My daughter attended daycare here from 4 months to 18 months. After she was moved to the 1 year old class, there was next to no communication and/or feedback about her day. I just wanted updates on eating, diapering, and nap. I complained to the director on a regular basis. I was never able to get consistent feedback from her teachers so we went elsewhere for daycare.

My children have been attending The Academy at Ellison Lakes for nearly 3 years now. We absolutely love them!! I know my children are so loved by all the teachers there, and the feeling is mutual!! Anytime we have had a question or concern it has been addressed promptly. Their communication is excellent and I feel so lucky to have found a childcare center we trust so much.

Academy at Ellison Lakes has been such an incredible experience for me and my daughter. I must admit, I was skeptical at first to even put my daughter into school. I was leaning more towards homeschooling. My daughter kept insisting she wanted to go to school, so I finally caved and toured Academy. The site was safe, secure and the kids were all enjoying themselves. In fact, my daughter jumped right into the group activity and was having a blast with the kiddos. After some back and forth, I decided to enroll her and it has been the best decision we have made for our family.Ms. Denise and Ms. Sarah have been so kind and nurturing with my little one. She is always so happy to go to class and has so much to tell me when she comes home every day. My daughter had a bit of a speech delay and Ms. Denise / Ms. Sarah were able to catch onto that and put in line for an evaluation to get an IEP in place, so when she enters Kindergarten she can get the care she needs to further her education. My daughter’s speech, and all other fine motor skills have improved so much. She has become quite social (Covid Baby) and has begun to really thrive in social settings she was previously overwhelmed in. My daughter can be very busy, and even hyperactive, and yet both her teachers remain incredibly kind, and understanding. The atmosphere is always positive, which made it very easy to find comfort and relax knowing my child was in good hands. I cannot speak highly enough for the care we receive at the Academy. You will not regret enrolling your child or trusting all the lovely staff who help make everything possible.Thank you, Denise, and Sarah for all that you do and continue to do for my daughter, and all the other little minds you help shape for the future. Your job is important and your hard work does not go unrecognized.

I sent my two boys there three or four years ago. They provided very good care for the kids. My older son made a lot of friends there. We moved and I had to pull them out. We tried two different daycares after this one but couldn't find any one as good as this . Luckily both my kids are in public schools now. I just wanted to thank them for the good care the staff provided to my kiddos.

I just want to tell you all how much I love working here. They work with my disability. I'm a disabled teacher who wanted to contribute and to continue to work with kids. I couldn't do it in a school district. I found a home here and I'm know you and your whole family can find a home here! I've been here 2 years. I appreciate the teachers who work with me tremendously! I appreciate the support I get from management (Mrs. Kebra, Ms. Cheryl, and Mrs. Dee). I also appreciate the support I get from our owner Mrs. Laura and her family. I truly believe the teachers care about "our babies."

My two sons have attended this daycare since infancy and I would never have them go anywhere else! The staff LOVE those children. Teaching is done with kindness and understanding, while also being firm about respecting others and being kind to their friends.I have NEVER been concerned about their safety or well-being. More often than not my kids don't want to leave because they are having too much fun. We've even made friend with many of the other parents and have set up playdates for our children outside of school. When my oldest graduated into Kindergarten his education was beyond what they expected, and I continue to bring him to the Academy for school breaks and summer camp. He always comes home with a new fun fact of something he learned there. The staff here have helped me raise my boys into caring, kind, and well educated kids. I could not ask for more.

Two year old class was great for my wild daughter because it was learning through play but as soon as we transitioned to three year old the trouble began.Essentially we left because she was terrified to go to school only if her main teacher was there. She tells me that her teacher pinches her, like her back when she wouldn’t go to sleep. And pinches the space between her thumb and pointer finger when she isn’t listening. My kid is wild and learns better with play. After a week at her new school she is forming sentences better because of the interaction abs friendship bonding she can do with the other kids (less structure) and behaves better at home because she’s spending her energy playing hard at school. And she is actually initiating reading books with me daily.Summary: if you have a calm ready to learn three year old this place will school them away so they can be ahead of the curb in kindergarten. If your child is wild at heart already having trouble paying attention… take your business somewhere else. I cried after dropping her off there several times and worried about her all day, in that case what’s even the point of daycare.

The Academy at Ellison Lakes is a Great school!!!!! Owners and management are friendly, supportive and encouraging. I am a certified teacher who has been teaching GA Pre-K for 19 1/2 years. I am going on my 4th year here and I love it!!! We have a lot of long term employees that have made this their career and they are kind, nurturing and loving teachers. Unfortunately since Covid we have had several new disgruntled employees that didn’t like to their job and have spread lies about our school because they “didn’t get to do what they wanted” and were expected to do the job they were hired for. It’s sad how most people will take the time to say bad things about a place (even when it’s no true) and they don’t take the time to say positive things!Come check out our school for yourself!!

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! Management is so unprofessional and they don’t care about your children. A baby in infants nose was bruised bad by an employee while the main teachers were out and management knows about it and they have not properly reported the incident to the parent. A child in Junior camp was dragged by an employee name Ms Orlina down the hallway while management sat upfront and did nothing! The teacher was put back in the classroom because they were “short staffed”! My daughter was in the same class and that raised a big concern for me that they would put a teacher back in the classroom setting with that type of temperament. Today July 20, 2022 the same teacher grabbed a little girl and the whole facility heard her scream and management sat up front and did not move or check to see why the child was screaming. There is no structure in none of the preschool rooms except preschool 1 because of the high turnover rate with teachers quitting due to management and their unprofessional behavior. They let kids be violent to teachers and other students without reporting the incidents to the parents because they don’t want to lose money! They have a crazy delusional teacher there name Ms Carson who yells and mistreats all the kids in summer camp but they won’t fire her they’ll will kick your kids out instead. So many parents have made accusations about the mistreatment of their children or their children being physically harmed by staff and of course management did nothing about any of these complaints. They promise parents that they’ll investigate but they really can careless! I hope the state gets this handled as soon as possible with all the parents complaints and concerns. I pulled both of my children today and as a former EMPLOYEE im telling you all DO NOT SEND YOUR KIDS HERE! THEY DONT LEARN ANYTHING IN MAJORITY OF THE CLASSES AND ITS A WASTE OF MONEY! Parents are paying $200 or more in tuition just for their children to play with blocks and toys all day. Its not the teachers fault, its management fault because their teachers are not trained to teach or they dont provide them with the materials that are needed to be successful teachers! This childcare center is trash!

Honestly upset that I request my children’s spot to be held until mid February and I was told by the directors they would, now come February I contact the school letting them know that the kids would be back tomorrow and I was told that the OWNER gave up their spots and I just feel that after it had already been agreed upon that was extremely distasteful. I could even understand if someone gave me a call to advise me that my children were removed that way I could find another child care center I trust with my children, now here I am having to call off of work until I am able to find a suitable childcare center that has opens for a toddler and infant! Had I been made aware that the owner was backing out on an agreenment that had already been made I would have made other arrangements. I am very upset , my job is my lovely hood and how I pay bills so for me to have to miss out on work because of u professionalism on a business owners part just isn’t fair.I will say I love the center and all the staff that I have been in contact with , they are all a joy.
