That is an organization that really has a deep love for animals. It's always a pleasure when I bring my pets there

I took my cat here for the first time today because she was vomiting and has been super lethargic. I was brought into an exam room by one of the vet techs, Nicole. I let her know it was my first time here, and I explained why I brought my cat in. I also mentioned how she may have bitten into a grape a few days ago. After they took my cat to the back, I hear the tech and what I assume to be the vet (Dr. Hembree) talk about my *indoor* cat not being up to date on her rabies vaccine - essentially stated it’s 2024, why is she not up to date on her rabies vaccine? Then, they start talking about grapes and one asked if the other wanted a grape. I thought these comments were rude and unprofessional of the staff. I was obviously worried about my cat and wanted to make sure she was okay, and those comments were the last thing I expected / wanted to hear. I won’t be bringing my cat back.

I’ve been taking my cats here for years. Great people all across the board, always. Years ago my cat, Pandora, had to be put to sleep due to cancer. The whole team was extremely kind and professional. Just recently our cat, Jasper, was very ill and we were going to put him to sleep. However he passed naturally in his sleep in our bed at home with his cat dad and brother. My husband took him into NCAH to be cremated, once again the staff was unbelievably kind and loving. I picked him yesterday, I was met with the same kindness and care as we’ve always received. I will always bring my fur babies to NCAH.

North Cobb Animal Hospital has been taking care of my westie, Olive, for over 17 years!! Brenda, Office Manager, has been my "go-to" all these years. The team has always been kind and helpful. We moved from Kennesaw over a year ago and still make the 25 mile commute JUST so Olive can receive care there. They are the best.

Sadly, after visiting here since the 80's with Dr. Boone, I can no longer refer anyone to this practice. I took my German Shepherd in for her annual. Easy enough, but I left in tears. Dr. Todd Jones is completely unprofessional and lacking in bedside manners. Not only did the vet tech pull my dog by the neck when she wouldn't leave me, I could hear them fussing at her to sit multiple times. Then I heard the tech say "Were ready for you doctor." Um, ready for what? Why weren't they doing the exam in the room? I had questions that weren't being addressed. The doctor didn't even come in to speak with me prior to the exam. When I finally heard my dog yelp in pain, I went through the door and calmed her. Dr. Jones said "We aren't quite done with her exam." I said "Do you not do that in the room anymore?" Instead of giving me a straight answer, he condescendingly said "We'll note on your chart that you want that next time." He still hadn't answered my question. And there won't be a next time for this practice. I would never take my dog here again. I told Dr. Jones I wasn't happy with how they were treating my dog or me and he came back with some lame excuse about Covid. I told him to stop with the excuses. He started yelling at me and said "I'm 50 years old and a doctor!" I said well "I'm 49 and you are a shit doctor." He pouted and left. I could read his narcissistic personality like a book. I was so upset and not one person in that office gave a shit. Not one. The lady that sits on the far side didnt even acknowledge anything was wrong. She's like a zombie. I loved this practice for a lifetime but Dr. Todd Jones is a horrible vet. I even said "I've been coming here since the 80's." He replied "We'll I've been here for 3 years and I've never seen you." Um, ok. 3 years and 40 years is vastly different. This guy actually thought he had some clout when he had none. So, if you want your dog to be pulled by the neck, no doctor to talk to you and for everything to be done in their secret little back room then be yelled at, by all means, Dr. Todd Jones is your guy! You can't miss him. He's the guy that thinks he's awesome because "He's 50 and a doctor." He alone ruined a lifetime of loyalty to this practice. Note to Dr. Jones...it's NOT about YOU! It's about the wishes and comfort of your customers and patients! Guess he was absent the day they taught basic manners and how to be professional. I waited 2 weeks to post this review to give myself time to process, but yeah, I'm still mad at how they treated my dog. I'm gonna tell everyone who will listen to go anywhere else but here. Good work Dr. Jones. You only come in once a week yet manage to ruin your partners' reputation. Pathetic.

First Time-Not impressed. I brought my dog in for a simple Bordetella vaccine. I was ignored by the receptionist, finally another lady arrived and gave me paperwork to fill out. She left to go to the back. I brought the completed paperwork up to the desk where I was further ignored until she felt like acknowledging my existence. I did ask if someone (not necessarily the Vet, just someone) could look at a small spot on my dog and just tell me what it might be. I was given a dirty look and a stern reprimand that "You DO NOT have an appointment with the Vet-only for a vaccine!!" I replied, "Yes, I know -I just wanted someone with some knowledge to look at it and clue me in" She replied "You will HAVE to schedule an appointment for that!" Eventually, someone came out for my dog and he was returned after the vaccinations. When it came time to pay, I used a favorite credit card with a good amount left on it to use just for small purchases. The woman screamed out "DENIED" in a loud voice. I was shocked and felt mortified, as you do-but I knew that the card had money on it. I had planned for this visit. I was grateful there was only one other person in the lobby. I said, "okay-that one sometimes has problems, here's another one." She reluctantly tried the other card which I KNOW has money on it and this time yells out " THIS one's DENIED too!" I said, "Maybe it's your reader? Because I know these are both good cards" "Ya want me to type it in, instead? " she asked- acting like she was giving up a kidney for me. "Yes, Please" I said. So, she typed in the credit card, waited a second and yelled out "DENIED!" I gave her my bank card from a well known bank. She types it in, said " oh THIS one is GOOD" and I said "Yes, and the others were good too." She comes back with " Maybe YOU want to call them when you get home" I took my paperwork and left. When I went to the car, I checked online and my cards are fine. When I got home, I called them and they are fine. I understand a previous person's review that an abrasive receptionist is not to be compared to an excellent vet, but I feel that the front office is an example and representation OF the Vet. Good manners and a little empathy and kindness, not to mention confidentiality, especially with a person's account, can go a long way. I have since cancelled my future appointments and will go elsewhere.

Unusual practice not to examine my dog in my presence. Took the dog back. Dr came in and told me treatment options. He never introduced himself or greeted me. Meds are more expensive than other vets. Don’t think I’ll be back. Might be right for some. Not for me

We’ve taken our cats, Scooter & Ellie, here since we got them and they’ve always been wonderful with them. The front staff and Vet techs are always very friendly and personable. The Veterinarian’s themselves are also friendly, caring and very thorough in answering any questions we had about care and feeding of our cats. Just this last visit I was asking some questions about our cats’ diet and the Veterinarian not only gave me all the advice she had, but she also did some additional research after I left and called me later to confirm what she had told me. They’ll really go that extra mile in caring for your pets.

This hospital doesn’t have a large variety of alternative medicines such as injectable medications to better care for dogs who have cervical IVDD and refuse to take pills. I left my dog for a couple of nights for them to transition him to a different medication and he rapidly declined as I found out they were trying to force medicine down his throat even though he had a painful bulging disc in his neck (which ended up requiring $6500 surgery). In addition, anytime I brought him in for a visit during his disc episode, the doctor always had one foot out the door and her hand on the knob ready to be rid of us. I felt we were very uncared for and like a burden. Staff members lied to us about how my dog was doing in their care until the doctor finally admitted they couldn’t help him feel better. My dog left in so much pain that I almost put him down. Luckily, we found Animal Hospital of Towne Lake. This occurred last year but I am just now able to calmly review as the experience was so upsetting. I just want to share in case your dog requires medical care and not just checkups!

They have alway treated my dogs good. I love Dr. Ware and Dr. Jones.Cons: prices have gone up a lot.Other concern is I was in the lobby waiting on a busy day, I over heard the manager Brenda talking badly about multiple staff members to her front office lady. I think that’s was VERY unprofessional. Especially since i have been coming there for years and loved everyone I came across. I have heard her saying something about a lady name “Erin” saying she was weird for her Illness (unsure what illness). She also said something about another ladies being “ugly and weird looking”. I won’t be coming back because of what I’ve heard. This is is ridiculous. I called there corporate office to report her and they haven’t done anything except say “we are sorry you have to hear this”

This practice will listen to you with compassion. When my elderly dog was brought it, there was no chance of saving him from slowly dying without a ton of expensive treatment. Since he was over 14 and had a good life, I couldn’t continue to put him through that. This was not an easy decision, as my fur baby, I didn’t want to let him go. They were patient and talked through options and his current state. They allowed me to make a compassionate and informed choice. The vet and her tech were there for me and my girls. They helped my baby transition with grace and dignity. I will never forget the vet touching him and telling him he was a good boy. As hard as it was, I was thankful for their compassion. They helped my girls tremendously during that difficult time.
