I'm sorry for the people who have had issues....it was amazing the first time then quickly went downhill with disrespect. The last few months have been awful- we skipped a month. This has been a tremendous blessing in my life. However, I was in line in the first part of August for more than 2 hours around back in a hot car burning up.... AFTER the 4 HOUR lobby wait. Last week I was badly sunburned, and nearly passed out. They had my fridge over flowing with HEALTHY, HIGH QUALITY food. They included cleaning products, hygiene products, teas, and medicines!!! In the end of August, half our food was uneatable and had to be thrown out. I have to wait for cooler weather to come.
I would rather be hungry than burned and blistered. So I waited a month for it to cool off-
The worst was today when I was accused of coming 3 weeks ago and using a child credit to upgrade when I MOST CERTAINLY DID NOT. I have proof of my last payment. I INQUIRED about the credit, but I PAID. The attitude and rudeness were appalling and highly offensive.
I was so happy I found this place, and now I have been humiliated here several times.
I don't know what to say anymore.....

I have been there twice and left with nothing
I have paid my "donation" and gave it to someone else. First the wait was 4 hours and left with nothing came back a second time and waited 3 hours and still left with nothing. I am sure they help. You just have to wait. May be it was mu luck. And I am sure the wait is worth it. It was not to me. God Bless everybody. There are other food banks, may be they give less but are sympathetic and empathic to people's time. Thank you any way.

Iam greatful for the help with food I got but I went my first time on 8-11-24 and I have never seen so many people I know we are need help,but what makes me not want to ever come back here is I sat waiting 5 hours waiting to get the food that you have to give a $11 or $32 donation for…. I have never in my life heard of this from a food bank any food bank…I paid the $32 because people was telling me it was a lot which it had a good bit but I got a whole case of blue berries and strawberries all of them was moldy and rotten I also got a case of sour cream that was over a month old food was defrosted everything was out of date…5 hours waiting for that and the people that was there that day had the nasty attitude and mouth and wanting to fight each other it’s just crazy

If I could give no stars I would. I got there around 11:30am didn't get the food until 6pm. I'm not understanding what was the issue. Especially it was not really a lot of people with the amount of staff they had to take so long. We was told around 3pm to go around back to collect the food. I thought I was out of there definitely since they were closing at 3:30pm...BOYYYYYY WAS I WRONG. We had to wait in the hot weather reaching 107 degrees. A couple of elderly people complain with canes and pouring sweat that they can't take it anymore. A young boy from the ministries yelled well get in your car than. Disgusting!! We came for help you waste our time and than tell us if we too hot to wait three hours in the sun. Than we running our cars wasting gas as well. The amount of money paying them for food and our time and gas just to get expired food is terrible. What kind of people are they. Everyone having heat stroke passing out we had to beg them for water which they opened the donated flavored water and gave it to a lady with a baby and an elderly woman. Which we had to beg for. What kind of ministry is this! I had a heat stroke almost passed out if it wasn't for a man that helped me I would be dead. He helped me to my car and brought the food to the car and made sure I was okay. Told me to drink the flavored water I had and I should be ok in my car with the air blowing. I thank him so much because I had my baby with me. He was drenched in sweat but looked out for me. You people need to be ashamed of yourself. If y'all wasn't picking out food for yourselves, families and friends it wouldn't have took that long. Also inside where they told us to sit reached 89 degrees so imagine us sitting for hours with babies and the elderly for all those hours than going out in 107 degree weather. Proceed with caution. I can't believe some of these reviews. One even talk of 30 minute wait never in a million years that must be one of their people that roll up and go making these reviews. Pretty sad. God sees it all. Be careful how you treat people and your motives for a non profit organization. This is the worse food bank I went to

This is my favorite food pantry in the world. I've literally been in four states, and there is none like this one. Not only do you Get great quality food. You get lots of fruits and vegetables and cases of snacks for the Children and you know we need that for the summer hack all year long. So I go there once or twice a month on a Friday get my groceries, and then I go to the grocery store and buy my meats and other things that I didn't get perfect plan for only a donation of $10 or $30 plus a $2 online charge. I always buy both. It's adding up to close to $500 worth of food

Heavens Gateway has helped my family tremendously from food to baby products and hygienic items that I could not pay for in any grocery store. The workers are very friendly, Knowledgeable and helpful.
