Took our out of town guests, hoping for a better experience than last time. The food was mostly good, but my friend's shrimp and grits was way undercooked and was returned. The waitress was unfamiliar with items on the menu. That has happened before. Had to ask for salt and pepper on the table. That's understandable, but neither one would come out of the shaker. Ordered iced tea and the server brought WARM tea in a glass with no ice. That's a first.

LUV our hotel! Embrace the seasonal menu offerings and fresh specials. Was disappointed last night with two things: 1) beloved Warren wedge was quit ‘gritty' ie lettuce not washed. 2) steak ordered Med Rare and came out ‘medium/barely pinkish'. Second steak came out rare plus quite a long time later, my fellow dining guests were almost done with their meals. Served was EXCELLENT!!

We totally enjoyed theRabun Lake Hotel Dining room for Celebrating our 55 year anniversary dinner. The food was outstanding, the staff was excellent, the bar was more than I can say other greatest.

8/25/2024. Four of us were there for Sunday brunch celebrating a birthday which was mentioned in the online reservation. Haven't been in quite awhile and the items have changed in presentation and in quantity. The Eggs Benedict were good, as was the shrimp and grits. Very few fried potatoes with the Benedicts. My husband ordered the sausage gravy and biscuits which came served in a cereal bowl, one biscuit on top of the other. Two large tasty biscuits with about maybe a 1/2 cup of gravy. He had to reorder the gravy twice or chose to eat the biscuits plain and dry. Should obviously be served on a plate with enough gravy to finish both biscuits. Our server was great even tho she was the only one on duty. The food was ok for the value and the blackberry mimosas were great. We hope to go for dinner soon and hope they are not scrimping on that as well. This has always been one of our go to restaurants for special occasions since we don't live close by.

This was our first visit to Lake Rabun Restaurant. Loved the historic lake retreat vibe. The food was delicious, our server, Kailey, was friendly and attentive. We had the best time catching up with friends and enjoying a great meal. Hope to visit again soon

The restaurant is tucked in on the side of Lake Rabun in a cute little area. It had character and beauty. The service and food was fantastic. I highly recommend it. We'll be back!

The service is very hit and miss. Tonight was a miss. Had an early reservation but still waited for 25 min to be seated with only 1 other table in main dining room. We want this place to be good but marginal at best. Food was good.

I'm husband and I started with sharing a wedge salad, the best tasting one I've ever had. They even split it for us without asking. I had the salmon which was so amazing, a unique flavor and the portion was huge. The grits and broccolini were great too, perfectly cooked. My husband had the Bison burger. The flavor was good, but it came with two patties so no way you could bite into it. We would have preferred one patty and something more interesting on top. The only downfall were the cocktails. We ordered the Tequila Strawberry & the Blackberry Gin. Both were SUPER sweet and we could hardly drink them. The service was good and the atmosphere nice.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner with friends on the porch. Taylor was our waitress and she is just adorable! We were so pleased to see her again as she waited on us a few months ago. Cocktails were unique and fun @ the bar. All entrées were delicious! The AC wasn't working on the porch, so a tad warm at the end of our meal; but, otherwise, a wonderful evening.

Overall the restaurant was as expected, set in pairing with historic mountain lodge along side Lake Rabun. The service was excellent although they seated us on outside porch which didn't have controller air which by the time diners finished I was very uncomfortable, wish they had ask before seating!! The food was excellent, we actually both enjoyed specials for the night. I enjoyed the bison ribeye while my wife had the tortalini and both were fantastic. We followed with chocolate mouse and creme brûlée again perfect.

Lovely meal in a quaint, old fashioned (in a good way) setting. Wedge salad was crisp and refreshing, with a delicious dressing. Entrees of pecan- crusted trout and bison ribeye steak - delicious. The trout was cooked perfectly. The potato AU gratin and and roasted carrots accompanying the steak were yummy! Nice wine list, good service, I'd definitely recommend.

Service was slow for us; but not for the regulars. We ended up being in the restaurant for almost 2 hours. Ordered a second drink and never received it. Waited for food for an hour. No one ever said anything about the wait to us. Never received a refill on water even. Food was very good. Not worth the wait though.

Overall it was pretty good but didn't live up to the hype that I found on the internet when I was researching places to eat in the area. The food was not bad, but pretty typical and nothing super special. The website made it sound like it was elevated farm to table dishes and that wasn't the case. Typical American dining experience but the service was great and the waitress was very sweet and attentive.
