Let me start by saying my wife and I have been a customer of this bank before it was South State Bank for over 10 years.
Take your money out of this Bank immediately! I attempted to withdrawal 7,500 in cash today and was refused after showing multiple IDs and answering multiple questions. I want you to hear what I'm saying to you folks, they refused to give me my money!!

Are you hearing this? You better run to the bank and get everything you can out I'll be back tomorrow with my lawyer.
Update, they have never apologized. They think it's okay to hold on to your money and not give it to you. I want you to think about this folks they do not want to give you your money.

This branch might as well close down. They can’t ever resolve an issue and never know how to do anything the customer needs. It’s always “Let me ask”, “Let me get help” and today I was hit with the wonderful “You can call the 1-800 number”… Why would I call a 1800 number when I’m with a bank manager who has more knowledge on the bank process than I do? I will continue to go to the Opelika branch because they actually help and value their customers!

Eternal times in the drive thru is what you will experience while banking at their branches! I have watched this business migrate from Charter, which was wonderful, and regressed to CenterState, which was several steps down, and now we are in the deep, dark depths of banking. Yesterday I was second in line at the drive thru. The car in front of me had already sent the carrier with their transaction to the teller. We sat waiting for 12 minutes (yes, I was purposefully timing my wait) and at no time was the carrier sent back for additional signatures or identification. There was only one car which pulled away during this period of time. The other day I was at the drive thru to make a commercial deposit for my business. I sent the carrier with my deposit consisting of 3 checks. I noticed the teller disappeared from the window and she eventually came back. She informed me that a 7 day hold was going to be put on the deposit. I asked her which one of the checks were going to be held and she informed me they were holding the entire $27,000 deposit. I asked her what was the justification for placing a hold on the entire balance is. Another lady appeared and she said to protect us and you. I asked from what and she then asked how long I had been doing business with these Customers. I advised her 30+ years and I never recall a bounced check! I started getting pretty irritated and I told her they could not arbitrarily place a hold on this deposit without justification, that I needed the funds to pay bills, and buy more product for my Customers. I demanded they send the checks back to me and I would come into the lobby to discuss this situation with the Branch Manager. I told them they wouldn't have to worry about me any longer. Of course, they didn't send the checks back and they took the 7 day hold off the commercial account. The next day, I went into the lobby and asked to speak to the Branch Manager to talk with her about the transaction. She asked what time this occurred and I gave her the deposit slip. She said she was not in at that time and said they had several new tellers and she saw no reason they would have wanted to put a 7 day hold on the deposit. I also informed her we had been in business since since 1989 and I never have had a check bounce from any of our Customers. I am looking at alternatives for my banking services!
