I first reached out to Crossfit Bound after praying for months for God to direct me to someone to help me with my health. I was 270 pounds and out of control. Something kept telling me crossfit. But not being able to walk a flight of stairs without dying, I thought "what a silly idea". Met a crossfit Bound member in a Dr. Office waiting room and she began to tell me about this place. She encouraged me to give it a try, and I was hooked after my first training session. I met Jimmy Nixon, one of there wonderful trainers and members. We trained for months then he encouraged me to join the classes and become part of the community. Still overweight and struggling I reluctantly went to a group class. All I can say is that it was nothing like I expected . Some of the fittest people I have ever seen in my life were right next to me encouraging me through my workouts. Its a truly amazing place. I continued my personal training with Jimmy and now through this pandemic enjoying their online programming. It has been an amazing ride. I am now down 60lbs, can bench 135, squat 200, deadlift 250 and still complain about burpees! If your searching for a home gym, or like myself and need a answer to prayer. You will find it here.

I have been with CrossFit Bound a little over a month. I was initially intimidated to join because of where I was. But I took the leap of confidence and contacted Brandon. He invited me in and ever since then I have been hooked. I feel the change in my health and day to day life style. The coaches and class mates are honestly like family. The motivation is unreal and they constantly working with you to achieve your goals you set. My recommendation is if you have not joined do not wait any longer.

Great experience with Crossfit Bound. Contacted the gym 2 weeks prior to my travel to Kennesaw, and received email from the staff helping me to coordinate drop-in workouts. Clean, spacious, well-equipped facility. Instructor (Kathryn) was great about making corrections to form, and helped me scale my workout appropriately. Definitely a great place to workout, with responsive staff, and welcoming crossfit community. If in Kennesaw/Acworth area, I would recommend it. Thanks Crossfit Bound, for a great workout, and for helping me maintain my fitness on the road!

Crossfit. Something I heard people talking about and was always super intrigued by, but also too terrified to try myself. This past January, I had the opportunity to take the women's 6 week boot camp challenge offered by Crossfit Bound and it provided a three-fold experience: 1. It showed me that I if made a commitment to the program a handful of times a week for ONE hour at a time I could learn the core fundamentals that would enable me get on the path to better health. 2. By making this commitment, in short order I started seeing results. Results after one week of workouts! Results in my mental health and overall well-being! 3. It enabled me to continue after the class. I'm nowhere close to where I want to be, but I continue to see positive results and it has been without a doubt the best decision I made for myself in 2017. Have I been out of my comfort zone? Absolutely. Have I been humbled? Without a doubt. Has the experience provided me a chance to change for the better? 100%. I really love the energy at Crossfit Bound! I am encouraged by the coaches and the other gym members. I am continuing to improve and I am grateful for all of the positive changes in my life. Thank you, Crossfit Bound!qq

I was a monthly member at CrossFit Bound for about 3 months until my work schedule got increasingly demanding and I had to switch to a punch-card plan. The owner, Brandon, was very flexible and accommodating for my hectic work schedule. He and the other CFB coaches were attentive and helpful, consistently leading the classes with great instruction on a prompt and punctual schedule. Also, CFB has established a strong reputation in the CrossFit community as many coaches and athletes have won local competitions and gone to CrossFit Regionals and even the ESPN Reebok CrossFit Games in CA. The coaches are also members of the NPGL for the Phoenix Rise and competitors in Oly Weightlifting. Needless to say, I was proud of telling friends I worked out under such awesome athletes. The workouts were programmed well to where I was sore and knew I was pushing my body's limits, but it wasn't too much to where I wasn't able to walk the next day or where I was over-exhausting myself. Each workout is scalable and there's a friendly group with diverse fitness backgrounds so I never felt out-of-place during a class. The rig is Pure Strength, I believe most of the barbells are Rogue (I can only speak for the female barbells!), jump ropes are RX Gear, and there is a separate Oly flooring with Pendlay equipment as well. Obviously all top-notch fitness brands and plenty of space for any sized class! I was also very much spoiled with the working A/C in the facility, along with the gender-separate locker room areas with clean showers. I worked out here for ~3 months since work was nearby. I had to switch to a punch-card plan to live out my last few visits I could before my job would take me to Buckhead (aka too far for me to maintain a consistent membership here). I will miss working out here a lot and will always recommend CFB to anyone in the Kennesaw/N. Marietta/Acworth area!

Being former owners of a CrossFit box in another state, my husband and I were super picky about where we should join. We tried out several in the area and ultimately landed here. Quite frankly, the programming is just stellar. We are in the middle of the open right now, and our average folks are certainly holding strong, and it's the programming to thank. I desire feedback and correction when I'm working out, which is really what I pay for....that personal training aspect of what CrossFit gyms deliver for a fraction of the cost! I can trust Brandon, and Jessica with my fitness goals, and they listen as well as challenge me to go further than what I ever think I am capable. I'm not an elite athlete, so the scaled workouts are perfect for me. They push me to do more, but I don't feel discouraged or frustrated when I can't (or think I can't). The equipment is mostly brand new, with new stuff being added monthly. It's good quality equipment as well...and yes there is a difference. They've changed their flooring within the past few months and that alone was such a brilliant addition! They have separate men/women locker rooms with a shower, as well as a little play area with toys and a DVD/TV for the little ones if you find yourself (like me) needing to bring a tagalong. This weekend they're ramping up their kids program, and having 3 kiddos, I'm certainly looking forward to that. I love the community aspect as well. Just check out the wall of all the members and the range of people that go there that have a common thread of a desire for a healthier lifestyle! Solid owners. Solid Programming. Solid box.

You're not going to find a gym with more accomplished CrossFit coaches. Both of the owners are not only multiple CrossFit games athletes(the highest level you can go) but both are grid league athletes. I can honestly say they are just as good at teaching people the sport they love as they are at competing at it. In addition, as a family owned business, you can really feel a close community there and immediately welcomed when you walk through the door.

If you see a special deal on Groupon or other coupon website, don't bother with this gym. I bought a Groupon for $100-worth of classes and owner changed his story 3 times as to how many classes for which it could be used. He also didn't respond to my last email asking about the original amount he told me, even though I provided documentation from initial email. It seemed very unprofessional and I felt I wasn't treated well just because I had a Groupon, when I was using that Groupon with the intention of potentially joining the gym if I liked it. I looked forward to joining because from what I've heard there is great camaraderie among Crossfit-goers. Definitely won't be doing that! If you're willing to pay full-price for a membership here maybe you'll have a better experience, but I'd think twice before taking advantage of the Yelp deal they're advertising right now.

One of the greatest places to workout at... Coach Brandon Phillips is one of the best in the business. He takes everyone's fitness needs into mind, whether your a seasoned vet to someone who had never seen iron, he makes sure that he sees you through every workout.
