Benchmark's excellent occupational therapist, "Nikki" Nicole Mathis, offered the healing care and instructive support that I needed to help me recover from injuries to my left hand, wrist, and shoulder. Nikki is trained for needling, and cupping which helped significantly with the extensive scar tissue, and painful nerve damage from my two surgeries. I can not thank her enough or Benchmark for their wonderful, caring staff. I highly recommend this Benchmark for ALL your Physical Therapy needs.

This location is so amazing. Everyone is super friendly and very professional. Nikki is amazing. She is very knowledgeable and has given me use of hand and shoulder back for which I'm very grateful. I couldn't ask for any more. I would recommend this location with highest praise.

The PT staff is well-trained, and their intake process is thorough at the Kennesaw location. My recovery from an injury has me back at the gym and walking every day. The PT prescribed varied in routine to keep it fresh. Like all things, you have to follow up at home.

Nikki and Kate have helped restore my left thumb function after my joint replacement surgery. Nikki is creative with therapies to help recovery move forward. Kate makes sure all the movements are done correctly. The added bonus is Nikki does needling which advanced my therapy when it seemed "stuck". Would definitely recommend this practice for OT hand therapy. A+

What can I say about Nikki and her team? I recently completed a number of sessions of hand therapy with Nikki. (My second session was with the kind Katherine).
This sort of thing was entirely new to me, so after setting up the schedule of appointments for treatment I wasn’t sure what to expect.
Once I arrived at the location, I was put at ease by the young ladies at the front. This continued with Nikki, as she went about evaluating my situation and documenting the issues. Not only was Nikki very professional in her approach, she injected her own friendly and warm personality throughout. I was impressed by the way Nikki used and encouraged humor in the sessions with me, a quality she displayed with her other patients also. In this way I felt Nikki recognized the humanity of the person she was working with and sought to bring it out.
All in all, Nikki was truly amazing! I would recommend her to everyone who needs the specialized services she offers.
And did I say how grateful my hands are?

When I needed hand therapy after a severely broken wrist, I found that Benchmark was the closest (6 min) from my house, and I booked an appointment there with no knowledge of it. From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed by the friendly staff. The calm and relaxing atmosphere helped me feel at ease during my appointments.
I especially want to express my deepest gratitude to Nikki Mathis for her exceptional care and dedication. Her expertise and unwavering support were instrumental in helping me regain the use of my right hand.
Before starting therapy, I thought I would never fully regain the functionality of my hand. The loss of use of it had a profound impact on my daily life. But from the very first session, Nikki instilled in me a sense of hope and determination. Her personalized treatment plan, combined with her compassionate approach, made all the difference.
Nikki was not only a skilled professional but also a very personable, caring individual who truly understood my needs. I had a 9+ month recovery for a torn acl and this place was there with me for every step of the way, ms Steph was my doc here and she was the best, pushing me to do the best and because of he I’ve fully recovered. From Steph to the rest of the staff there (all amazing) this is the place to be. THANK YOU BENCHMARK HAYAAAAAA!!!!

I have read all the glowing reviews about Benchmark. Unfortunately that was not my experience. I was sent there to have custom splint for my thumb prior to going to PT at my ortho group. I have a pin in my thumb and the tech was, to me, unfamiliar with how to remove dressing and how to position "putty" over pin to form cast. She did a sketch of my hand on a paper towel, got a piece of blue plastic that resembled peg board, and (are you ready?), put it on the FLOOR to cut the pattern. I said "you put that on the floor!", to which she said " oh the water will kill the germs". Really? You're going to put that over fresh sutures? People had walked over that floor. The putty she put around the pin fell off, and she put it back on without doing a fresh piece. In cutting off the dressing, she cut her glove. Did not get a new one. The other tech was eating a candy bar or jerky and drinking a beverage while talking to a client. He had a question and either she didnt hear him, or chose to ignore him ! and walked away. Tech that was working on me did not clean around the pin, did not wrap with fresh gauze, and put the sleeve over uncovered sutures. The pin formed a pyramid in the splint and was not buffered in any way from the splint. I went on to my ortho PT and she correctly followed the protocol for dealing with this type of surgery. Medicare requires a DME certification to make custom splints. Not sure if this Benchmark even has that. In addition, there were dust bunnies from Hades in lobby area and entire place seemed disorganized. If I could give minus 10 stars I would. Will not recommend this Benchmark location.

Although unfortunate circumstances are the reason for me visiting Benchmark PT, the staff here brightens my day! Everyone is so kind. Nikki is my therapist and she is dynamite! Nikki pays attention to detail, she is so patient and listens carefully to my concerns. She has made my experience with physical therapy much better than I thought it was going to be! I’m super happy and impressed with the entire staff at Benchmark PT on Chastain Road!!!
