone is completely unreachable. The proof is in the photos. The price and value is uncoordinated.

Unfortunately after a week of placing an appointment to tour, I arrived this morning in hopes to find my new place and was unable to tour due to me not having a personal vehicle and the ground being wet (it was not raining at the time). The leasing agent allowed me to sit in office and view a video of the unit that’s available on the website, but if that was sufficient i wouldve been fine without scheduling a tour. I was told they dont use the golf carts when its wet outside. I was outside a few minutes after and seen an individual proceed to ride the golf cart into the property. That set back only brought me to another complex which proceeded to tour me on their golf carts so …
