I am a regular customer at the gas station. I went to purchase cigarettes and had an electronic coupon for a $1.00 off a pack. This is according to the promotional program for the brand. It even gave me the address for that exact Quick Mart as a participating business. The clerk refused to scan the coupon and told me that “they” do not use coupons and “it was just a dollar”. I was very offended of the statement. It was the principle of the matter and not the amount. If the business is listed as a participant then they should honor the discount. Quick Mart and other businesses receive special pricing for selling the brand of cigarettes. At this point I am offended of the statement and of the lack of professionalism. It is very simple, no negotiation on pricing, keep your comments to yourself and respect the fact that the only reason you are in business is because of consumers. I wonder if the brand of cigarettes that I was trying to purchase is aware of the underhanded practices at this location? My intention is to make this store clerk famous. Social media, corporate, better business bureau whatever it takes to shine the light on him! Welcome to “it is just a dollar” club!
