“Great rooms, and really spacious. Everything was clean and up to date but the fact that there was ample sitting room, and bedroom space was appreciated. Great place to stay if you're traveling, like we were, and retired or active duty.”

“We elected to elope at the Fairbanks House and we could not have been happier! What an amazing choice exceeding our expectations! The historic Mansion provided the perfect setting for our intimate affair. The owners were wonderful hosts and the staff were attentive to all our needs. Yvonne, Flint and Tammy, among others, really made us feel right at home. The daily breakfast and evening social were top notch! But the nightly COOKIES were a delectable savory touch! Every detail of our elopement was flawless and memorable! Photographer Lea and Officiant Lisa mirrored the exceptional experience. After the ceremony the Vintage Car getaway and our chauffeur Richard whisked us off to a tour of the hallmark town capped with a scrumptious Dinner at David’s. Kudos to all! We will be back yearly to celebrate our magical day!”

“They are vastly improving! Wonderful improvements. And great upgrades and additions to come. The new owner Apple is really striving to make this hotel fantastic and i must say he is doing a great job thus far! Lets just hope he doesnt loose sight and fall off like most hotel owners do great in the beginning then end up letting things go and its back bad again. However i dont see this happening with this owner??Rooms: Are being upgraded and also have some new room types as wellWalkability: Theres at least 5 fast food restaurant and 4 convenience stores in walking distance.Food & drinks: A nice variety breakfast.”

“Hampton Inns are our go to place for road trips. Rooms are reliably comfortable and very clean. This Hampton Inn did not disappoint. Only minor issue was our coffeemaker didn't work. After reporting it at checkout , we got the sense it would be remedied for the next guest.”

“We make this a stop on our twice annual North/south trek. Carol is a fabulous host, attending to all our needs. I love the jacuzzi room upstairs. Each room has different amenities, so be sure to talk about what you need. The attention to historic detail is fun to explore while the rooms are comfortable and unique. Breakfast ...well, let’s just say my foodie husband would visit just for the breakfast! This is a labor of love and not a polished corporate location. Go with the flow and enjoy the break from the busy I95 traffic.Good restaurants nearby. Quaint tiny town that time has passed by”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Elizabeth Pointe! Hospitality was top notch, from friendly staff to delicious, fresh breakfast. They thought of everything… complimentary waters, evening happy hours, homemade brownies, and even a basket of blankets for those cool beach evenings. Relaxing on the porch overlooking the water or strolling the beach in front of the lodge, this was a wonderful place to unwind and come home to after exploring Amelia Island!Walkability: It’s on the beach! Plus, easy access to Ft. Clinch and Egan’s Creek trail. Short drive to downtown Fernandina Beach.Food & drinks: Made to order pancakes and those scones have got to be homemade! Yum!”

“This is by far the best motel 6 ive been to in a long time. Updated rooms. Nothing extravagant but seems to be just right. Very pet friendly on that note the one and only complaint i have is that they seem to have maybe a tick infestation on the grounds my dog got between 1-3 ticks on him everytime i took him outiside! That would be the only negative thing i can say about it. Everything else was great.”

“We were staying here for a rest from driving. Just a one night stopover. Completely satisfied and impressed. It was off season, so the price was very reasonable. The room and entire hotel were very clean and comfortable. Came with a free real breakfast. Next door and down the block are two real nice restaurants. The area looked and felt very safe. Hotel is directly on the ocean. I would absolutely recommend and return. Next time I plan to stay much longer. Beautiful place!!!Rooms: Not so big, but just right and clean. No complaints.Safety: Felt safe. Staff was very attentive.Walkability: Beach and park are steps away. One restaurant is next door on the beach and another is 1/2 block away. Plenty of parking.”

“Had such a lovely stay here, I don’t know what everyone’s problem is in these reviews. Sure, the place has character. It’s old. The walls might have some stains. Grow up. Have you ever been to Europe? This is a great hotel. If you want a vanilla hotel experience go to a Holiday Inn. Me? I split a bottle of wine with my partner on the balcony outside of our room while we watched the sunset. The room was clean and our gorgeous bathtub did not once run out of hot water. Would definitely stay again.”

“I've stayed in many Red Roofs over the years and this one is the nicest. Clean, renovated and everything was in good working order. One comment however: the shower floor had a very low "curb" which allowed quite a bit of water to leak out, even if the spray was not heavy. I was careful to put the bath mat to absorb most of the water and wipe the floor dry after my shower, but most guests will not bother with that. The two-star rating for service was for asking reception for additional hangers (there were only 2 in the room) and being told they didn't have any.”
