I took my Loro Piana raincoat to be altered due to recommendations from other customers of this fine business. Their incredible friendliness, expedient service and marvelous work, proved to be up to the task in handling a fine garment as the one eye have had altered on this particular visit. I cannot say enough about their great customer service and quality work. While headed down to the Atlanta area I drove from Highlands, North Carolina and I was certainly pleased! ?.

I love these ladies! I have come to Medlock a few times for Lehenga and Saree alterations for Indian wedding attire; and cannot begin to explain the amount of compliments I have received about how amazing my outfits look after Medlock works their magic. It is really hard to find a great tailor for Indian clothing who understands how the clothing should fit. Also the fabric usually always has alot of intricate mirror work, beading, lace etc. For the most recent wedding I attended Medlock took in 2 Lehengas and 1 Saree for me as they were about 2-3 sizes too big, strengthened the straps on my blouses as they were pretty much just strings, and added elastic to the waist of a Lehenga bottom for a more comfortable fit. They got the job done in less than 2 weeks which is unheard of for Indian clothing alterations, gave a fair price, and communicated throughout the process. I will be going back to them soon for another wedding!

Emily and team are amazing!! I wouldn’t trust anyone else with alterations. Very reasonable prices, fast turnaround, and convenient hours. I got a bridesmaid dress altered recently and will be back for additional dresses!

The alteration itself was ok. Wasn’t expecting much but service alone ruined the experience and will never come here again. First there is no tracking for customers. A piece of paper that they write your name on. You dont get a copy and they won’t tell you the price unless you ask. They say trust us and just come to claim when its ready. They wont call you just an anticipated date of it being ready. You show up and they cant first find it and think you are in the wrong place. Then when you try to inspect the work is actually done they immediately go on the defensive and say they only do work that you tell them to do. Wait what? So Im not even allowed to check the work to ensure it got done properly and if not its my fault? They don’t take credit cards which they fail to mention at any point too.
Also, don’t have chairs in the business if you don’t want people sitting in them. I had my 7 year old with me and they were on the chair to have the worker or owner grab her by the arm and say not to be on the chair because there are plants in the way? You never grab any children in that fashion. Especially for just sitting in a chair that you have available. If you don’t want people sitting in a spot because of the plants then either move the plant or move the chair.
You are so lucky I remained calm and all that is happening is me never coming back to your business.

We had the most amazing experience at Medlock Alterations. My daughter bought at gown at a bridal salon that abruptly closed its doors without notice. Fortunately, we had the dress in our possession but we needed it to be fitted and altered properly.My other daughter had had several minor alterations done and highly recommended Emily. She did the most beautiful work on the dress, refitted and added the necessary changes. The bustle was stunning and intricate yet easy for us to do and the level of detail was remarkable. We cannot say thank you enough for your workmanship and effort, and above all your kindness. You helped to make my Emily's dream come true.

The customer service could be better. I went to get a blazer tailored and said I have never had a jacket tailored before. I had no problem admitting this because I wanted to be clear that I didn’t know what I needed done.They then began to pin my jacket and show me how it would look and gave recommendations. I then said I needed a quote and was met with “we didn’t need to do all that pinning if you just needed a quote.”How on earth can I get a quote before I know what needs to be done? They can’t possibly know what I need as a customer if I myself don’t even know it.

overpriced and rip off, got my dress altered here and they told me the price after they took all the measurements and it shocked me as it was way beyond my budget. i didnt want to be difficult and put up a fuss so i still paid it but was very disappointed. my dress was $80, alterations was $230 just to take in the waist and hem the bottom. if i knew it was going to be that expensive i would’ve chosen a better dress and put that money into the actual dress instead.
to make matters worse, i had lunch with a friend the next day only to find out she had to leave soon to pick up her dress and as we were talking we found out that we had ours done in the same place. i went and picked it up with her (both of ours was ready for pickup together) and after i was talking to her about the price of hers and she paid $100 less than i did to get the same thing done. she also agreed that they ripped me off and overcharged me, not sure how they come up with prices but i would recommend going elsewhere to not get ripped off ?
my dress was a plain dress with a basic cutout (no sequins, no fancy designs etc) so not sure why it was so expensive for what it was, and the results were just mediocre (got the job done but the part with the waist taken in looked a bit off/ funny)
i will say the workers there are very nice and sweet but thats about it

I have been using Medlock Alterations 15+ years. Emily and Jenny are the absolute best for any alterations. I have not lived in Johns Creek for 12 years and still drive to this amazing mother/daughter team for my alterations.I highly recommend them for all types of alterations. Do not be afraid to take your high end apparel to them either. If they cannot fix it, they will tell you the truth. But I have never had them not be able to fix a single thing! They even repaired a tethering strap for my husbands truck!!
