Loved how cozy it felt inside. We came out for my birthday and the most amazing thing about it was the birthday card that everyone signed for me. I have never experienced that before and this is what makes them different and stand out from the rest.

Food is always amazing! Highly recommend for any occasion.
About the restaurant: Sugo is a family-owned establishment that captures the ambience of a romantic Italian restaurant. Its low lighting and arched elements suggest historic architecture.Food & Drinks: Chef Ricardo Soto turns out tasty and well-presented versions of Italian classics, making the crisp arancini (rice balls) a good starter. "It's street food," explains owner and founder Federico Castellucci II. Or begin with the rich and filling mushroom ravioli with a hint of truffle; it could suffice for a light meal with a salad. Eggplant Parmesan is unlike any other we've ever had; it's not drowning in sauce but instead a restrained hand applied the tomato sugo and enhanced the dish with charred fennel, wild mushrooms and grilled zucchini. The menu also includes Federico's pork-based braciole. Vegetarian and gluten-free patrons will find plenty to like. Bartender Daniele de Benedictis, from Italy, enjoys breaking into song to croon "Happy Birthday" in Italian. The wine list emphasizes Italian selections, although other regions are represented, but we found reds served too warm. Ask to have the glass or bottle cooled down a bit. For dessert, choose the Greek cheesecake. (Spanakopita is available, too, in deference to Castellucci's Greek mother.) Reservations really are essential, especially on weekends.
