The organization is wonderful and helps hundreds of cats and kittens find forever homes every year. There are no cats kept at this location. The office is for administration, previously approved intakes, and scheduled meet and greets. All of the cats are kept in foster homes. You can see who is available and apply to adopt or foster, on the website or, visit the PetSmart in Woodstock every Saturday 11AM-2:30PM.
Purr Nation ALWAYS NEED MORE FOSTERS! PLEASE APPLY! Purrnation can only sponsor as many cats and kittens, as we have foster homes with space (and funding for vet care). If you find yourself in a situation where you know you can't offer a forever home but, you do have the right environment for a little while, you can be a foster! Vet costs are covered by the organization, however donations are always appreciated.
All you need to do to be a foster, is apply and be able to provide food with a safe, loving environment and have a little time to take your foster kitty to their appointments. Appointments are generally for vaccination, spay/neuter, adoption days or meet and greets! You can even choose your level. Older cats who are self sufficient, older kittens who just need to play, neonatal kittens who need round the clock care or kitties with special medical needs?
Give what you can, when you can, where you can, whether it be time, donations or adoption. Every kitty that finds a forever home, is a cat that has the best life.
If you find a neonate kitten, please be certain its mother hasn't been around for at least 4 hours. She may be moving her nest and can only move one at a time. Mom is the best caretaker for kittens under 6 weeks old and neonates (up to 4 weeks) need to be fed every 2 hours! If you see mom, keep an eye on them and apply to foster ASAP, you may be able to take them in and get mom spayed, when they are a bit older. If you end up taking the kitten, get KMR, feeding syringe and look up The Kitten Lady on YouTube ASAP.
If you are looking for a place to take a cat or kitten, to be surrendered, please do not bring them to the office. I know it's frustrating not to be able to find help fast but, there are so many unwanted and unclaimed pets, it's overwhelming for everyone, including animal rescue organizations. We help as many as we can but, unfortunately, can't help every kitty, as much as we want to! If you originally adopted from PurrNation, reach out to Ginger. Otherwise, please reach out to Lifeline, the Humane Society or your local shelter.

My housemate has called weekly, emailed, etc, because they desperately need to give up their cat (circumstances beyond our control.)
We have yet to hear back from any of the rescues they've contacted, and are now awaiting the call to make an appointment to euthanize.
I know y'all can't save every cat, but you could at least call back and say "your senior cat with minor health problems isn't a good match for our rescue."
For seven months we've tried to find this old man a home. At least now we will know how his story ends.

I adopted two kittens from purrnation one a week before the other and the second kitten they gave me is very very sick and they lied to me and told me she was healthy. Not until after I adopted her I got her medical records and saw she was also very sick when she was young. They gave me this kitten knowing I am a young kid wanting my first cat and now I have started to love a kitten who is very sick and nothing is working to cure her I now have to deal with trying to feed her pills and medicine that ends up not working. I have now payed over 400 dollars to try and figure out what is wrong with her and it is very stressful and now my first kitten I got from them also has a chance to become sick. Make sure to double check before you buy from then because they don’t care they just want to get rid of the animals.
I adopted “Cutie”

These guys were awesome from top to bottom. I changed upon them in our local PetsMart and decided to put in an application. I got an interview next day and was able to select a cat that I would like to meet after going through a few options with the adoption counselor. I was set up to meet with the fosters early that next week and if we liked the car we could pay online and take her home. Everything went well and we were able to take the absolutely most sweetest bean ever (Amora, or Amoracita for short) home with us. The process was so easy and I love how involved they were from top to bottom. You can tell the counselors love and care for the cats just from how they speak about them and know their personalities and needs. The fosters seem to be very well vetted too, from the experience that we had with Amora's. 20/10 I recommend this as a place to meet your next purr buddy.

We recently adopted two kittens from Purr Nation Cat Alliance. Originally their names were Cooper and Romy, and they have been updated to Appa and Momo. We love our new kittens more than I can put into words. We recently lost our dog of 12 years very suddenly to cancer, and these kittens have helped to fill a quiet house. They are lovable, cuddly, curious, full of energy, and amazing companions. Our experience with Purr Nation was fantastic. We attended one of their adoption events with the intention of finding a bonded pair of kittens, and immediately fell in love. The application and adoption process were easy and painless, and we were provided with excellent documentation of the kittens medical history. The kittens had been fostered and are extremely well behaved. They use the litter box without issue which is amazing! We even had the happy coincidence of running into their foster parent Alan, who was extremely helpful. He told us about their habits and preferences, and even went out of his way to bring by the extra food he had for them later on in the day.I cannot give Purr Nation enough praise. They made this entire process easy from start to finish, and you can tell how much each member we talked to deeply cares about the cats. They even followed up with us a few weeks later to ensure the transition for the kittens was going smoothly. If you are thinking about adopting some kittens or cats in the area, you have to use Purr Nation. They will not only give you amazing customer service, but clearly care about their animals as well.I have included pictures of our kittens in their new home!*UPDATE*I wasn't sure how to properly provide an update on our amazing boys, so I figured I would update the previous review. I wanted to check in and let Purr Nation know that the two boys they fostered, and were kind enough to pass onto us, are doing wonderful.I'm not sure how often you guys get updates on how the kittens you fostered are doing, but I wanted to let you know its been 5 months since our review and we are still over the moon with Appa and Momo. They have been wonderful additions to the house and are the best friends we could have asked for. They both love to cuddle, particularly laying on our chests and sleeping on our shoulders. They have favorite toys they carry everywhere and they love playing with each other. They sleep with us every night and love being in whichever room we are in.Thank you again for the wonderful service and for helping us to find our boys. ?I've included new pictures of the boys to show how much bigger they have gotten.

Our sweet little baby is Fiona. My girls are smitten and so is the whole house! Even the dogs know and respect that she is now queen. ?Addition 11/26/22: we just adopted our 2nd kitten Hailey. Hailey is a loving addition to our family. My daughter & niece are completely in love. Hailey is such a good baby and so playful and loving. We thank her sweet foster mom for taking such good care of her. Thank you! We promise to love and care for her like we do for our other fur babies.

I can't really rate Purr Nation because me and my wife have been working with them for years. But all rescue groups should get an automatic 5 star rating because they're one of the only ones trying to help solve a problem.

They were very quick to respond to my request ,we adopted an adorable, energetic kitten, I believe his name was Mystro but we decided to call him Lucky. I'm going to reach out to them again so he can have a playmate.
